  • Oh, Hon, I'm so sorry you are going through this. It breaks my heart. My kids and I have the same thing. I am an eye doctor on professional disability with this condition, and am determined to figure this out. HUGE progress is being made! Will you check out The Driscoll Theory on my website? We're making a difference, though, and I'm happy to say I'm stirring the waters! Most of us have a form of hydrocephalus and mast cell disease (both we treat with meds). WHAT a difference. Checkk it out? HUG

  • Im so sorry. I'm 20 and I have EDS, POTS and Chiari 1 . So I understand. Your boss sounds like a jerk. That's terrible that he wont let you use your cane. It's not hurting anyone. Your right you can't treat people like that. I know it's easier to say then do but you should try and find a new job where they will respect you for the work that u do;not because u use a cane. Most people with this sickness don't even work.I'm proud of you if that means anything. Its okay to vent sometimes Its natural

  • That sucks that things are going so bad for you. Hopefully your company changes its attitude, though I doubt it will. Just do not quit. Force them to fire you if anything. They may try to treat you bad enough that you give up. Thats how they win. Force them to fire you and you might have a lawsuit.

  • Thank you both for your support. I actually had to go back to the hospital last night... they sent me back home because I really just need to see my cardiologist again. I just know that no job is worth putting my health in jeopardy... so I have to take care of me first.

  • you're video actually made me tear up a little. i'm sorry youre having a horrible time. i can empathize a bit with the work issues. I told my work multiple times what limitations i have & they kept pushing me, finally i told one of my bosses abt my EDS & got her a note from my DR & now she is always really sweet to me and acts like she feels sorry for me! WTF: she couldn't be nice to me when she thought I was a 'normal' 'healthy' person? UGH! I do hope u get things under control soon. Take care.
