@PoseidonKross2009 - I think Danny and Oingo Boingo were well into that kind of imagery before Tim Burton came along. Not that Tim 'stole' it from them, but maybe just had the same thing and maybe that's what drew him to Danny for film scoring.

hay boingo fan's have you heard the tribute band D.M.P. lead singer Rob. rock's dead on for early Danny. way cool they play in the L.A. CA area. at there last show I met Richard Elfman you know he started it all. then Danny took over. I ask Richard if still talks to Danny he said yes just a few hours ago. @dragonholder411 HI I just saw D.M.P. in Redondo beach .ca last week great as alway's at some show's when they do gray matter. they use one of Danny Elfman's one of a kind instrument's of his own design. the first time I seen Danny do gray matter that same instrument was just a long board with some stuff attached to it way cool look them up dead man's party

I don't know. Why weren't 90% of Oingo Boingo's song huge hits. I guess this song wasn't because it was a ska song before ska was cool again a couple of years later, and it wouldn't have worked then because of the synth-heavy sound. Oingo Boingo were just before, during and after their time in a way.

That's him. =-) He had a steady career in Oingo Boingo before doing scores. You can read about him on Wikipedia and IMDb and I've got just about all Oingo Boingo songs on a playlist.

Interesting, not exactly my favorite O.Boingo song, but nonetheless intruiging for its dinstinctly reggae sound.

What's really interesting, is that the genre of music which Danny initially modeled the band after is ska, the musical pre-cursor to reggae.
