  • I love "character pieces" as well, the two poems you mentioned are two of my favorites. This was really an amazing, stereotype-shatterer of a poem and the way you read it really strikes a huge chord. That last line was amazing. These sort of pieces can be quite difficult because as you said listeners tend to equate the narrator with the writer. Very accomplished, I'm off to listen to more of your poems
