Dogs get a bit weird when vitamin C is around----as a child, I had a dog who sat under the quince trees for a solid month before they "ripened" (which they never really do) and fell. If you know quince, you know they're ascerbic and SOUR!!! Our dog Rogue would gnaw on one, curl his lips up and drop it, then gnaw on it again. He'd bury his rock-hard quince, digging them up when they were good and....rock hard and sour. This went on every spring and summer for years. You're not alone!
And those are pie cherries, so I know they're SOUR.

@marginallymental Aha, vitamin C! She must have a craving for them, and probably gets a kick out of the super sour flavor, too!
