DirecTV is more expensive than the Charter BUNDLE with a premium service. WAY MORE EXPENSIVE! The Charter Bundle is 100$ a month (100$ a year on a contract plan?) and DirecTV is 150.99$ a month.
Seriously just threaten them with legal action on the phone and if they try to blow you off make them believe you. If they are in breach, they're in breach and you will win in court. If the customer rep you're talking to is too dumb to realize this keep escalating or calling back until you get someone who has the intelligence to understand this fact.
When I read stuff like this I'm glad I have a lawyer in the family. One nasty letter from him is usually enough to get these asshole corporations calling you begging for forgiveness.
Bottom line if they're not providing you the level of service they promised they're in breach of their obligations.
I had 20 some shows in my priority list and after the power went out the other night for a few hours all prioritys in the list disappeared. Instead of saying about 20 in the list it says 0. I had to go and reprioritize what shows i can back into the DVR box. The rep on the phone says there is nothing they can do that it may happen from time to time. What B-S! I said if this keeps on happening i will throw the unit in the garbage. Like i would?
Yup I moved to FL from CA charged twice for the move out to my house three times in two years. Their new commercial is mind blowing. FL + actual weather vs. CA = No reception from Direct TV
Very common with Direct TV...if you have problems...they don't care. They got you hooked into the contract. After the sale...they don't want to hear about any problems. I'm paying $45 a month less (more channels and better reception) with cable. Also, don't have the TV receiver going out when it rains.
Contact your state's attorney general and file a complaint.

I don't like Direct TV either. I was outvoted 2 to 3 and had to witness the take away of Comcast cable. I want FIOS now!
