  • ♥This song..

  • Bitches ain't shit

  • I have the strangest lack of boner from the beginning of that video.

  • I've been there. It hurts. You become defensive and brutal when you're scared. When no matter how much you want it to last for the rest of your life, but you know it's going to end. Love is fucked up. It makes you do things you've never imagined you'd do. It never really ends, it just gets to that point where you become lost and forget who you are because you're so pre-occupied; and when you try to become yourself again the bitterness takes hold. This was definitely a movie I could connect to.

  • @botchzilla Wow, you really put it down to words, i have felt that.

  • GOSH, frankly she was such a bitch!. Reminds me of girlfriends of the past, never get involved with a bitch like that. No matter what people say... ITS NEVER WORTH in the end.

  • is being too protective a form of possessiveness?

  • from a guys point of view, by the end of the film, the man is such a twat, a bully, blaming everything on her 'YOU made the promise' well.. so did you.. 'YOU think about frankie', the way he acted towards her was terrible, no wonder she wanted a divorce

  • RG is one of the best male actors in history. Simply an amazing talent.

  • love that song

  • such a great movie...GREAT movie...

    and lovely song <3

  • if a guy had done for me what he does for her in this movie, i would be endebted to him FOREVER. Fuck HER ARGH

  • @rednut27

    that's what you think.

  • I thought it was sad and when he was crying to her begging her to tell him what to do I just cried with him begging her to just love him. The movie showed the beggain of the relationship and the end but not the middle. We could say she was a bitch that didnt listen to him or that he was a drunk but the movie never showed the middle how they got to this place. I just felt sad and heart broken after this movie. This was a really good movie that made you feel for both of these people well it made me

  • @Powerfreshgirl1 I have done fairly extensive reading and found that the movie is more about the childs perspective of the relationship which could cause for the lack of the middle..the child grows up and sees certain problems between the 2 in his memories but cannot account for the whole situation..the director made it mostly about his parents..there is more realism in this movie than in any movie i have ever seen and i am not one for romance..one of my favorites of all time..

  • Ryan Gosling is AMAZING! here & in every movie.

  • he put more effort into the relationship than her.. It's really unfortunate that such a genuinely nice guy got stuck with that kind of woman ! He deserved much better..

  • @michaelgarryes20

Very good arguments, well done :) and I completly agree with you.

  • @muchgiggles Thanks:) Now lets meet eachother for a cofee and fall in love for eachother! kidding;)

  • This was such a good movie, she was such a bitch in the relationship.

  • OMG WOULD YOU FUCK OFF WITH YOUR REPLIES, AND I NOTICED HOW THOSE 'DEFENDING' HER ARE ALL WOMEN!!! I DON'T GIVE A SHIT, I SAID THE COMMENT IN JEST. DAMN.

  • As much as she was a bitch, she also had lots of goals and dreams before she got pregnant. Yes he stood by her, but he also in the end wasn't helping their relationship grow or move forward. He was a drunk from morning til dawn and had no goals, aspirations or desires besides being with someone that no longer loved him. She should have been more grateful, but sometimes love just isn't enough to sustain a relationship with people who have different goals. I think that's the Point of the movie

  • Blue Valentine > Drive

  • This truly was a great film, but now I'm scared to get married.

  • Ryan Gosling outshines the bitch anyday. Also, SHE DEFINITELY was the bitch in the relationship. And if ever such a hottie would ask me for a second chance, I'd do him.

  • i just finished watching it and man it was good ryan gosling your soo hot!!!

  • no words amazing 3

  • this is exactly how my current relationship is but i would be ryan's character.. i feel like most relationships are like this.. one person cares more than the other and it takes two so there is no point in forcing something when it's not meant to work out. i don't understand how things like that happen.. can you really fall out of love? i mean what is the person lacking now that you fell in love with in the beginning? i guess people just change and there is no going back, sadly.

  • @TheAmberlynn91 People that fall out love, never were in true love before. Otherwise ,even when people change, they would love them after all. Even if the person that i loved ,had an acident and would be paraplegic for the rest of her life, i would love still love her, even after changes. If with the time, she would become diferent personality, i would still love her, because when love is true, changes wont change the feeling.

  • @MichaelGarryes20 I think that people change over time and it's only natural. Sometime people fall out of love because they and their partners become different people.. I don't believe that it is fair to say they were never in love in the first place. People evolve, circumstances change, personalities change, interests change. Your example of someone's physical capacities being altered is not analogous to people growing apart emotionally, spiritually, psychologically.

  • @katsyeah I actually agree with michaelGarryes20, tho you do have a point...but the thing is most people think they're in love but in truth they're not...I think the couple in the movie is an example for that...hormones could be very deceiving lol kiddind. I think u missed michealGarryes20's point, it isn't about physical changes but he was trying to say if u really was ever in love w/ a person, u still has strong feelings for them no matter what happens, still together or not.

  • @iComeWithU Thanks, yes i meant that. I just took the physical changes because its an extreme situation. I meant, its very easy to be "in love" when everything is perfect arround it.But when less happy situations in life happens, that will prove if that " in love" is true love or not. I believe true love have the power to work out any type of problems in a relation, changes of personality, changes of appearance, problems with money etc... Just my opinion.

  • @MichaelGarryes20 People can be very much in love, like the couple in the movie was, but you can't deny that if things change (including appearances, what the people value most, how they behave, which all change naturally over time) it's possible to lose attraction and compatibility. You can still care about the person very much, but lose some of the "magic" anyways. Over a long time, some couples fall out of love. To say that those initial feelings of love weren't true isn't fair to them.

  • Gosling is so hot

  • this film is fucking awesome ..^^

  • All she did from the beginning was use him... she was completely selfish, keeping him to raise her child because she needed him too, probably never loved him, and resenting him for it....for loving her....then turns around and blames it all on him. I disliked her character so much. Theres too many love-starved people who would appreciate him...for a selfish bitch to end up with him.

  • @nikkisization I agree, I felt like even from the beginning she never truly felt the same way he did about her.

  • go see the film, if ever two people had chemistry on the screen its them!

  • YOu guys should check out My My My My by Spot and Ess. The girl who sings the the chorus is really good

  • These two folk did love each other but people do change, we don't stay the same. Sometimes it takes a lifetime to find out who we are and what we want. It is usually never planned, it just happens unintentionally. Just trying to find our way in this world.

  • I am a woman who has never wanted prince charming and someone who has got a great job and is going to stick around. I've only wanted to have a man who is my best friend who I want to shag. I think life can destroy relationships. One wanted to live in the moment and the other looking forward.

  • Dean didn't think of himself married and living the family life, but he found that this made him the most happiest and good at, especially with Cindy's daughter, he was a natural dad. He lived for them, not pursuing his dreams, he didn't want anything else. But Cindy did, she wanted to fulfill her dreams, ambitions and not be like her mum, submissive.

  • Dean Pursued Cindy. I feel that Cindy loved Dean because he showed himself to be loving, sincere, musically talented and dashing. I feel that Cindy felt that she had met someone who made her laugh, forget and who could be her refuge.

  • This song is right on! I was married for 20 years and I thought I was "in love"....we divorced and I believed I was to be alone the rest of my life...at 44 years old I meet my soulmate! When you are truely in love its like the song! Nothing matters but you two...money, trips, possessions...none of it matters! You never want to be without them! I hope that everyone can find their soulmate...Im just sad that it took me until the age of 44....but better now then never!

  • 0:44-0:53 kocham ten uśmiech <3

  • My favourite film with the best soundtrack!

  • 0:44

  • She did love him, but love ended up not being enough. He stayed at the same place and she kept moving on. He became very possessive and negative and it became harder for her to love him. Although, it is undeniable at how rude she becomes to him. They had no life outside of themselves and that was the problem.

  • @Smashly619 ur right

  • she's suck a fucking jerk.......

  • pls check out our covers :)

  • Trageedies hold the most truth. And we all want truth.

  • love this movie! one of his best. he's a great actor.

  • its tragedic but she just lost her love for him . beautiful movie .

  • ive seen it 8 times now

  • Let's be frank, she was the bitch in that relationship.

  • @MrSoprano92 you are totally wrong :) she wasnt a bitch at all, he was :) He was too ignorant and didnt see it coming although he could have seen it from the beggining and tried some changes in his life because only Dean's character was especially created for those blind males who are too blind to see whats around them.

  • @swaikis Dont call an ignorant a person that is love blinded. He was happy and in love. Call her ignorant for not telling him the problems of the relationship more soon. Only in break up scene, she tells him all problems, like mainly not being more ambicious in his life. He was happy with a bad paid job and a time to drink beer,so what, that makes him a bad person? She was totally selfish,he gave everything for her when she didnt deserve, and she ends dumping him, giving him no credit.

  • @MichaelGarryes20 Well fyi, loving someone doesnt mean you reached the top. Theres more to it than love, you have to work hard for both of you if u have chosen to live together - you should not be afraid of the word money, money makes your life easier, it helps you keep the relationship in hand and lets you have some free time to strengthen it. What im trying to say is, that being love blinded doesnt excuse you from being a total bitch and not working hard for maintaining a relationship.

  • @swaikis I agree with you,but im talking about the movie. Yes,money makes life easier, but i didnt think she thought much about money when she married with a guy that didnt even finished the highschool. She knew she wouldnt have "Doctor" as a husband, but she knew that would have something that loved her. But yes, maybe he felt too confortable in the relationship and didnt see the bad things comming, but she didnt made any effort to tell him what was wrong before break up anyway.

  • @MichaelGarryes20 Well if you're talking about the whole movie itself, I think the idea was not to show which ones' fault is that they couldnt be together, it was to show that getting married is not something that just comes out of the blue - you have to see the future in you. Im not married and still too young - I'm just guessing it's a very hard decision to make if you want to live together for long.

  • @swaikis (Dean words) "I feel like men are more romantic than women. When we get married we marry, like, one girl, 'cause we're resistant the whole way until we meet one girl and we think I'd be an idiot if I didn't marry this girl she's so great. But it seems like girls get to a place where they just kinda pick the best option... 'Oh he's got a good job.' I mean they spend their whole life looking for Prince Charming and then they marry the guy who's got a good job and is gonna stick around."

  • @MichaelGarryes20

studies have shown that men are more romantic that women. it's weird, but when you actually think about it, men really are the romantics. i think dean definitely had gotten it right. i love this film.

  • @Sherwin545s Yes,i think too. I always thought women were the ones more romantic, but after seeing this movie and especially after seeing how my strong relationship got broken,i must admit, Dean is right. I really wished i could had watched this movie some years ago,and maybe i would still be with the person that i love.

  • @MichaelGarryes20 And I have to agree with you, she made a mistake, she thought that if a man is good with other people, he is most likely to be good in a relationship. But that just affirms the fact that marriage is not something you want to play with. Since I see that we came to a compromise, I have to say that this argument helped me understand the movie and its meaning a bit more and I think Ill find a pretty good use of it in my own life :)

P.S. sorry for the double post, lack of symbols:(

  • @swaikis I accept your sorry haha:) Im young too, but i just got out of a relation of almost 5 years, and in a way i see myself in Dean. I gave everything i had,i sacrificed myself thousands times to make sure everything would go well,i gave my own welfare to a person,i forgot about myself. From the moment of the doubts till break up was more than fast, i got dumped with no credit, just like Dean. Worse, i got dumped and replaced in a space of days,

  • @MrSoprano92 This is true. But I think the lesson learned is that love is a curse, or a blessing. It can't be both, not at the same time. I think she was quite the tragic character; she fell to the same fate that RGs character described to one of his working mates. This is how I see it. Women are simpler than men. They have logic just like us men do; but we strive to have or logic be perfect, as if it were some thing that could changed. I can't even begin to think of an end to this but no space.

  • @Franchise70 Once Men and Women finally merge one in union, knowledge itself will become meaningless.

  • pues quiero ser su perro xD

  • @MrSoprano92 She was directly meaner to him, but it's not like he was the perfect husband either. He did try a lot harder to keep their marriage together than she did, but he didn't listen to her. He pushed her when she wasn't feeling it, which only made things worse. He didn't have many issues with her, but she had issues with him that he refused to listen to, so you could say she was the bitch but still, he wasn't perfect either.

  • @MrSoprano92 As much as she was a bitch, she also had lots of goals and dreams before she got pregnant.

  • @MrSoprano92 ur wrong

  • Bloody loved this film, such a real film <3

  • De lo mejor del cine estadunidense, sin duda.

  • Devastating movie, as a man I know what it's like to love with all you got and it's not enough.

  • I liked the structure of this film. As the present day version of them got worse off, it showed the past versions of them getting closer, ending on completely conflicting moments.

  • Ryan Gosling is one of those actors that I hated when he broke out (because he was handsome, and all the females from 12 to 80 loved him.) Now, I have to admit, I like him. Still jealous, but I'd be a liar if I said he wasn't good. This movie hits too close to home for me to deny it.

  • I love this song. This movie touched so close to home. I've felt every emotion each of them was conveying.

  • I hope we hear MUCH more from this group - GREAT sound.

  • @MySunnyFlorida We won't. They're all dead.

  • @SoyPetTurtle I knew that one of them was deceased but I didn't know they all were. But regardless it would be so nice if there were other songs of theirs had also been found. Just love the sound, pure clear voices.

  • @MySunnyFlorida Yeah, it would be nice.

  • At the very beginning of this video, seems like porn o_0

  • @manelucas1 You've clearly never seen a porn before.

  • @nokturnal5647 Oh, sorry. I will not discuss that with a expert jerk off =)

  • This movie was crushing for me, considering I've been through something quite similar.

  • i hated how shitty she treated him.

  • @omggg94 i felt the same way.. he was alwayse being nice to her, trying to comfort her.

  • One of my all time fav movies but it breaks my heart. I think Cindy and Dean do fall in love but the movie is about the sad fact that sometimes love leaves. Why? Where does it go? Great writing, directing and acting.

  • Ii don't take it that their relationship is over when the film ends. There isn't that kind of finality to it. It's just a snapshot of a relationship that when the film ens is in an uncertain place. But yeah, this movie is for real. One of the best.

  • It´s great. Big than the movie

  • oh god goodnight ill be seeing you <GN*

  • i love this part of the movie. this song is fucking awesome

  • This movie tears me up so badly. But I keep going back. Somehow, I imagine that maybe *this* time I won't end up crying and they'll make it. I just find myself screaming at the TV "...guys, NO! This is the part where you work that shit OUT!" Ah, such an affecting film.

  • @thetinydancer711 This is exactly what I do!

  • ah he is soo sexy! hahaha. they were such cute couple when they were younger <3, BUT then she was super selfish and mean as they got olderrrr! dayum her!

  • @shammuk02 she broke up with him because she wasn't in love with him anymore not because of the other guy :S

  • Comment removed

  • I didnt get the movie. But I made me feel sad, depressed. But this song... I feel in love with... makes you cry..

  • So many people dislike these movies because they are blinded by the films mood. It doesn't matter if it makes you feel sad/angry/think. If it makes you feel something great then it succeed in it's purpose. It's a lot better than feeling nothing at all.

  • I liked this movie somewhat, but it was so depressing. Ryan Gosling's sexiness and great acting and this song earned this movie bonus points for me :) I also really dislike the wife because she was such a selfish woman >:(

  • My Interpretation of this film is that it made me think and feel. Each main character in this film was not wrong. They were two people caught up by circumstances. We all can relate to that!

  • if I had a man like him I would never leave him

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • Neither one of them is perfect-

    Neither one is a monster.

No one should pick sides here.

If life were completely easy, we wouldn't have stories like this, or any stories for that matter.

  • When love is real, you don’t have to show it.

When it is true, then everyone will know.

‘Cause there’ll be no one but

    You and me,

    You and me,

Nobody baby but you and me!!!

  • do you know where I can find the photo that appears at 2.15??

  • @1KREMONA1 SORRY ON 2.13

  • This movie is brilliant. It's so realistic. It actually shows how relationships are sometimes, not all fairy tale like.

  • i thought that she just stopped loving him which happens.. ppl fall out of love

  • @shammuk02 He did do alot for her, but things changed and he stopped trying like what happens in most relationships now a days. Both parts stop trying, leading to wandering off into others arms, staying together for the sake of it or one/both of them getting hurt. It sucks but it's happened to the most of us, if it hasn't then hold onto that love forever and never let go.

  • Felipe solari me truxe aqui!

  • This story isnt about a girl dumping a guy after all he does for her, its about people growing apart and lives changing, thats the very nature of the movie that makes it so incredibly heartbreaking. When you've been in a relationship thats like that it lets you understand that it really makes this picture almost too beautiful to not be hurt by.

  • wierd how my life is similar to this film

  • You could see from the start that those 2 people weren't made for eachother. They loved eachother but sometimes that's not enough

  • 0:44

  • ryan gosling kills justin bieber. because... heu because he's ryan gosling !!

    watch?v=KcdCUJlBkb4

    bye bye bieber !

  • there's a hiphop song that samples this... search "spot and ess - my my my" pretty good

  • @LIVEYOURSOUL Man thank you for have shared this, it´s so a great work.

  • @LIVEYOURSOUL good suggestion, thank you

  • i watched this on the plane coming back from visiting my long distance girlfriend... oh god why did I do that

  • This movie is so indescribably good and real. It really makes you "feel" again

  • What the hell is this lame ass crap..?

  • @missceepink are you looking at your penis?

  • @skemsaren eat a dick cunt

  • @missceepink Is that what you would do in my position?

  • @skemsaren you mean your dad's position?

  • Comment removed

  • @missceepink yes, you should.

  • @skemsaren I really feel sorry for you dad...

  • Comment removed

  • That was pretty much the whole movie in 3 minutes.

  • @AlenaShoemaker not really, it leads you to believe it has a happy ending when in reality, it does not at all.

  • QUE DOR ESSE FILME DA DEPOIS DE ASSISTIR MAIS É SENSACIONAL.MUITOS PODEM ACHAR RUIM É PQ NÃO TEVE ESSA SITUAÇÃO .

  • why the name is Blue valentine??

  • que hermosos cuanto me encanta este chiko es divino!!!!!

  • I know what you mean mrjackolanterns....I felt the same way.

  • zor buldum kıymetini bilin

  • This movie brings up a classic question- is it better to live, love, and lose, or never to love at all? I say love, with all the repurcussions. What say ye?

  • @TheGoldcountry Hear Hear

  • You all want to know why he didn't get an Oscar? Fucking Hollywood couldn't stand the overwhelming reality in this genius film. Plus all the dudes are jealous of The Gos :) lol

  • @EyeHOPS I agree- too realistic. It might be a cliche, but that does not mean it's false- Hollywood likes Happy Endings.

  • In the movie, Gosling's character is pretty endearing, other than being an alky. Speaking as an alky who drove away his wife, though, I think some people here who are calling her a cunt and a bitch don't appreciate how booze can slowly destroy a relationship.

  • @thegoldcountry shes still a cunt

  • I find myself, in everyday life, mouthing those words "you and me, nobody baby, but you and me"..................

  • Who disliked this video????

  • heeeey heey hey....my my my my my my my my...

  • This song is so beautiful. I loved the film also. So raw. So real.

  • <3 =D

  • i loved the little girl!

  • the guy gives her nothing but love .. marrys a girl not carrying his child.... gets beat up over it .... and still decides to stick w her... after all that this girl still wants a divorce just cuz he got jealous over the guy that made her pregnant.... it just shows that women can fall out of love just like that even after everything that a guy has done for her

  • @shammuk02 you are very right.. and women don't need any reason to fall out of love..

  • @shammuk02 its more than just jealousy .. she didnt want to be reminded of how her parents would quarrel, she see her current situation similar to what her mum have gone through .. she believed dean has the potential but hes sticking around not doing anything satisfy with the low pay job and happy abt his drinking habits.

she hated her dad cause he gave Dean his approval and he didnt treat her mum well ..

im a guy btw, i would not marry to let my another half suffer

  • @attiac are you illiterate?

  • @shammuk02 It wasn't only that though, they just didn't work as a couple. They were always fighting even though they loved each other, they weren't compatible.

  • @shammuk02 She didn't divorce him because of that. You obviously didn't understand how complex or how completely real this film was. They were unhappy from the start of the film, and the relationship was slowly becoming worse and worse. It had absolutely nothing to do with seeing her ex. In fact, I don't think Cindy loved Dean at all. It was simply a good solution to an awful situation she found herself in.

  • @ashleeeemckay What makes you so sure you're right? It's not like all of the motivations were ever made explicitly clear in the movie.

My interpretation had Cindy losing interest due to the tragic death of her inner child or whatever it was that made her appreciate Dean's youthful silliness.

  • @ashleeeemckay really seemed as tho there a love there but not the kind she wanted in love i guess it was so sad why did they divorce he was so sad i love the movie but i did cry

  • @ashleeeemckay I agree. I love movies like this; the ones that evoke strong feelings. The ending was perfect, even though it isn't what the general movie goer wants to see

  • @ashleeeemckay did they divorce at the end of the film? I thought it went pretty unresolved.
