Very helpful... I'm not a professional photographer or a photo major, but I switched to Aperture a few months ago because I wanted the upgraded editing capabilities from iphoto. It's pretty sweet, but I find it takes way more time to do anything just because it adds so much complexity to the editing and organization process, especially when you use it in tandem with Photoshop.
Been trying to find some videos about the basic differences and someone who could explain it and do it well. I have to look no further. This was very helpful and have added it to favorites and just want to say thanks for helping out.
That's what most will do. I myself (Gerry) know a few who stick with just Lightroom and no Photoshop, as the just don't need it, but when it boils down to it really it's a matter of personal preference.
I'm bought a Canon 500D a couple months ago and i love to take really cool pictures with it. And now I wanna start Photoshop these pictures. I'm still a beginner and I have no clue about which program or software I should buy, I don't know how to use any of those you mentioned in this video. What do you recommend for someone like me. Thanks a lot :)
I found that aperture is a lot slower to render filters and other effects, were Lightroom is super fast. I use Photoshop very rarely.

I like when aperture and stuff does things like putting watermarks to 200 images all at once.

Personally as a serious ammeter photographer I use aperture to manage my photos, and do basic editing. Then Photoshop cs4 for more advanced editing.
