Precisely because he comes across on stage - interacting with other musicians as almost sighted, performers tend to forget and exchange those little signals with him the way sighted musicians do...since HE does it with them. It's his way of playing. Watch other videos - Stevie with Toots Thielemans ...Tony Bennett, Frederic Yonnet, before thinking this is unique.
