How dare you restrict the horses muzzle. You do know, that the muzzle is the most powerful part of a horse. It's reflexes are immense, and I can tell, that your horse has a powerful muzzle. You must let it free! Its the only way, for your horses happiness.
@SonicTheHodgeHeg The horse is getting grass to eat without becoming overweight. Being overweight is bad for horses just like for people, and can even threaten their lives. This horse is much happier being allowed into grass and being with his friends.
Hi I just bought a grazing muzzzle. I am wondering aout the fit, however. I notice that the hole in the bottom does not line up with her mouth. She is trying to graze but is not getting anything. The grass is very short.
This one is "Best Friend" brand, really an effective design. As per their instructions, I adjusted it to hang an inch below the end of his muzzle. THe halter must be pretty snug. He quickly learned to grab the grass thru the small hole. However, the grass needs to be at least 1 1/2 to 2 inches long before it can be reached thru the muzzle. Really long grass is harder for him too, espec. if it is soft, but he figures it out-- he's very motivated to eat. Good luck!
