  • thumbs up if u heard the music and now u wanna see the movie

  • fuck this occultist movie

  • @rover1991fn Aha, fuck -you-.

  • @CT472190

    explain.

  • i came here for the BEST Scene in the song 3:00 <3

By the way.I Think the movie was Masterpiece!!!!

  • cet chanson me fais penser a moi et la tourmente que je traverse... Musique superbe

  • you know how AWKWARD this was seeing this movie with my mom?

    well if you're wondering, VERY.

  • @carlyluvszeepugs i know that feel

  • i listen to this everyday just to relive the moment in the film. lmao lame.

  • That film blew my fucking mind all over the wall. So dark, and sensual, and cerebral, and provocative, but somehow tasteful. It wasn't anything I expected. They did great making the trailers vague. The people who were open minded and didn't call it "just some girly movie about a ballerina" were rewarded with the magnificence and wild mindfuck that this film was. Black Swan is what movies are supposed to be. PURE FUCKING ART!

  • This music conveys so much emotion, pure beauty.

  • this movie was disturbing yet BEAUTIFULL at same time in a very awkward combination o___o

  • Whenever I hear this song, I automatically remember Barbie of Swan Lake. Then, I started to feel like crying because I started to remember my childhood when everything is so awesome and fun. Oh God, I miss those times. T^T

  • I've never heard this song before. To be honest, I clicked it by mistake. I'm glad I did. This is a gorgeous piece.

  • This song. . .it was on Princess Tutu. ^_^ AWESOME! <3

  • @ShinjaVampire91 really was it?

  • i loveeeee this melodiiiiii

  • This film is the best i have seen As this S.T is the best i have ever listened !!!!!!

  • For all the posters believing Black Swan is a film of quality: time to check out some of the films the director was referencing/ripping off. That's Polanski's Repulsion and The Tenant for starters. Even Carrie is much much better. Portman is a very lovely creature who can not act - at all. Deneuve in Repulsion obliterates her, they're not in the same universe. Black It's just out luck to be living through such a magical (film) era. Do your homework. The director did.

  • @ps474paul Obvious troll is obvious

  • @KNIGHTMAREMANIAC Not, he is actually right

  • @ps474paul fiiiiiiiinally someone who agrees with me that this movie is a 'frankenstein' of other stories/films !!

  • @ps474paul Sorry dude. I know you're not a troll because you're damn right!

  • The film and everything about it is beautiful

  • The best part is 2:30 :D

  • Such a pretty song. :)

  • i love the scene where they les off

  • I can't believe i have the opportunity to write a whole thesis paper on Black Swan. This is really the best assignment I could EVER DO EVER ! :D

  • The director cannot be "Black Swan." it's Darren Aronofsky; black swan is a movie not a human being.

  • 4:40 when everyone who got that film dropped atleast ONE tear, even if crocodile one... you know it's true because YOU dropped that atleast ONE..

  • Pi : Pi r^2

Requiem For a Dream: Lux Aeterna

    Black Swan : Perfection

Darren Aronofsky + Clint Mansell = Beauty

  • @rangeyo + The Fountain - The last man, Death is the road to awe, Tree of life...

  • @shabankv

The whole Fountain's ost is grand.

  • The beggining is so relaxing *.*

  • This reminds me of Billy Elliot lol.

  • I went to see this film with my ex girlfriend. She was a ballet dancer, and was really looking forward to the film. I wasn't expecting much. We came out of the cinema the absolute opposite. I thought it was the best film of the year, she was a bit disappointed. Great film.

  • MAESTRO.

  • This song is simply perfection.

  • Will My testicles shrivel up and fall off if I watched Black Swan?

  • @Gendo3s2k No, they'll swell uncontrollably.

  • @Gendo3s2k what, cause it has dancing in it?? it's actually a psychological thriller/horror..... also if youre secure in your masculinity theres no reason you cant watch, even -GASP- enjoy, ballet...

  • To all ones who hear the Hedwig Theme in this and to the sophisticated, elite members of their own club called 'White Knights Who Shall Protect The Sacred Treasure That Is Classical Music':

    /watch?v=S76CGGPqI3s (0:07)

    /watch?v=zCNHVMIYqiA (0:22)

    /watch?v=aZei2IUQojw (1:22)

It's one small segment divided over 3 brilliant pieces of music. Every piece of music sometimes 'copies' one another, it's unavoidable. Or else you might want to mention 1:53 as part Darth Vader's Imperial March f.e.

  • This Brings the audience hope everything will be allright for Nina after the passionate Kiss , sadly she just descends to her own personal hell and in the end of the song we just see her fade away as the Swan Queen love the final 10 minutes of the film =(

  • i would love if someone would post the piano version of this.. im trying to learn to play it but its hard to do when im listening to this version haha

  • Guys, if you think this is the actual Swan Lake piece you are completely wrong. This is the wonderful variation.

  • (at 4:40) right before the ending cresendo, you find yourself following a lilting delicate melody... almost as if it were an afterthought... so painfully delicate as to be almost unbearable... as if the slightest breath would destroy it...

and then it surrenders us to ending...

    --Mike

  • Tchaikovsky was a genius

  • Tchaikovsky is a genius

    Clint Mansell is a genius

Clint Mansell + Tchaikovsky = This song

  • Comment removed

  • How the oscars should have gone:

    Best Film- Black Swan

    Best Screenplay- Black Swan

Best Actress- Natalie Portman/ Black Swan

Best Supporting Actress- Barbara Hershey/ Black Swan

    Best Music- Black Swan

    Best Costume- Black Swan

    Best Director- BLACK-EFFIN-SWAN!

  • @funnyman200 Clint Mansell couldn't have won an award for this music as it wasn't his own score - he added his own (brilliant) embellishments to Tchaikovsky which made him ineligible to win :/

I agree with what you're saying though.

  • @funnyman200 I liked Mila Kunis more than barbara hershey

  • @funnyman200 Black Swan is not a director, Darren Aronofsky is however.

  • @funnyman200 I take it you really liked the movie?

  • @funnyman200 definitely best director.

  • @funnyman200 NO¡¡¡ BASTARDS YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT CINEMA¡¡

  • @funnyman200 It's Best Picture you fucking retard.

  • @wiltonfootball78 Sorry :(

  • @wiltonfootball78 Such eloquence! I hardly expected such a sonorous, sophisticated level of linguistic refinement to come from such a language as English! Please, good sir, do go on and inform us of what you designate as "fucking," for I am most mesmerized by this display of magniloquence.

  • @CaptainMorganThe3rd Epic :D I can't be more eloquent than that :) but I'm sure you know what I mean!

  • About 1:00 onwards it's the actual finale to Swan Lake.

  • This soundtrack is phenomenal. I don't care if Clint Mansell had to use themes from Swan Lake. He still should've won an award.

  • @birdofbrie The whole film was robbed of Oscars... but I'm glad Natalie won, at least. This film was brilliant. On so many levels. Best movie I've seen in ages.

  • 1 person is not perfect

  • It wasn' t harry potter but peter Pan!

  • Was perfect, ¡ I was perfect !

  • with this song I picture death, the moment when you cross to the light

  • So, which piece from Swan Lake is this based on?

  • @popelauncher the finale part

  • @popelauncher scene finale

  • <3

  • Nothing could be more perfect than 4:39.

    <3

  • Just Perfect

  • LOL.... that's so no Harry Potter.... if you'd have heard one time The Swan Lake you'd know that this is a "remix" of the original pieces.

  • Really? How can someone say its from Harry Potter?

  • at 2:30 it is harry potter

  • @po6l

No. That is not even from Harry Potter.

It is called Swan Lake, and is created by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

  • @WINxTEC did SEE WHAT I WROTE? AT 2:30 DUMMI!

  • @po6l

Yeah, but is not related with Harry Potter.

  • oh yea that is from harry potter?

  • "The only one standing in your way Nina, is yourself."

  • The thing that is BS it was ineligible for entrance to the academy award because of the use of Tchaikovsky music! This honestly would of wom best score in my head.

  • Another movie where Vincent Cassel is PERFECT! I like this men!

  • I'm hearing a theme from Billy Eliot ....

  • @CAMILOSES1

It is, but this one is a recreation by Clint Mansell from the original by Pyotr Tchaikovsky which is called Swan Lake.

  • The dvd comes out March 29th. i'm so excited! >w<

  • @eijifan14 In Germany it will be released at 10 June. I hate you.

    Otherwise... it's my birthday. :D

  • Sounds like Clint Mansell borrowed from Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet.

  • @andrewtheman19 This is the finale piece from the 4 acts of swan lake composed by Tchaikovsky......

  • @ricayovillanueva

Of course it is. I knew that I...DON'T JUDGE ME.

  • whens the book out

  • is anyone else hearing Harry Potter?

  • gives me chills!

  • I love the melody at 2:46

  • MASTERPIECE

  • Mmmn, not as striking as Mansell's other work....still very epic and beautiful all the same, but it doesn't quite strike me the same way as his other music. Still extremely passionate though. But perhaps I'm a little more into the subtlety of his other works.

  • i love BS ;)

  • OMG!!! this movie is perfect... and the music is excelent...

  • I swear I'm hearing a theme from harry potter :)) But otherwise... epic song. Just great.

  • @RocksyTDG ...from what? NOWAY!

Harry potter? are you sure? Give me time please... :)

  • @BilloukosGR like from 1:21. there are a couple of notes that keep repeating throughout the song and they sound just like smth from harry potter 1 or 2 i think :D or it's in my head :D :))

  • @BilloukosGR from 1:21 for example. or 2:32. it keeps repeating throughout the song and i can swear it's smth i heard first in harry potter 1 or 2. :D or maybe it's all in my head

  • @RocksyTDG

I'm not expert in music theory, but I think I know the tune you're talking about. It's basically a string of four notes that sounds like one from Harry Potter, except in a different key. There are a lot of pieces with the same string of four notes.

Do you get what I'm getting at? lol. I didn't explain very clearly :(

  • @Fennekit yeah, i know :P i didn't say it was original to harry potter or anything like that. it just reminded me of harry potter. thus kinda.. rendering the song less powerfull since well... if u think harry potter, especially the first movies, u think kids playing :))

  • @BilloukosGR Oh yeah i can hear Harry Potter from 2:40

  • @BilloukosGR its from the original swan lake musical. I felt the same at first.

  • Comment removed

  • @revol06 would make sense :D Not knowing swan lake all that well, i couldn't have placed it. Thanks for the info though :D

  • @RocksyTDG The reason why some bits sound a bit like the harry potter theme is because john williams' HP score borrows heavily from Tchaikovsy's swan lake, which is of course the basis for the black swan score.

  • @RocksyTDG ASSHOLE

  • @RocksyTDG FUCK!

  • @RocksyTDG Can you tell what the words are being singing?

  • @RocksyTDG Yeah, because both scores are performed by The London Symphony Orchestra. Great performance.

  • @RocksyTDG Yeah, it does have some similarities. Before I saw the movie I thought they were the same.

  • @RocksyTDG

I can hear it what your talking about, but that is actually part of the original score for Swan Lake mixed in with the composition

  • @RocksyTDG

Yeah at 3:00, parts of Harry Potters theme song comes from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

  • @RocksyTDG I swear you have no taste in music. Get some culture boy

  • @xverxverxverga The thing is, you know nothing of my taste in music or anything else. And I'm not the only one hearing that. People have actually explained why some are hearing the harry potter theme. :) Try reading some more before commenting just for the sake of it.

  • @RocksyTDG C'mon guys... and I can hear Bach! So what?

  • @BilloukosGR So nothing. Everyone was just stating their opinion. Some in more inspired ways, without using any body parts as arguments :))

  • @RocksyTDG I heard a bit that was similar to Harry Potter too.

  • @RocksyTDG me too. i swear people don't believe me when i say harry potter used swan lake as its central theme, and then i make them listen and they believe me.

  • Comment removed

  • @RocksyTDG Ummmm... Have you ever actually watched Harry Potter...?

  • sounds like start wars

  • @yyyy2999 start wars? dnt u mean star wars??

  • @PrettyBadTwerkers yeah, doesn't it?

  • mansell turned something supposedly elegant into graceful terror

  • best movie ever!!!

  • is 4:40 a fix part of this song or can i find a full version of these wonderful soundings?

  • @zemse93 The song is like that.

  • Amazing!!!

  • man i would watch this movie a million times

  • 3:00 is so dramatic.

    It`s great

  • the ending is amazing! Best scene of the movie and best song by the way! The part at 4:40 is amazing

  • perfect

  • the ending is ESPETACULAR, I was stunned!

  • EXCELENTEEE!!!!

  • Why is it that english-speaking people never write the names of Russian composers correctly? It's spelled: Tsjaikovskij ;) !!!!

  • @Synna89 I never knew that was the correct spelling of Tsjaikovsky. The English rearrange letters in words when adapting it into the English language because it is easier to pronouce or spell for us. It is not just Russians we do this to but also the immigrants from Asian. When becoming a citizen we will shorten their names and make it become "Americanized" if you will, or easier for them and us to communicate properly.

  • @1986ASura In a nutshell, in my language... @Synna89 μην γράφεις μαλακίες!!!

  • @Synna89 There isn't a "correct" way to write Russian names in English since Russian names are written with Russian letters. Yu're the only person I've ever seen spell his name that way.

  • @adari94 Just because russians have some different letters (same as my own language - norwegian), doesn't mean EVERY letter is different.. And if you just do a quick Google, you'll see plenty of other people spelling it like that, cause it's the correct way!

  • Long life tchaikovsky...

  • even the music's epic!

  • Is there a longer version of just the 4:40 bit just when she jumps?

  • what was the song they played when natalie accepted her golden globe?

  • @SBWaffelmann if you look again i believe INCEPTION got a 9.0 on IMdb

  • Endin was soo beautiful! and weird. I love the ending and atleast she died being perfect.

  • ahhh.. this was so freakn awesome!!!! I'm glad she won an award the other night, very much deserved.

  • I feel like crying. :( The ending always makes me cry when she says "I was perfect" and you can tell she's not gonna make it because of how bad she's bleeding.

  • @RachelHaywire the ending is either real or just another paranoia? WHO KNOWS!

  • @cepacol06 I think the ending is real.

  • Why is there so much credit given to Mansell for this particular song? This is all Tchaikovsky! Yes, I recognize the arrangements Mansell made, but I fail to see how they've improved on the stunning original ballet music...

  • amazing movie and amazing music!

  • Utterly gorgeous arrangement. Perfectly matches the mood and intensity of the finale of the movie. Tremendous work again by Clint.

  • i'm pretty sure this movie has the highest IMDB rating i've ever seen. even greater than Titanic, wow...that's saying something

  • I've never been so shaken by a movie in theaters. This soundtrack will always haunt me. In a beautiful way.

  • In the middle of the film I had to go to the restroom; I couldn't get out fast enough......this film had me twisted like a pretzel....i must see it again; after listening to the score.......Portman for Best Actress !!!!!! and Best Score....#36 thumbs up for your post...TY

  • you inspired me to do this tutorial..thank you..greetings from germany

  • At 4.40, watch yourself diving into the abyss.

  • @gas200 I had goosebumps

  • @gas200 ahhh, yes :)
