@BoyishlyCuteBritYank I remember the feeling I got the first time I heard that song, especially those choppers coming in. This song spells it all out, but you had to be there to understand. I was proud to serve with the marines in Nam, but I wish it never happened.
I rarely watch this type of video, preferring to leave my memories of that time lost in the corners of my mind. But something egged at me to watch this one. I can't begin to explain why, but I knew I had to watch it. Not far into this clip, I was shocked at seeing myself and my old squad. It hurt, flooding me with emotions and pain I hadn't felt in years. And the sweet memory of brothers, all gone now but for me.
Thanks for posting this. Semper Fi, my brothers, and rest in peace.
CherokeeParts1, My fiance's father was in nam in the marine corp. gratefully he made it back from nam but only to find out years later he had cancer due to agent orange, he lost his fight in 1997 when my fiance was 17. My fiance is wanting to find people that my have known his father or served with him. He wants to know more about his father. His fathers name was Wade Jackson Williams, if by chance you knew him please let me know. Thank you and God bless.
People please don't argue the Vietnam War or if we should have been there. The fact is we were and many Americans died. I was in the USMC for 5 years and a SGT. Until you have worn a uniform, held the hand and looked into the eyes of a person whos life is leaving their eyes and watched as the took in the last breath of air, do not minimize anyones death or sacrafice for others no matter what the cause.
I would like you and all other people who read this to know that all though you may feel this way and whether or not that is true, I will not stand for fighting on my video. I am trying to head off any arguments that may start from this. Please to not argue on my video's comments or I will stop all comments.

Yes, Personally I agree that the Polititians and so-called Profiteers,( Rockefeller for one ) are without a doubt, the fecal-matter of the Earth. Anyone who has been to Nam will recognize the sound of those rotors. That is definately a Huey (UH 1). I will always remember that sound. The Huey was used for Medevac, Troop Transport, and Gunships to escort the Transport choppers. I don't believe the Comanche was around during the war.
As I stated before, That story about returning Nam Vets being spit on is highly exagerated. I remember hearing only one news story of that happening.
