my reality check didnt didn't work for me in my dream. it was the first time ive I've ever actually done one in a dream but it didnt didn't work. i do the one where you poke your hand with the other finger to see if it will go through but it didnt didn't. i I tried several times and afterwards even looked at my hands. everything was normal. any suggestions to fix this problem?
Part 2 sorry and only dreamt that my vison was just the colour beige and a slight thing in the bottom corner representative of being a pocket on a snooker table it was odd is this a wake induced lucid dream?
I had a dream last night where I where everyone is yellow apart from when you're in a building looking out I noticed my heads were yellow and this was a variant on an old dream I remembered there was a air rifle on the floor under a cushion which wasn't in the other dream I also woke up twice before thi ps pp
Wicked videos on LDing mate! I've picked up stone great tips, thanks.
I've always just used sleep paralysis in the past as my gateway into the dream world. I'm interested to know if you've ever experienced SP and if you use it too? If so, are LDs induced through SP stronger out weaker on your opinion?
i've had lucid dreams a couple of times in my life. i once dreamed i was alone in a buss, sitting in a passenger seat, driving the buss. that was really strange, so that was when i realized i was in a dream. I didnt know anything about lucid dreaming, and i really did not feel comfortable with it, so i tried to hit my head several times to wake up, and suddenly i did; and i regret trying to wake up as soon as i did.
I've been trying to dream for about 3-4 months now and i've written all my dreams down in a dream journal, done realitly checks everyso often etc, but nothing has happened. Not only that but I can't spot any dream signs in the dreams I've recordered. I don''t want to use previous dreams that I remember incase I get some part if it wrong.Do you have any adive/comments etc? I could really use your expertese right now :)
ok, so i've been trying to lucid dream for quite a long time now... This one night i dreamt that i was out biking and i notice i'm only wearing one shoe, when i get home i notice i'm wearing two shoes and i find this rather weird. So i decide to do a dream check and look at my hands. I see my fingerprints clearly and i can't push one hand through the other and i got all 5 fingers. How come my reality checks didn't work???
@EVHfilms The hand check doesn't really work for me, either. And pushing your hands together sometimes doesn't work. Just try a different reality check - imo the nose plug RC is good.
ok, I wrote my dreams for 3 weeks, I found my obscure dream sign "seeing fictional characters" I made myself believe that only happens in dreams, but it still didn't work. I just go to dream normally as always not noticing the abnormal things until I wake up. What am I doing wrong? is it because I take a sleeping pill before I go to bed?
i used to smoke pot on a regular basis, probably for 5 years straight. for those 5 years i swear i didn't have a single dream. i had to quit completely recently and out of no where i started remembering my dreams again. what is the deal with that? do you know? good tips hopefully i can make it happen right now.
@Homie4Hire Also another important thing is rememering your dreams and writing them down. I did this in my first week and remembering my dreams became very easy. And remember even if your first lucid dream doesn't last much don't give up! You'll get a lot better trust me! Up to now I've had 6 lucid dreams or more in the past month and they were all fun! Good luck!
@Homie4Hire lucid dreaming comes once in a while. I've had a few and even "learned" how to see if I'm dreaming but sometimes it just passes by. Most of the time your dreams fool you into thinking you're awake. So what I suggest is a reality check, it's to have a habit of checking in your waking life if your dreaming, and hopefully you'll remember to do it in your dream.
HELP? Can someone please help me, ever since trying to lucid dream i've been able to dream every night now. But the problem is i never realize that i'm dreaming, and just continue along with the dream. Any advice on being able to snap into reality during my dream and realize that I'm dreaming so i can actually lucid dream?
@Homie4Hire this happens to me too! i can remember my dreams but i go along with the dream. as if watching a movie. its cool that i can remember dreams but i cant control them as of now.
you know what i found out thats kind of weird, usually if i have a dream and wake up, and i decide to fall back to sleep right after i woke up, it usually continues the first dream that i had. I wonder why?
Last night I dreamt that a pair of floating hands spun across my room and I was paralyzed. As stupid as it sounds it was some scary shit. Then I had a false awakening and was like WTF? when I woke up I saw my blankets were all spread apart, you know as if someone moved them. Is it possible to make movements or flailing while dreaming?
@KingBowserVlog It shouldn't be, because sleep paralysis kicks in so you don't hurt yourself.
That's only in your REM cycles though, so when you're not in a REM cycle, you probably were moving around a bit. But, after every REM cycle you wake up. It's normal, it happens to everyone... but the reason you don't remember it is you go back to sleep almost straight away, and it just slips ito your subconscious. So you probably messed your bed up after one of your wakings.
i have a question, is it possible to have an item you have with you (like in inception where everyone had an personal item) to use as an reality check?
One quote I would like to say after watching this 3-Part video, is one that actually got me interested in Lucid dreaming; it is one by a famous philosopher and one of which some of you may know: "How can you prove whether at this moment we are sleeping, and all our thoughts are a dream; or whether we are awake, and talking to one another in the waking state?" -Plato
These are the best videos I have ever seen about lucid dreaming. Toimorrow I will begin writing my dream journal. Thanks for your awesome videos, you helped a lot!
@firepouya weed is a drug, i don't think it will help your dreams. I have heard it's pretty bad for dreaming, like alcohol. I have heard about "dream herbs" which do help, but i have never tried any of those so i can't really say anything about those.
@Th3D4nny well I don't think our mother earth would ever give us weed as a drug. However nobody can say in by fact that weed is a drug. It all depends how a person wants to define it. I most of the time dream clear if I smoke but when I used to drink weekends I never had any dream or I couldnt even remember what I had seen. This is my experience.
@Th3D4nny Weed is not a drug, you aren`t in the right mindset if you think that, who has categorized it as a drug?
Governments have, im sorry but I refuse to admit that a plant which grows naturally in the ground can be criminalized and you are quite close minded if you believe that. Weed has been used for thousands of years and is not even harmful, whereas alcohol kills thousands of people every year yet the government says its legal, so now, what does that say about the government?
@RippedJolt In the rigth mindset for what? and yes i am very close minded for thinking that weed is a drug. and you are NOT close minded for labeling me "close minded' while you don't know me. weed is not chriminalized where i live =). I actaully think Weed should also be legalized in America. I dont feel like getting into an argument here, you know what they say about winning an argument on the internet ;-)
i can't lay back and close my eyes in the morning, i will just fall asleep!:S i really have a problem... when i wake up i am allways so tired the thought of getting up is killing me and when i finally do get up i can't lay down, not for 10 seconds, cause i will fall asleep and be late for school!i know i should go to bed earlier, i just hate missing out on stuff! but then again, i probably have missed out on a lot of awsome dreams... and schoolclasses when i've been so tired i can't concentrate
hey whats up? Sounds very cool the thing of lucid dreaming, just wanted to know If when you wake up next morning you feel tired or with headaches or sth like that... just wanted to make sure, would be a pain in the ass if u feel stupidly tired next day...! Please let me know, thanks dude, appreaciate ur videos
i don't really remember my dreams at all. i mean, if i even have any, i don't remember even having them. My days just go from falling asleep straight into waking up. maybe its because i go to bed too late and get up too early. i usually fall asleep around 11 and wake up around 5:45 ish. i don't drink or smoke or anything so thats not it. but what can i do to make me start dreaming again? i probably have like only 1 dream every 2 or 3 months right now.
@reyago159 For me It took 19 days to enduce lucidity. But then I lost it again and I haven't got It back yet. But I'm not gonna give up cuz I know Ican do it
Great stuff dude, very inspiring. I used to have good dream recall and kept a journal but never managed a lucid dream. I going to restart the process tonight and work on it.
dont go to bed on caffene it dosnt help believe me im trying to kick caffene for the second time and its so hard my dreams right now are crazy and most i cant remimber
thanks, this did help a lot. well obviously I don't know yet because I'm going to go ahead and try tonight, but thanks, it was very helpful to get started :)
Wow.. that fragment bit is so right. Whenever I have dreams, and wake up WANTING to remember them, I can't... but sometimes they come back, I'll remember one piece then the rest will fall into place. Woo, at least I have a bit to work on now.
Almost every short story I've ever written happened in a dream of mine. Seven Cursed Days, Death Stone, Boom-My Luck, etc.
MCtheGirL (dot) com / stories ...
Lucid Dreaming is wonderful when coming up with a new web site design, painting(like you said), thinking up a new video game, program, story, or even re-designing my office(again) lol
i started lucid dreaming yesterday i can not control them yet but i have one dream in my book its were i join the mafia by accident the whole thing was random but it was fun thank for getting me into lucid dreaming.
@laxn03 i think it's easier to actually read through it in a text format, but whatever works best for you i guess. You would have to go through each saved recording though which could be kind of a pain, rather than just skim read through a journal :l
I think I had a level 0 dream this morning, The dream was a lot longer then usual and a lot more vivid. I was searching through my grandparents house looking for an indescribable object and people i didnt know were trying to stop me, for each room there were different people and I told each person they didnt exist and they dissapeared! How was I not lucid!? bah I'll try again tonight i guess
@somebodysendme , this isnt meant to be a complaint by any means, It was just interesting to me, really shows that the logical part of your brain isnt turned on
thanks for the explanations I had some random experiences that I did remember and at the same time a friend had a lucid dream to so we could open talk about it but now i'd like to train it so thanks for the hint of how to train it I will try. at least for the next 2/3 months if there happens nothing I'll see what to do next.
@EXTORTIONIST323 Sorry but im all very new to this. But is it becuase you get a bit scared/frightened when you realize your lucid dreaming? Just a thought...
ive noticed that, when i have ever gone to sleep high, i would always feel very refreshed when i awoke, but like you said the dream recall was very vague, but i always had a feeling that dreamt good
let him do what he wants i dont realy like long hair like that either but wtf your thinking like hitler wanting everyone to be like you want thats fucked up
I once had a dream i remembered. Just a bit. then i pieced together a lot more. I woke up and as i got up and got ready for school, i pieced together the rest, in incredible detail. I cant wait to get started.
I will rememeber my dream... I will remember my dreams... (next morning) GOD DAMNIT WTF DID I DREAM ABOUT!!! :( I'm a begginner btw haha... months?? MONTHS?? ouuch. I was hoping it was going to take less but what ever I'll do what ever ot takes to have this wonderful skill :3
im very busy in the mornings so i wont be able to have a dream journal easily.. will it do if i just practice Reality checks often??(like every 1-2 hour)
Good techniques. Looking at your hands makes sense. I haven't had a real lucid dream in about a year now. I do recall spinning, at one point, when I realized I was losing the dream-state. That was long ago though. You seem to know your stuff. Hopefully your techniques will help me get back into that wonderous dream world. Can't wait to put them into practice. Thanks again for the advice.
Anyone have a situation when your lucid dreaming and your mind just messes everything up just as it's beautiful :P In the middle of this epic story line and the next thing I know I'm being asked by my friend if he can borrow my sweater :P I seriously yelled the f word as loud as I could in the dream and somehow my friend managed to say sooo that means no?? Lol
I have been taking a natural sleeping aid called melatonin for the past 3 weeks, and one of the side affects is more vivid dreams. since the dreams are allot more vivid, it is easier to recognize you are dreaming because the strange things that happen become more obvious to you. my first lucid dream was about two weeks ago, and i wasnt even trying to do it. unfortunately it didnt last long, but i was flying around for about 5 minutes, or what felt like 5 minutes.
i have been cutting down my consumption of bud and other stuff for the last year or so. an funnily enough stumbled upon lucid dreaming without reading up on it, it just happened and i was able 2 notice it. this may be a pattern for people who cut out cainig vast amounts of dope every day. however shroom season is well under way atm, so cuttin down has been put off a few weeks
I once had a dream i was at gym class, waiting for my teacher to tell us what to do, i was sitting on the bench, and i just colapsed on the floor and started to sleep, in my dream. so the rest of the night, all i heard was ppl yelling and playing dodgeball, but it was black cause my eyes were closed.
Very interesting topic, i never heard about lucid dreaming before, please don't laugh. I decided to research the topic and I find it fascinating, it turn out that I am a natural, I experienced lucid dreaming without realizing it. I need to learn how to control it and explore more possibilities . Thanks for sharing.
I have a question. I can't go to sleep without having something going on in the background so I sleep with a tv on. I also play my Nintendo DS sometimes while laying there which really helps me to fall asleep. I'm wondering if these things will disrupt me from controlling my dreams or even having dreams. I simply can't get to sleep without these things. I have recalled many dreams in the past and none seemed to be affected by the games I play on my DS or the shows that were on.
this will be great to do over the summer...but i cant do this shit during school cus everyday im almost late and i gotta rush through the morning routine..ahaha!!
It seems like every time I wake up from a dream, I forget it. But afterward when I lay back and try to remember and say "what just happened?" almost every time I remember my dream. :)
So LD is a dedication. It takes work. Note: This video is in 3 parts. The first has 124,500 views. The second, 41,500. This one, 27,500. So if we made it this far does it mean we are more dedicated and apt to challenge ourselves to keep up the work? I believe so. Just like I BELIEVE I will remember my dreams tonight! Woo!
I don't know if this just happens to me, but I'll have like 3 dreams a night that I remember, and in some ocassions I will be sitting some where normal, like class, and I'll randomly remember another dream.
God, this is the greatest thing ever. I'm seriously baffled from the power of mind- how we can control so much, but we never actually cared enough to do it, so we think we can't. One thing is for sure, you just got a new regular viewer for your amazing videos, Reece :)
i usually remember a few dreams a night, and the going to sleep a few hours then waking up then going back to bed technique, helps me remember my dreams tremendously . Still no lucid dreams though.

@flixltp I haven't became lucid yet, but I have been in a 'layer 0' lucid dream.

Wow.. that fragment bit is so right. Whenever I have dreams, and wake up WANTING to remember them, I can't... but sometimes they come back, I'll remember one piece then the rest will fall into place. Woo, at least I have a bit to work on now.

i have a question, can i use the voice memo thing on the ipod touch, or do i need to actually write it down in a journal?
laxn03 1 year ago
@laxn03 i think it's easier to actually read through it in a text format, but whatever works best for you i guess. You would have to go through each saved recording though which could be kind of a pain, rather than just skim read through a journal :l

Do totems help. If you create a totem in the real world will it help you in the dream world to realize your dreaming
Mozinwrath 1 year ago
@Mozinwrath a reality check such as checking the time or looking at your hands serves the same purpose, in a way those are totems themselves.
