NEVER! I am 55 years old; I was in the first group of 18 year olds allowed to vote. There has NEVER been any election like this in my lifetime. I am so sorry my parents are not alive to see this.
I know what you mean! Bexar County (TX) always goes Red; this year, we went Blue. San Antonio looked and sounded like it coes when the Spurs win the NBA championship. Same thing happened in the Dallas/Ft.Worth, Houstin, and Austin areas. My home county in Northern New York went Blue for the first time in 48 years.
This is historic, and my kids and grandchildren realize it....
Awesome! My county (Sarasota County, FL) hasn't gone blue since FDR in 1932. This year, McCain won but only by 200 votes out of 210,000. In the CITY of Sarasota, FL (my beloved hometown), Obama won 65% - 35%!!! I'm proud of Sarasota and I'm proud of FL!
I've never seen anything like this. We will never forget the night of November 4, 2008! GO OBAMA!!

I seriously believe that all of the celebrations throughout the country and the world should be compiled.
And let us all pray (however we do such a thing) that we have something new and different and more aligned to the way a majority of us think.
I watch "Bob the Builder" with a year-old every day and she has learned to shout, "Yes! We Can!"
If a one-year-old can do it, who can't?
