A player at Idra's level should NEVER have fallen for a hallucinated attack. It was just Idra's usual ego crap to quit a game before it was obvious that he had lost. How many times has he shot himself in the foot now, because of his stupid ego shit? Resorting to name calling and swearing usually means that you're a weak wimp. If you can't stand tall, play your game, and gain respect through talent and esteem, then you're sad.. Guys like Ali..in boxing, intimidated, but did not lower themselves.

@tworedjacks Find me a clip of Ali using derogatory terms.. He intimidated his opponents but I don't ever recall him using derogatory terms to do that....not the blatant crap that Idra uses. Idra's stuff has often been petulant and immature in my opinion.. Anyhow...I'm waiting for that.... Ali very often stood up for a cause that was much greater than himself. He fought in a time when civil rights for blacks was a prime issue....and yet retained alot of class thru a very difficult time.

@tworedjacks Here's a slant on it for you. Was Ali seen as a whiner? Why are so many labelling Idra as a whiner?. Now...I don't want to go on and on about this. I think he learned some lessons on the last 2 GSLs...but I'm doing this just to answer your query.... Personally...having watched the latest tournament....I think Idra has to face his own weaknesses in the game, and improve on them. When you constantly blame someone else for your losses, you don't learn anything....

Regardless, idra is definitely no saint and should be criticized for the way he acts, but not outright shunned. Hate it or love it, his personality is what adds some spice to the scene instead of some robots banging keys.

@tworedjacks I'm not shunning the guy......this is why I was hesitant to reply. I posted something when the GSL incident happened.....but yes...he needs to have a chance to deal with stuff. We just post because he is now a public figure....and like everyone in the that position, he has to learn to handle that kind of pressure, and stay grounded. True that ALi said crap....but it's different when it's meant to intimidate and play with someone's head...as opposed to just blunt rage...

@tworedjacks My feeling about it is that the blunt rage just damages his own psyche, more than it affects the other guy. It's a weakness....and I think there's a smarter way to say stuff....so you can at least get under someone's skin. Stuff is probably better said at the beginning of a game...LOL....and not in defeat...

When it comes down to it....no one really respects someone who whines in defeat. Being Canadian, I think of hockey...and you gotta admire someone who loses graciously...
