I didn't know about the luck thing, but I do know they like red hair for sure....

I was at an airshow a couple years ago and these japanese tourists kept following me and separated into a few groups to get a picture with me (or in the case of the 3 japanese boys, like 5 pictures....yeah.) I don't really know what it is, but i find it very amusing.

People want your pictures because you have blonde hair. It's considered good luck (so I've heard) to touch golden colored hair.
