i have sony vegas pro 10...but for some reason when i click on Overlay...it adds TONS of contrast to my video clip. I go to the FX to make sure i didnt add any contrast by mistake...but nothing. i even checked the track FX. What am i doing wrong?

@innisso in this way you need to use an overlay for the whole video cause if you use it just in some parts the rest will be dark. sorry

when i try to overlay two videos, the clip moves really slowly and keeps stopping , it dosent run smoothly, do you know why this is?, can anyone help?:(

it can happen for several reasons. 1. if your pc isnt powerful enough. 2.if you have your playback window set to "best /full".3. if the video or audio stream has errors in it. i've seen many dvd sourced vob videos with errors. i'd imagine that hd vids with errors 'd cause even more problems because the bitrates are so high. try setting the playback window at "draft/quarter" and see if that fixes it. if not its either the video itself or your pc isnt powerful enough.

how do u do a Fireworks Overlay?

go to detonation films and download some of their free fireworks video. open your project and insert the fireworks on a track above the track with your video sequence. be sure to set the fireworks track mode to "sreen". ive used them before and they work great blending seamlessly with your video footage. they have nice explosions and gun blasts too.

maybe the version of your vegas son't have the full options, sorry.

Though it is the latest version , Sony Vegas 9 but it indeed doesn't have those options.

I downgraded to Sony Vegas 8 and it has those options.
