Honestly: I dont get why Toyota is so popular. They build shit cars, which are unsafe, dont look good (subjective of course) and are not even cheap. Like here in Indonesia they are by far the most popular brand, but the cars (e.g. Avanza) drive like bathtubs with wheels, engines are a mess and the cars dont even have ABS (yea you read right!). Not to mention, no airbags or ESP. Piece of shit, that is what they sell.

I know what they are selling elsewhere, as I moved from Germany to Indonesia. 90% of what they sell is shit like I mentioned, even a big proportion is based on the Hilux platform, which is quite scary having this video in mind. They also sell the Camry and Corolla Altis here, which are not bad, but there are far superior cars. The Camry costs 60000$ here. I would damn sure buy a Jaguar XF, BMW 5 or Mercedes E-Class for the same money...fuck Toyota

A. The tyre pressure is wrong for open road driving. B. If you come across a Moose the average persons response is negligible . C. The driver in the test already had the cones organised and knew what was in front of him so it was not a surprise. D. if you expect a high COG type vehicle to handle like a Lamboghini you are either a woman shopping or a complete knob end. Get a mountain bike and I guarantee a positive result from your Moose test.

About 10 years ago one of my uncles totaled his Ford Ranger when a moose jumped out in front of him. He hit nothing but the moose and it totaled his truck! Plus, moose often go through the windshield as well, which almost always injures or kills the driver. Just look up moose wrecks on google images. You will be surprised.

Toyotas are some of the best made vehicles on the road, over engineered for strength and longevity, there were a few sticky accelerators a few years back, and half of those problems were found to be driver error! Ha, Subaru's are pretty shitty from my experience, after usually 140,000kms in my experience they suffer catastrophic failures to engine and drivetrain components, not to mention being a pain in the ass to tune! Toyota anyday over a Subaru!!!

@Terminxman i would love to know how a jammed accelerator cant cause deaths cause i know it does so think of yourself in the highway for example and you have to make an emergency brake and then u find out that the throttle is jammed that is dangerous it just is and hiluxes have serious stability problems (every single generation does) and there are cars just as tough and reliable but that are save, comfortable and nice to drive ( such as a VW Amarok or a Dogde RAM) hilux really sucks

The centre of gravity is high and these vehicles are tall, which make it even worse.

You must be careful with any of this tall vehicles.

Remember: heavy and/or tall and/or high centre of gravity => bad handling and stability.

Supercars? Light, low/small, low centre of gravity => very good handling and stability.
