Actually, it's more like 3/4 or 5/6 or 7/8 of a national championship. I think the only poll to vote for Miami as national champion in 1991 was the AP. Every other poll that dealt with college football voted for the Huskies as the national champion in 1991. And with good reason!
Exactly, I was six years old back then and as much a football and sports fan as I am today. Even then watching the Huskies play I knew that team was something special; hopefully Steve Sarkisian will get them back to prominence soon.

At least back in those days their uniforms actually incorporated the school colors. In truth, though, the Ducks really weren't very good back in those days and there's good reason why the Ducks beat the Dawgs only 2 or 3 times during Don James' entire time (18 years) as Husky coach. 'Cause the Huskies were generally better, year-in and year-out back in those days.
Back when Oregon had good uniforms and not 25 different ugly versions.
