  • As a kid i hated this ship I was happy to see it blow up.

  • I wonder what the specs are for the NCC 1701-J

  • after watching the vid of the Masters Replica of the original Enterprise this looks like a toy.

Still you put a lot of work into this and I do acknowledge that, its just that Masters replica was so realistic looking.

  • that ship is the luckiest ship ever it was like every other episode that it had a core breach and yet they got it resolved that it until the movie generations came out

  • if u think the saucers on this one and the sov are big wait till u see on STBC a fan made version (aka The NCC1701 Eclipse class) anyways im gonna agree they did quite a good job on the D

  • I see it's the Space Talk version. At first, I was compelled to get it...but my excitement waned when I discovered that the voices were of no one from the actual series, not even the computer which was voiced by Majel Barrett.

I still regret selling my original Playmates one, because the reason I sold it was because I wanted to get the Art Asylum Enterprise-E which is a piece of junk as far as the electronics are concerned, and the Art Asylum Enterprise-D now fetches over 100 dollars on ebay!

  • The Enterprise NCC 1701E is the biggest

  • @hsharrott enterprise D is bigger. enterprise E is longer than D. Enterprise D have 42 Decks and E have 24. E have stronger wheapons than D.

    greetings from germany

  • @hsharrott The Enterprise E is the longest. The Enterprise D is actually the biggest.

  • How do photon torpedoes fail?

I have a version that has no stand and just does photon torpedo, phaser blast, warp jump, and cruse.

  • great review on the space talk enterprise d and the enterprise a would have been about the size of one the nacells

  • where can i buy that?

  • Acually the Sovereign is longer and the Galaxy is taller to together there the biggest ships in the Fed

  • Looks neat but the computer sound is not accurate.

  • You're making believe that you're not sure of your facts very well for someone who bought a small scale...

  • For lengh I think the original Enterprise is about 50% of the lengh of the Galaxy Classes Scaucer section. The Galaxy class is a hell of alot bigger. The Defiant class was about the half the lengh of the Galaxy's Nacelles if not smaller.

  • this one i loved too much taking apart and putting back together and my mom got mad and broke the diecast one i was all sad and she said it was hers so its all good but for me its something i liked to play with and yea its gone .T.T

  • I actually have mine from 17 years ago!

  • art asylum is way better

  • Agreed on that one @ZTrojan11 !!

  • I think Art-Asylum does a better job.

  • Its funny how everyone is failing....

  • I thought the enterprise C was little bigger than the D. It kind of looked like that on '' Yesterdays Enterprise"

  • I had one of those.

  • Funny. For Picard's, all it says is, "FAILING".

Sorry, but I am a Kirk fan.

The Constitution and Constitution Refit are my favorite. Then the excelsior class.

  • it is Galaxy class. I thought the Sovereign class was larger although it did not look it in the movies.

  • It was longer than the galaxy but it was not as tall only had 24-29 decks where as the galaxy had 42 and it wasnt as wide

  • There are actually 3 (I think) versions of the Enterprise-D from Playmates - there's the regular, which was released in '92 that has 4 different sounds AND light-up nacelles, the one you have, which is called "Space Talk," which is in essence the same exact thing molded in a different color with most of the electronic components gutted and 3 buttons glued down, and there's the one from Generations that depicts the Enterprise with battle damage. I've owned the first 2, but not the last...

  • I have that SAME ship

  • acctulle the enterprise ncc-1701 has 40 deks and the d has 39

  • No the D had 42.

  • the back of the connection between the 2 hulls doesnt look accurate

  • the original one is the best version

  • I have the playmates Enterprise but it dosn't talk.

    what gives?

  • There were two versions. One has the four sound effects. The other has the multi-computer voice one.

  • Actual lengths

    NX class NX-01 = 225m

    Constitution class NCC-1701 = 289m

    Constitution class (refit) NCC-1701-A = 305m

    Excelsior class (upgrade) NCC-1701-B = 467m

    Ambassador class NCC-1701-C = 526m

    Galaxy class NCC-1701-D = 641m

    Sovereign class NCC-1701-E = 685m

    Constitution class (alternate timeline) NCC-1701 = 750m

  • here are the specs

constitution class: 289m long 30 decks

constitution refit: 305m long 34 decks

    Excelsior class: length:unknown 34

    decks

Ambassador class: 526m long unknown number of decks

Galaxy class: 750m long 42 decks

Sovereign class: 685m long 29 decks

  • i have this one i hated how the lights didnt work

  • I don't wanna geek out too much, but the dimensions of the E don't matter AT ALL, because it is only seen in movies, and in those movies, the directors chose to ignore the dimensions for dramatic effect.

The design of the E is outstanding, but it has many visual elements that "trick" you into thinking it is much larger than the dimensions specify, and the movie directors took that to heart.

  • lol i belive there is a particular version of this ship were the lights actualy work when u switch em on in the darrk lol called the polar lights version lol

  • Sounds like the Enterprise D. It seems like crucial stuff was always failing at the wrong time. Scotty could get the first Enterprise out of a jam with nothing but chewing gum and bailing wire.

  • ...why in God's name would you want that bucket of bolts!

  • XD hahah i remember scotty saying exactly the same thing b4 the end of voyage homes lol about the excelsior XD lol and kirks like a ship is a ship XD.

  • is the soverign class bigger or is the Galaxy class?

  • Soverign class is longer, but the Enterprise D is wider and taller.

Enterprise D: 642 meters long and 467 meters wide.

Enterprise E: 674 meters long and 240 meters wide.

Sovy has 24 decks (give or take a few), the Enterprise D has 42 decks.

  • If you plan on getting this enterprise, get the other playmates one. MUCH better, it lights up and has better sounds but doesn't have a stand.

  • Did you ever order your DST Enterprise D? I've ordered both the original and AGT exclusive, can't bloody wait to receive it!

  • woah, I had one of those, but..why is it playing different sounds?

  • 641 meters. Galaxy Class Enterprise 1701-D built at Utopia Planitia fleet yards orbiting Mars. Launched in 2364 under th e command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Destroyed in 2371 at planet Veridian III.

  • retro38,

    Wow, what a nerd lmao

  • hope that was meant nicely..... I do know my star trek very well after 32 years I should.

  • All the systems are failing. lol

Seems to be how the series rolled often.

  • Oh you will want DST's Enterprise-D after you see the video i posted.

Look Up: DST Enterprise-D Teaser ewtng

  • its bigger thats what she said

  • the one from art asylum looks huge

  • I heard Art Asylum's 1701-D will be out soon.

  • Sweet. Can you send me the URL?

  • My dad had that ship, gave it to me along with e, yes!

  • I would hate to be on that ship

  • I had this toy and still due unfortunately its all busted and the detatchable warp engines are busted! I had it as a kid. And yes, the Enterprise D is the largest of all the ships... Definitely the class: Galaxy class.

  • I'm not a Trekkie, but I've enjoyed the series. Seeing this video inspires me to suggest contact with Lazarus Lighting, in Burbank, CA or online for fiber optics and collumators, to construct a half-sphere or 3/4-sphere background to display the craft in a star field surround. I think the visual effect would be awesome!

  • One seven ZERO one if you really want to pronounce it correctly.

  • Nice reviews! Lookin' forward to more.

I'm glad you showed the Playmates model, I was afraid you would show the Art Asylum one and I would then find some reason to be discontent with my D haha(only one i have, got it when i was 7).

Out of curiosity, do you plan on ever getting some of the Bandai models? I'm interested in seeing how they stack up. I'm a broke college student, so I can't afford to compare them all myself ;)

  • Galaxy Class Starships Length:642.51 meters Width:463.73 meters Height:195.26 meters Mass:4,500,000 metric tons Constitution Class Starships Length:305 meters Width:144 meters Height:75 meters Mass:620,000 metric tons Also. The Sovereign class was the most technologically advance class in the Federation. Its more a of battleship then a explorer like the Galaxy
  • Aha, but do you have the exact circumference of the warp nacelles? Hmm? How about that?

  • The new movies Constitution is bigger than a galaxy lol

  • what makes you think that

  • The official Statistics of the ship. They are bigger than the Galaxy.

  • The Sovereign class (Enterprise E) is bigger than the Galaxy class (version D), but has fewer decks because it was built for battle, specifically to fight the Borg. Its hull had more reinforcement, it is a double-hulled craft. That doesn't always mean success. You could ask anyone from the Kursk, if anyone had survived its implosion from an accidental torpedo explosion. I understand that a dozen of them did manage to live for another 18 hours until they ran out of air and froze to death.

  • ive got this but the the sounds have broken

  • I got this one too!! but no colours....

  • I must have an older version of the Ent-D it just has sound effects of warp, impulse, photon torp, and phasers. The sounds on this one suck! *blank* failing and they don't even try to get an imitation Michael Dorn to do the voice.

  • nice sound effects, the ship keeps breaking down and getting attacked :p

  • Great Review! Keep up the great reviews!!!

  • ENTERPRISE-D was 641 meters long

    ENTERPRISE-E was 685 meters long

    ENTERPRISE-A was 305 meters long

    ENTERPRISE-C was 536 meters long

    ENTERPRISE-B was 470 meters long

    ENTERPRISE-J was 964 meters long

    ENTERPRISE-G was 621 meters long

    ENTERPRISE-F was 692 meters long

    ENTERPRISE-I was 683 meters long

    ENTERPRISE-NX01 is 85 meters long

  • wow! what a bamf

  • Actually, the Enterprise E without its stupidly swept back nacelles is only 500 meters long. The Galaxy class however is actually 640 meters. The Galaxy class is simply superior to the Sovereign in every way, more efficient for the volume obtained (3 times the volume of the Sovereign class), more upgradable, simply a superior design. The way they destroyed the Enterprise D was complete bull s**t, and I think that most fans of star trek hate the comic like writers of Generations.

  • Good job putting them in order.

  • When you do get the DST, PLEASE do a review immediately! I would be forever in your debt, as I want to watch reviews before spending money I don't have and shouldn't spend, which I will probably do anyway. The computer does all the voices in the Space Talk version from Playmates, though it does have the phaser and a couple of alarms sounds. That's a nice ship, but I wish it had lights. I want one.

  • i have the same one and its alright the detailing is great but was bummed about there being no lights what so ever but i figured it was due to the mettle peices missing from the naccels so i tried it with the series version of the D and still nada lol

  • this was the second version. i have version one. yes its much more detailed. it only has 4 sounds. i bought mine new . i believe mine was done in 89 or 91. ill have to look at that, there have been 3 versions of this ship.. thats version 2. the 3rd was a battle damaged ship from the generations movie with a shuttle craft if i remember right.

  • hey, i also have the first version of this, it was made in 92. i did a review of mine a couple days ago

  • i got 2 for the V 1 Ent D's and 1 of the V 2 Ent D

  • Ah, yeah, that's the Space Talk one...the first version just had impulse drive, warp, phaser and photorp sound effects.

Space Talk doesn't have Picard, no.

If the electronics didn't work, you could tell it was the ST version because of the dark color around the captain's yacht (on the bottom of the saucer section).

Classes....I'll do that in a reply on the scale comment.

  • cool as all ways

  • This is my favorite Enterprise I wish the sound effects had more than FAIL Lol! Great job Mr. Mike!

  • nice

  • Great Star Trek review, Mike!

  • this enterprise is my favorite out of all of them same goes for the show i love the whole separate the ship thing the toy i had way back when did separate does this one? while i blew up my ships i did keep my triquater and phaser

  • Great review nightslash2020 I look forward to the next one! I know the D was far larger with several more decks to it. It is a Galaxy class by the way. If you are interested the last two you reviewed were constitution class the A was simply a modified version. The E for your next review would be a sovriegn class.

  • I feel like an idiot when I watch your Star Trek videos, look down in the comments, and see all the names of the ships that boggle my mind. Great review Mike!!

  • art asylum does them much better(sound AND lights). do you know if they made a reliant? do you have the japanese micro machines style ships? great vid as always!!!

  • Then again...Art Asylum is for collectors' and was made in 2008.

Playmates? Made for kids and in 1993!

I think they did a fantastic job.

  • you plan on doing nx-01 or defiant?

  • i will do the nx-01, but i dont have the defiant

  • Defiant is my fave,GET IT O_O

  • lol i actualy heard that theres a bunch of better versions of ships like this called the polar lights version lol.

  • The Ent-D was 641 meters long. TOS Enterprise was 289, movies was 305 meters.

  • thank you for that, seriously.

  • Also...

TOS Enterprise was a Constitution class.

Movie Era Enterprises were Constitution refits.

    -B was Excelsior.

    -C was Ambassador.

    -D was Galaxy.

    -E was Sovereign.

  • "Everything's failing....apparently". LOL

    I'll stick with Enterprise A.

    Great review!

  • Comment removed

  • gona sell it?

  • um...nope
