I have found the update to be well priced. I have a LOT of music and iTunes originally took 8 seconds to load. Now it takes less than a second. This follows with all my other software
Did you do an upgrade or a fresh install? I used both, after the upgrade I barely noticed a speed increase at all and then when I did a fresh install it was a lot better. Not sure if that's a product of clearing out the cruft or if it's Snow Leopard. Could be both.
why all the hate for snow leopard it's only 30$ and it's faster that leopard and it gives you back HD space i had 197gb then 216gb it installed in like 30min and it hasn't given me any problems
2. Older systems were written in "base 2" or something like that to recognize HD space (example: 250 GB HD read as 231 GB). Now SL is reading in "binary 10" or something like that so 250 GB HD=250GB HD. I think that's what it is :D.
Thanks for the review! I'm getting ready to install and this is quite informative :).

I did an upgrade. Most of my colleagues have had a similar experience too.

As for the HD increase;
1. SL no longer supports PPC, less drivers, etc.
2. Older systems were written in "base 2" or something like that to recognize HD space (example: 250 GB HD read as 231 GB). Now SL is reading in "binary 10" or something like that so 250 GB HD=250GB HD. I think that's what it is :D.
