Having "diverse genetics" does not necessarily mean it's healthier. As far as I'm concerned, it's not a good idea. As if Pit Bulls aren't strong enough? It's pretty ridiculous to inter-breed them with a Mastiff, just for size. This presents the issue of introducing a whole new temperament into the line. Not to say that Mastiffs aren't docile, but we KNOW the APBT is people friendly by nature. Just doesn't seem responsible.

I KNOW these dogs are being breed for head size and muscularity only, but did you forget about the frame and athleticism of a true pit lol? Having "diverse genetics" does not necessarily mean it's healthier. As far as I'm concerned, it's not a good idea. As if Pit Bulls aren't strong enough? It's pretty ridiculous to inter-breed them with a Mastiff, just for size. This presents the issue of introducing a whole new temperament into the line. Not to say that Mastiffs aren't docile, but we KNOW the APBT is people friendly by nature. Just doesn't seem responsible.
