  • TANG!!! fulfills both meanings

  • It's the same production team and several of the performers have been on both versions. Most of the games are the same. I guess our species' irrational need to polarize and pick apart any small difference to make them into huge ones comes through loud and clear in the comments section.

  • Uk verison was far better what be said be censored on Us broadcasr then UK would let go

  • uk version is boring. x_x Clive doesn't help at all.

  • the uk version has a more clever humor

  • @gohjy271 - it was his destiny!

  • alberto del rio?

  • american people just can't get that europeans have a different sense of humour than americans. i'm from finland and i find the uk version much more entertaining. for me the us version is too over the top and naive whereas the uk versíon is much cleverer

  • @januschii Dont you get that 2 out of 4 were the same people? The UK host is simply worse

  • @Nesh108 Without Wayne it's not anywhere close to the US version.

  • "It-wa-yung" is going to be my new favorite catchphrase.

  • Thanks Clive, you FUCKED up his guess!

  • UK Version = Fucking lame! America Rocks Bitch!!!!!

  • collin speak more natural than the other guy. . .

  • Well one difference is, Colin is WAY better!

  • The UK version has a certain nostalgic quality, even if the US version is funnier.

  • Theres more spirit with the US version... love them!!!

  • US Whose line is tooooo much better than UK. Colin rocks!

  • How's the Tang?

  • man, things really have changed haven't they?

  • This is the first time I watched the UK version and it felt weird without Wayne and Drew XD

  • Colin is amazing

  • clive talked rather too much

  • tang?

  • It's better in US because the Audience laughs louder and even the host will lose it sometimes, seeing Drew flip out is funny. Also they use Colin and we've all discovered that Colin is one of the funniest comedians ever..much funnier than Tony S.

  • how many times?

    well 15

    LOL ryans face

  • @ahmedkandiel i dont think the scenes from a hat are random and i think they ask them to redo some of the games if someone swears or something and when they redo ill imagine it's similar to the first take but i dont think it's scripted as in, they read a script and then do it. no way. so it is improv. what made you say that? if it's the answers of the british guy who fit perfectly, ehm, the other guy was pretty obviously telling him what to say and ruining all the fun and randomness.

  • @ahmedkandiel I do too. I don't think it's 100% improv.

  • This is better in the US version.

  • i fucking hate clive

  • "the MIR the merrior" - damn that was quick too.

  • Ryan should've dropped the question "now you know a British guy did this before you, right?"

  • The Difference is the Uk talks about the open Space, and US talks about only the moon.

  • @Davek5204

No, the difference is Colin is much funnier.

  • @JustinBlottin Agreed

  • WHERES CHIP, GREG, WAYNE, DREW, AND COLIN'S HAWAIIAN SHIRT DAMN U!!!!!!!

  • Is this the first black hole you've encountered?

LOL! OMG I cant believe he asked that!

  • What did Ryan mean when he said "how was the tang" ?

  • @sinansaad90 That's a slang term for a woman's private area.

  • @sinansaad90 The other answer about Tang being related to a woman's private parts isn't correct. In the United States, during the 1960's and 1970's, astronauts were provided a freeze-dried orange drink powder called Tang; adding water turned it into a beverage simulating orange juice. Tang was (and I think still is) sold to consumers in grocery stores, and was heavily advertised as the drink of the astronauts.

  • @Tigerpaws9097826 oh ok sweet, yea i've seen tang juice before

but wow Ryan is actually genius for saying that!

  • @Tigerpaws9097826 it is a slang term, so even though u knew all about that crap u still sound like an idiot. congratulations!

  • @Tigerpaws9097826 It's both the drink and slang for vagina. That's why he said it.

  • @bttrflykiss7701 ... re: Tigerpaws reply, actually '' tang '' was meant as the short version of '' Poontang '' which is a slang for anal. That's what broke up Wayne so much, but yes, it is also the drink which gets it by the censors.

  • @IamTerryC

tang poontang: pussy, vagina, sex, poon

    also...space age orange flavored drink.

    urbandictionary

  • how was the TANG? lol.. Colin is the best!

  • haha i bet after a few questions he was like, "i know thiiis"

  • They tried to DOCK!

  • The Mir the merrier!

  • even in the UK version, when Collin is behind that podium, he always gets it right. XD

  • Can I spot a difference? OH YES!

Collin beats the Brit by many MANY lengths!

  • @kentekent You, Sir, are an idiot.

Colin Mochrie is brilliant. But Tony Slattery is a LEGEND.

There would be no Mochrie if it wasn't for Tony.

He MADE the UK version what it was.

  • @Mayna00 Legend or not, he's still boring as hell.

  • @kentekent *sigh* I was rude there, wasn't I? Sorry.

I love Colin and Ryan, but Tony and Paul Merton are so brilliant. I got a little carried away!

Watch some of his bartender songs from UK's Whose Line. You'll like him!

  • How long did it take u to re enter. LOL

  • I'm suprised no one said: "So you've been where no man has gone before."

  • The guy at 0:28 is picking his nose.

  • Us !!!

  • Comment removed

  • What probably helped Colin was the fact that they were using questions he asked in the UK version.

  • i am sorry to people of the uk...but this doesnt hold a candle up to the us version.

  • there's like three people in the audience picking their nose at 0:26. Aren't the english supposed to be dignified?

  • "This is my bloody press conference, shut it !" lol

  • US version, way funnier and the host isn't boring !!!!

  • De ja vu huh Collin?

  • Mostly i think both tony and Colin work the press conference furiously, But I also thought UK version had a lot of tougher questions

  • I like how Wayne used the "re-entry" thing again, I wonder if that tipped Colin off.

  • they used the same joke for two shows? Why would they make it "made love on the moon" twice?

  • @JDRszostak

The frist time it was 'made love in space' and it was on the UK show.

  • Gooo Colin! :D

  • "And much less risk of, next question."

  • Because the US version is a hell of alot funnier

  • (In advance, I apologize for the typo for "obvious" in my previous post.)

Don't get me wrong, nobody beats Ryan and Colin. They pretty much made the US show what it is. (Ryan particularly reaching new levels of genius further on in the UK series). But the UK version had a lot more variety, which made the experience feel unique every time.

Plus, if I may, Clive Anderson is by far the superior host.

  • I haven't seen the UK version but in the US version Drew is barely a host anyways :P

  • Hehe. That's true. The hosts of Whose Line have the authority of my substitute teachers back in grade school.

You should definitely watch the UK version. It's not quite like the US version for several reasons, most of those reasons making it more entertaining. While I'll watch the US series only for Ryan and Colin (and Greg whenever he guest stars), I'll watch the UK series for pretty much everything it has to offer.

  • @MarissaEvans1987 @MarissaEvans1987 wow to leave wayne and chip out of the reason to watch Whose Line is to take the art in enternainment aspect out of comedy. No one on the UK cast would stump waynes numerous renditions at sing and dance subjects. the musical genres chosen varying from actual different countries and regions, since it's located next to so many, on the UK Whose Line is compelling but the renditions done by the cast are sometimes gruesome.

  • I think the difference is in the fact that the UK show was really focused on they're being performers, the art of comedy, you might say, and in the US version it's less formal, Colin and Ryan are less shy and more experienced and the veterans, no longer fish out of water, and they accept that it's silly and the points don't matter, as in the UK version, Clive would keep score. And also, different times, different country, different audience. Different outcome. Interesting to compare though.

  • UK=haha *silence*

    US=hahahahahahhahahahahhahahAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • too bad Ryan didn't pull out the black hole joke for the US version

  • How was the TANG?

  • main difference? The presence of laughter!

  • kathy griffin!!

  • colin is brilliant!

  • clive anderson sux he is soo mean

  • @fistup54

Blah, Clive is a very funny guy and you'd know if you'd just give British comedy more of a chance.

  • Amen to that. There's something very refreshing about the UK version. The US version is too set in their ways to leave room for variety.

  • this is MY bloody press conference! shut it!

    lmao!

  • Nice find!

  • On the UK version, they don't introduce themselves first...:( It's a lot more fast-paced than the US version.

  • lol at 0:27 in the back there is a guy picking his nose

  • lmao

  • nice find! ahahhaha what a freak

  • You can't beat Colin. You canNOT.

  • Abey, here in Michigan it still airs occasionally on the ABC Family Channel. Sometimes on Thursdays and/or Sundays. I don't know if that helps any.

  • Haha, I'm from Michigan, too.

  • do any brits prefer the American version? is it really better, or just a different type of humor (or humour, if yer a limey)?

  • LOL

  • "Have you ever seen Uranus" "Was this the first black hole you've encountered" lol Ryan <3

and Tony's reaction when Clive read him who he was XDD

  • The US version is definitely a lot better. Im sad that the don't air these anymore. :(

  • @Abey0203 Its on abc family on weekdays but its from 12:00-12:30am and 12:30-1:00am... which sucks cuz no one is up at those times

  • @fluteplaya22593 deadbeats

  • I think Colin is alo better with answering and guessing.

  • The American version is THE ONE to watch there is no comparison. Uk version was nothing special.

  • @TheCJShameless The audience's reaction is what matters. There's nothing but talent and ability in the US version.

  • @TheCJShameless I absolutely agree with you. Sadly, most people don't.

  • @TheCJShameless The point of comedy is making an audience laugh!

  • @TheCJShameless I'll agree Clive stretches their abilities, by making them play a million different games, but I think the performers on the US version are more talented, and Drew has more chemistry. Cause I mean, Colin and Ryan usually did the best jobs on the UK version. But I mean, Drew could easily just have them play more games, and still have chemistry, where Clive can't just develop chemistry over night. I love both, but US version takes the cake.

  • iv heard colin mention "flavor cristals" thing b4 - wat that bout

  • Tang..endorsed by the astronauts!

  • so that's how Colin got it so fast!

  • 3:24 15!? LOL

  • Gosh, Tony Slattery is a nervous fellow!

  • woa what happened to ryans hair xD

  • wat bout it?

  • all i know is the MIRer the merrier

  • I kind of wonder if Colin was thinking, "This seems very familiar."

  • @JasonL77

    This happened before Colin's

  • @JasonL77 no, because the show was in britain first. just a dumb comment.

  • @Cischr1 Uh, yeah, I know it was in Britain first. I meant he was thinking that, while taping the American episode, it was done on the British show.

  • they made the same press conference for the american whose line...

  • kinda like your mom

  • "first black hole..." wow Ryan

  • the differece is the US version is funnier

  • is that guy picking his nose at 0:28 ?

  • yup

  • lol!! yep!!

  • Lol I think so, well spotted.

  • yes he is LOL

  • UK version is boring

  • Damn wankers are so much dirtier than the British haha. Jk Jk but Colin and Ryan FTW

  • The Uk versions sucks! the presenter is so damn boring! Us version owns!

  • That's funny. I sucked to think that the US Version sucks, because at first I hated the presenter...

I've come to love it and him though :3.

  • i agrree it relli sucks :/

  • Colin and Ryan have english counterparts!

  • Well, in England, if you raise your voice to a point where someone feels uncomfortable or threatened, you can be arrested. That is why the English are so quiet.

  • haha i would be arrested 6 times a day...i generally have a loud voice

  • me too

    I am a loud american

  • what!!!?

    I'm sorry, that's bull.

  • I love how Wayne used the same question as Colin did in the UK one @1:11 @3:48 I wonder if it was intentional

  • It's just an obvious joke.

  • The US version is better, but its not really a fair comparison.

US is funnier because the show was a lot more popular so bigger audiences and more support for performers. And it gave Ryan and Colin an extra nearly decade to improve as well for the US one. And TV in the 80/90 and 2000s are different.

So I think the US is much funnier, but its not really a fair comparison

  • well maybe BUT, this WAS a British show..

It ran longer in the UK with newer episodes released faster than the American version

Hey did any of you watch the deleted stuff that got botched out of the us version because it was thought to be to risky for US censorship?? none of that would have got hacked away had this been left up to the UK.

Also the show is canceled now thanks to the US version!! So SOMEONE didn't agree with the US version being funnier and it must have been a lot of people

  • U have to see Colin doing that a few years after

  • Is this the first black hole you have encountered?

  • People seemed to me more invloved in the US one in the UK it's like they're scared to make noise...

    Hahaa

  • Brits will laugh, but they're interested in hearing every bit of dialogue. So they laugh loud and fast usually, then pipe back down.

  • LOL.,

dude, US version is a lot more hilarious, you can tell by the audience, they cheer and laugh harder than in the UK version....xD

not that I have anything against the UK version... :D

  • I think US people tend to be louder than UK people in general.

  • you have a point there,,, :D

  • i think the people involved got better over time espically colin and ryan.

  • US ftw

  • I love the US version but you got to admit colin looks sharp

  • well yes but clive not much a well to do fellow in doin improv but he do has his moments....at time be nice come back again to Tv

  • Colin looks different in a suit! O.O looks gooood ;D

  • US version is better

  • i really like seeing colin wearing his blue shirt...ooopsss!!!

  • hello if was not for clive anderson this show would not been on tv started By BBC first so give clive anderson some due

  • i would except he always doesnt give enough time and he;s forever giving away the answers.....so no

  • You are a typical American isolationist to disrespect the mother of her children...

The UK's version is mother to the US version - Clive Anderson is a little "dull" compared to Drew Carey, but he pioneered it, and bear in mind this started in the 80's and UK TV was different then, with more constrictions on the budget than in the later US versions. The UK version beats Jeopardy! so go figure.

  • .....ok........ *gives you a weird look*

  • Dude The U.S. Version is wayyyyy better.

ryan and collian are way funnier lol :p

  • Wow, Ryan and Colin stood out so much in the UK version, they're just so much more talented than the other two. The UK version is good, but the chemistry is much better in the US version.

  • Well first of all, I love Whose line is It Anyways, but i've always hated the UK version, because the host isn't funny, but the USA ersion is the absolute best because of Drew Carey and there are way better people also. Wayne Brady is my favorite and Drew Auctually joinds in the other games unlike in the UK version

  • exaaacctly!

  • Its my bloody press conference.. Shut it! Lol

  • UK version blows

  • I know right! Im English and even i ca
