My God! This is the fastest I've ever heard this played! I must admit it's quite exhilarating, better than the average performance, but I prefer it taken at a funereal pace.
WOW, dude has skills with the organ. I like it fast like this AND slow. It seems when people play it fast it shows off THEIR skills, playing it slow shows off the organ.

I love that tempo, especially on that organ. The very fact you alone register the console with the many Pédale de combinaison and keep the tempo going is excellent.
Now I want to play this instrument. I love playing on Cavaillé-Coll instruments but after hearing this, now also Merklin! I must get more info on this instrument.
Very nice playing, but too fast! I don't want to be negative but this was definately not Widors intention for this piece, and suffers for it IMO. Once again only my opinion and I do not wish to be negative! Also an organist way out of my league so Im not really fit to complain!
Truly this man's music is Fireworks. One of the best organists on Youtube for sure. Please keep the fireworks coming as grand as they are. Merry Christmas to all

stupid noobs there is a 32' Bombarde-Ophiclaide-Posuane-Serpent-Sordun-Kontrafagott-Dulzian-Tuba Profunda-called as you want
maestro543 2 years ago
That Contre Bombarde 32' compares in power to the famous Cavaille-Coll Bombardes of St Ouen de Rouen!
octavegeigen4 2 years ago
I don't hear a 32 Bombarde!?
i happen to know that this organ don't even have a 32', only a Basse 10 2/3 sounding like a 32'!
tjugofyra 2 years ago
a quint that sounds in unison with 16' and 8' reeds? Interesting..!
GJmusique 2 years ago
Is a "Basse" a reed?
No, i didn't think so!
Of course it's not...
This organ does not have any real 32´just a Basse 10 2/3 imitating a 32 Basse which is a flue stop.
tjugofyra 2 years ago
There is not 32' in this organ.

Well that is the way many of the great compsers wrote thier pieces. Toccatas are mostly fast pieces of music. And also they are pretty loud too.
