To tell the truth, The damn hotel is too expensive, therefor noone will go there.
I remember when they opened it I was in the D R at that time. It was highly recomended. If they put the price down even the local rich will be able to stay there with a reasonable price.
It is not deserted, hardly you will ever see owners in group.
Surely it's not a cheap resort with crowd jumping over your head.

i have to say.. Cap cana is beautiful. i just got back from there. We stayed at the secrets sanctuary resort which is beautiful. My father in law is constructing a villa and it should be completed by August in what is called el caleton. Definitely recommend going there. it is tru the process is slow is the construction aspect and it will take a few years so that it can be completed.
Go now to that place again to see the diference!! now there is a private school called Heritage and is full!! and there is a college called UNIBE!! that is full too!! that time maybe you were recording early in the morning,,,, MOST OF THE PEOPLE THERE WORKS!!! AND KIDS GO TO SCHOOL!!

It is now one year later and construction has resumed, although at a much slower pace. The project is still beautiful, the people are gracious and it is an amazing place. The developers remain committed and the master plan is brilliant. I hope this gentlemen will return in a few years. We love Cap Cana!
I was right there on new years eve for that party at the marina, it was preety packed, we rented a villa on las palmas close to the caleton beach club, i wish i was back there it was amazing.

You are so wrong, people already do live here, I'm one of them. If you want to call this ghost town do it, but don't influence others people mind. This is lovely place to be, live, educate your kids and enjoy the life. This is my final destination, I can't dream about any better place, and don't need to look for paradise, if exist somewhere else I don't need it anymore, I find my own called: Cap Cana.
I agree, I just got back from there yesterday, we stayed for two weeks and it was simply amazing this is heaven, people were so friendly there, I loved the caleton beach club to, and the marina was packed full of people on new years eve it was crazy, I had the best two weeks of my life.
Thank you for showing us how beautiful that place really is.

It is now one year later and construction has resumed, although at a much slower pace. The project is still beautiful, the people are gracious and it is an amazing place. Actually it is an amazing place!! i stayed there for couple of months and it was great. But it is truth that there is not a lot of people there.

Cap Cana is not deserted, it has not been completed yet. The project is in the final stages of completion.
