  • good to see some oldsters still on the mat,,, but god damn this tech sucks.

  • What's the use of the move at 0:23?

  • @MasterNinja1990 i know 7, im fluent in 2 of them? Lol your the failure with the name of master ninja, at least im no poser, if u were a master ninja u wouldnt even have a youtube account.

  • And why is that. This is not acient Japan, this is 2011! We dont kill people any longer so there is no need to hide any more.

  • @MasterNinja1990 Hey, you are not a Ninja =) im sorry you watch too much anime

  • expertvillage never have experts :/

  • you still would have gotten hit in the face....in a real fight that is....go learn some muay thai ya geezer

  • @aerial3800 well in muay thai you will takes hits too . btw il break your arm you hit my face i wonder how fight is gone continu after your arm is broken

  • @andyakechi you could try =) your success is not assured and most likely not a probability

  • its great to see these old guys still doing this stuff, great way to keep fit

  • keep on pressing 4 and hes giving him a handjob

  • if u keep pressing three, than u can make a song

  • Southern Samurai's

  • lol if you guys keep on pressing 2 it looks like they are dancing x)

  • respect for sensi

  • probably still get punched by the left hand if it was in motion.

  • @muffinman1 you are so corect!

  • remind me not to mug them old geezers

  • Americana key lock is better..

  • Your power is no match for Tony G!

  • sorry 0:48 shows it better

  • haha dont do this u'll get cracked in the face! check out 0:49, wide open 2 a left straight lol, as long as ol mate throwin th punch was decently fast...

  • @Chillbot2011 Not necessarily. This could break the arm. Even applying the pressure to it, will cause pain. All the other guy will feel is pain. That is what he is going to be worried about the most. And if do it in the means of self defense, you're trying to break his arm. He'll drop, I know, I've done this before.

  • watch your mouth navoJOvan

  • Thank's

  • JUDO SHIT!!

  • Baltimore Judo?

  • Hmm I never learned this at Judo, I did Judo for 10 years

  • tnx for the lesson sensei

now i would be able to give my girlfriend's

new boyfriend an extreme lesson he would never

    forget xDDDDD

  • Why are they like 90???

  • @DismemBERment98 they can probably kick your ass though xD

  • Thanks, great technique

  • But wouldn't his other hand be free to "hit you in the face"? Since both of your hands are used up doing the Ude Garami...

  • @timsss128 but unless they have exsperince, they would probley go to relase their arm instead of a punch

  • Anderson Sensei (8th dan) is supreme! Thanks for all you continue to do for Kodokan Judo and of course Shufu!

  • your welcome :)

  • killer old guys

  • @enkhbattsenguun

    Hahahaha for sure!

    :D

  • i learn judo for my self defence

  • might as well break your bones, old man...

  • those two are going to die of a heart attack at the end of this video.!

  • 5* for the noise at 0:52

  • @osotogari786

    AHAHAHAH

  • this dude is my new best friend

  • Its not suposed to break out of this technique. Its meant to be done in one instant.

  • thanks for teaching us those cool tactics! I'm gna try and use those techniques during my judo lesson. Thanks so much!

  • it looks like that the guy in the left can breake out by pulling his hand out

  • @rahulde78 he's attacking.. his focus would not be on breaking out of anything.. the move is done as a COUNTER to an attack. if you tried to attack with this move yes it could be countered but as a counter.. very effective..

  • i think that if you figure-4'ed your two hands/forearms together on this technique (effectively making like a mini-Americana) you would reduce chances of escape. either way, this is a cool little trick. I'm gonna try it out in jiu-jitsu when we're working for grip battles and someone grabs my collar. I'll see how it works in application.

  • YESSSSS I GOT MY GREEN BELT

  • i think that black belt is getting a little tight on the left guy.

  • bad ass..im doin that at practice in an hour

  • this doesn't look like it can be executed fast enough before you get hit the face....hmmmmm

  • lol i bet that guy could beat a 30 year old man

  • It still uses momentum tough. By using the opponent's elbow as an anchor-point, there is a creation of substantial force momentum by the executer. It then becomes much easier to bend down the oponnent's arm.

  • the only problem with this (goes to taekwondo and karate as well) is that the self defense they teach is only effective when your opponent is in a specific stance. And lets face it, your enemy won't agree to "hey could you put your left leg out instead of your right so I can trip you and pin you down to the ground?"

  • @TheJzai that's not totally true there are throws in judo that you can perform in multiple situations even without a GI on you just have to practice the practical stuff the most and then it's when it becomes useful outside of class

  • @xvegeta13 Ahh I see, I do, well used to do taekwondo but no judo, so I wouldn't know. That seems better than taekwondo then!

  • @TheJzai Techniques in martial arts are all situational. If there's a different situation then you defend with a different more aplicable technique; it's basic logic. Don't try to fit a square peg in a round hole.

The more practiced you are the more capable of knowing which technique to use and in which stuation.

  • @TheRealParagon i know, but everything i learned in taekwondo won't work unless the guy has his left foot in front. xD

  • that guy got through 7 old peoples arms before they got an opponent with strong enough bones

  • Just for you people having a cry about it not being any good for fighting in the street, it's probably not the best choice but as I see it judo is about self control and it is a very practical fighting style in the street if pulled of correctly it should be used to immobilize the opponent

  • lol dis wont rele help wen u have a guy rushin at u.

  • the senior citizen judo club!!!!!!

  • My gramps was a knife instructor in the army, he said this technique is similar to the ones they use to disarm people.

  • holly molly. grandpa know how to kick ass!

  • Very nice. Thank you.

  • He's still open to the left that'd knock him out.

  • @muaythairaja your fucking right! are you going the a punch or elbow to his temple?

  • @muaythairaja you can't punch him...i assure you the pain of getting ude garami on ur shoulder hurts so bad you can't even do nothing...

  • @muaythairaja sure he is.... good point ... BUT.... what if he has a good chin? is that knockout 100% ? not just gonna bloody him up? the question is do you have a good elbow and shoulder .... i can assure you the ude garami wont knock you out but will break your arm and put you in a cast for a year....

  • @ChrisMLeeByrne It's a 50-50, since he's in a way helping the other guy by giving him more momentum into his punch. I still wouldn't leave my face open in a street fight. The street is a different world from the dojo. 9 years in law enforcement has taught me that.

  • @muaythairaja 50 / 50 ?? hmmm ok ill give you that... and 50/50 is still better then 1/5 chance of k.o with that punch. and your right the street is much different but in law enforcement you can only detain and defend.... and as with over 9 years of violence and martial arts training i can assure you in the street its even more a reason to do more violent moves that end fights before someone can do there damage on you .. plus the situation we are talking about starts with a grab....

  • @ChrisMLeeByrne If a 80 kg thug with metal rings on his fingers takes a swing at u, he's got better odds to ko u than 1/5. Try 5/5. Ur chance of grabbing someone and pulling off that fancy move..0.Some moves only work in the dojo with dry cleaned pyjamas and compliant partners. In the street, when there's drugs, alcohol, adrenaline, stress, clothing like jackets etc in the mix, these micro managed moves dont work. In law enforcement u do what works, not just detain and defend. We justify it later

  • @muaythairaja ...100% chance of k.o?... apprently thugs with rings on there fingers throw better punches the pro boxers.... this move is not fancy btw...but i would take it over a punch if person is grabbing you and its definitly gonna do more damage then one punch ... fyi you just proved my point.... alcohol does not make a streetfighter..... and clothing like jackets just help judo moves..... your right alot of moves are only for the dojo... but this is for a violent armbreak..

  • @muaythairaja and you think rings increase a chance of k.o? id say they increase chance of stitches... remember we are talking about someone starting with a grab ...im not a fan of judo but this move is legit. and no offence being a cop doesnt mean you know how to fight.... ppl rarely fight back...most cops kno aikido wristlocks and pins...for somone not fighting back... the badge helps from that... althou cops see ALOT of violence, theres cops at my gym who started knowing nothing about 1on1

  • @ChrisMLeeByrne A punch to the temple with the momentum and angle the judo guy is set himself for will cause a hameorrage, with heavy rings blindness. Its from real world experience. There r cops who cant fight, there r soldiers who cant fight either, not their job profile. I see martial arts instructors & champions bashed to pulp by experienced street fighters. They decided to take on some punk and ended up at the station as assault victims. My message to them : leave the real fighting to us.

  • @muaythairaja then why you mention that you in law inforcement like its matters? lol..... then next breath say there aresome who cant fight..... now you saying a "hameorrage" like its 100% ...thats also is not for sure... and ofcourse anyone can get fucked up .... but i will always bet on the trained fighter... and ontop of that will always bet on whoever is willing to do the more violent move to finish the fight...

  • @ChrisMLeeByrne Of course it matters, it matters a lot more and is more practical than hopping in a dojo wearing pyjamas and claiming to be a "trained fighter". There are cops who do desk jobs, thats what I meant by some cops cant fight. But I'd put my money any day on one of our SWAT boys over Mr Miyagi in a real no holds barred street fight.

  • @muaythairaja ....lol that is a fair enough statement. but not all "trained fighters" wear pyjamas and are a mr miyagi... now you are choosing best of one world i.e a swat guy...(who are efficient gun fighters for most part) ... but what if i.e the "trained fighter" is someone with 4 years in jail,ex military or just mind state to do the most violent moves .... then train for one on one, hand vs hand combat? would you still choose a punch over a gaurenteed armbreak?

  • @muaythairaja we can go on forever lol.... the bottom line is the guy grabbing his jacket is not a trained fighter or swat guy ... cuz that is a terrible mistake in any situation .. you just lock up your own hand... when you could be using 2hands to punch...so if the person grabs his jacket.. and gets a armbreak.. that is a fight ender if you dont see that then you must be a "desk" cop :P but anyway nice chat cheers

  • @ChrisMLeeByrne For your info, SWAT are highly trained in practical hand to hand combat as well. As for me, I'm not a desk cop..not yet. I have grabbed without having my arms broken. An Osoto gari is a practical move and I've used it heaps of times in the street. The alleged arm breaker shown here is just a set up to get ko'ed. if you cant see that, you've obviously never been in a real fight...and I envy that, it means you live a privaleged life, good on you.

  • @muaythairaja lol...... sigh.... lol well at least thats 2 topics you have clearly shown you can judge without having any idea what your talking about bravo ... ... if only you knew

  • @ChrisMLeeByrne The man of mystery stuff..., its often what we get when we interview juvenile offenders, no offence.

  • @muaythairaja lol ....

  • hes a pro

  • i just did my first judo lesson today it rules so much fun

  • @BGainey100 Congradulations, you are probably pretty sore right now. Stick with it. Judo if fun!

  • Eepecially done with the kick ass move !!

  • I wanna master Judo

  • @haftir me toooooooo!

  • wow 6th dan i like judo but i study Traditional japanese jujutsu good luck to you getting 10th dan alot of hard work

  • now this can be done violently...but i wont do it violently :D

  • @garciag03 Lol I laughed at that too this guy is awesome.

  • @garciag03 haha ! :D i was laughing when he said this.. great humor!

  • if you know Judo .. you would know those sold called old guys would brake you in half .... take a Judo class and you will find out how tough these guys and Gals are ...its the toughest Martial Arts i have been involved in !!

  • well, it is not forbidden in many tournaments. Ever seen it is being used?

  • if youre fighting some1 who knows judo what should you do? use your distance? throw more kicks then punches? tips please

  • @babyfaceg127 Throw only punches, probably dont throw any kicks except lightnight fast legg kicks. Kicks are normally pretty easy to get a takedown off of. You want to do the opositve of get taken down.

  • lol

  • lol

  • There is no way you would have time to punch the opponent, let alone do enough damage. This arm lock is seriously painful and can tear the shoulder out of the socket.

  • thts stupid some could easily punch you in the back of the head if your doing the arm lock

  • maybe...but after that one punch you won't be able to use your other arm. And I know one punch to my face while doing that move won't phase me

  • buddy it's not being done violently my teacher Tigir did this too me and i was in too much pain to do anything it really twists and fucks up your arm trust me that guy would be done breaking your bones by the time you could even punch.

  • @dakillah2490 So what? Would you rather get punched in the head, or get your arm broken? No technique is flawless. Its a damage to damage ratio

  • i thought that you had to lie on the grond(math) before you are aloud to use any arm locks or chokes.. at least its like that in norway( shit contry when it comes to judo unfortsenetly).

  • In judo armlocks and chokes can legally be used in a standing position, but this is seldom effective in a contest or randori between experts, because they have too much freedom to evade the technique.

  • Hey please subscribe ill do the same

  • haha careful who choose to mug

  • Why and old unshaped guy? Why!

  • because he's got a really high dan

  • @ Leny1777: Because judo is said to be able to be done by anyone. It's not about your strength or your ability to overpower someone; you use your body weight and their attack's momentum to your advantage. This technique is less of an example of how to use momentum, but still..

  • judo is maximum efficency, minimum effort

  • @dragonx13x

lol "minimum effort" - i wouldn't say that :D xD

u must put a hell lot of effort in your trainings to achieve the efficiency

  • minimum effort in the actual throws and chokes, no fancy jumping around bullshit that tires you out and leaves you defenseless

  • @TheTopMostDog this is why i enjoy judo it is a math that i exceed in. Thats is Physics, power energy, momentum, and the chains that result of them.

  • @TheTopMostDog

u forgot to count in oponents weight and balance :)

  • Becouse he is no less that 7th dan, that's why!

  • @Leny1777 I was thinking the same thing man! Its always some old fat white dude.

  • You shoukd make a video then..You sound like your an expert

  • @ BostNGeorge thats not what I said is it.

I merely commented on the western steriotypical 'black belt' as being an older, larger, white bloke. Steven Seagal being one of them. (not saying he's a bad or poor fighter, but he fits the steriotype perfectly).

  • god ur dumn

  • dumb is spelled wrong...

  • these guys probobly learned this in korea or some shit badass

  • rascist bitch nejikusa

  • "Half the game of judo is mental; the other half is being mental." that was very helpfull thanks

  • excellent-also it does not matter about their age they are training for someone to use the movement and the instrutor will not be there with them-whitewolf

  • LMFAO

  • i like 0:25

  • thank you sensei John

  • one of these guys in gonna die of old age in the middle of the video.

  • @Myke626 stfu

  • ROFL at 0:24

  • that man has slick dancing moves :P

  • Is this judo? I mean do they teach this in judo or does this old man just think so?

  • i actually learned a throw in taekwondo that uses this same technique.... but once u twist the arm u grab his arm with your right hand and then sweep his leg like an asota gari.... but with his arm entangled it can be broken very easily so i never use it in judo cuz i dont want to hurt my sparring partners ;(

  • I knew the move, but can I use this in a judo match? I think it`s legal nd if so it could be an interesting surprise element.

  • @UmDiaEuFicoBom Standing chokeholds and armlocks are only allowed when uke doesn't move. So in theory it's allowed, in fact it's not hehe

    Good self-defense move though

  • Yeah, I dropped a guy on his head with basic 'Drop throw', and he didnt fight anymore to say the least.. im 5'7 and he was huge.!

  • yeah. i'm learning this cuz in wrestling i've beaten almost all my friends except for this guy who's like 6'3 and he's 15. i wanna drop him like he drops me.

  • lol killer old guys

  • @Mortos45 yeah you better recognize mother fucka they iz gangstas ;D

  • ,.,i can use this with the idiots in our street, tnx

  • esse cara ai faxa vermelha ai é mestre tanto que quem conhece judo sabe que pra ter a faixa vermelha precisa ralar muito ^^

  • Its good that they are learning judo, because you can fight a person with ought really hurting them, with ought using weapons, I think ever one should know some martial arts, just in case something happens and no one will get killed

  • thing is tho, if everyone learned martial arts there's bound to be some people who take advantage of that and hurt people

  • you can still kill a person with judo in a fight..learned my judo throught The Army Cadet Martial Arts Program and we learned also to kill people using it. oo and you can use judo while using a knife as well.

  • Simple and Sweet.

  • thats cool, imma try it on some1, j/k

  • im normaly one of those guys who like to punch and kick karate style, then i sparred a guy who knew judo, jui jitsu and akido....im switching to this lol

  • you should go with brazilian jujitsu then ul learn about sweeps from on your back and crazy submissions and chock holds

  • The technique is ok but I would be amazed to see it properly executed in a real punch up.

  • I did something like this in a real situation. Granted the confrontation was not actually in the punching phase yet, but in the pushing and yelling phase. Things calmed down quickly after that when it became apparent that picking on me would not be easy.

  • judo is cool ^_^ i wish my sensi adapted some moves from it lol

  • this is useless if that guy tryed that shit on me he would get a left hook to the dome.i guess it would be usefull if a one armed guy grabed your shirt....tho

  • i don't think u would be able to punch the guy, even if u did it would just glance off of him.

I don't think u would be worried about punching him wen u feel ur shoulder coming out of your socket. althought this guy does it pretty weak, you could easily get out of this. But against a good kimura ur not goin to be able to get out of it

  • kimora is the easest sum to reverse so i wouldent be to worried about that...the thing is the person trying to break joints with kimora might end up getting joints broke by the same kimora he's trying to pull off..sorry but it dosent matter how much you know.. anything can happen in a real fight..dont get me wrong as far as judo the guys got it and i would have no chance in a judo match but in a real fight anything can happen

  • kimura isn't easy to reverse at all if done properly. As far as i can tell this is a key lock, the idea of this move would be to get him to the ground, so u can finish with a submission

  • So how do you do it then mr miyagi?

  • these old guys rule, id hate to have to fight one, i bet he would kick my ass

  • nice technique!

  • these guys know what they're doing you pricks the reason they're not going full speed is cuz they're old

  • and holy shit they dnt have a clue when you clinch the bastads lol. very messy belive me i no... lol

  • Hahah this guy is a Shian(teacher of teachers) in Judo and u say he doesn't know his stuff?? This guys 12 times U.S national judo masters champion!!!

Back to watching UFC with you..

  • tbh the first thing sum punk ass idiot will try to do is punch you. grapple them and execute a choke and they really dont now wat to do. lol

  • yeah the first time my brother came back from the army he learned abunch of judo and stuff from one of his battle buddies and he dropped me in like 2 secs and i didnt even know what happened.. just felt me hit the floor lol

  • nobody needs me

  • I've learned Jiu Jitsu when I was younger 15 years ago, I'm actually purple -here we say "blue" instead- belt, and in Spain at least Jiu Jitsu and Judo are within the same national federation, called "FEJIDA", that's an abreviature for the spanish equivalent to "Judo and Associated Sports Spanish Federation".

Anyway, I think Tai Jitsu is basically the same than Jiu Jitsu, but in Spain it's within national karate federation instead of Judo.

  • Thats a good technique to get hit in the face, usually the grab and the punch come to close togheter there is not enough time

  • That's not true, indeed.

  • sure it is, when someone is going to hit you they dont grab and hit, they grab/hit sometimes they don even grab, im not saying the techniques is useless im saying that here is oversimplified

  • No, it isn't. In 99% of the cases, the enemy will first grab, and then hit. Just try to hit-and-grab at SAME time, I've never seen that.

I've seen may times a situation of one grabbing a jacket and charging punch without throwing it at all, just as a warning. It's pretty common, and this technique may simply end the fight even before the start.

  • well I have seen in many cases that when the person grabs the punch is already half way half way, it happens cause I hav done it. thats why in puerto rico the second someone tries to even grab u you just punch because many times the grabs r just for distraction, also look at 1:07 he should be grabing that wrist because the openent can easily straighten the arm n then there is no leverage anymore, giving enough time to punch. this tehcnique is only useful if the person is just grabing to threat u

  • im a 2nd degree black belt and im only 16! ive been judoing almost 13 years :)

  • If someone tries to hit you in the face I would suggest to first block the punch and then lock the arm.

  • i'm a greenbelt 3rd degree.

  • elbow lock
