  • The first time I saw Bill McDonough speak in front of the National Press Club my heart began to sing, my spirit was uplifted, and I knew I'd found someone with a very powerful truth. Not to mention one who puts everything where his mouth is, on target.

  • William McDonough is one of my heros. His vision of hope, kindness and prosperity inspires me to no end. His is the example I want to follow.

  • There's no moral high-horse to come down from: he doesn't expect you to go out and save the planet from destruction. He just wants to challenge the current industrial system and make it clean and healthy in addition to being profitable. Granted he gets kind of philosophical, but his words are always backed up by a tangible example. Read the book!

  • Definetly a lover of language. Yes he could be more to the point at times but he does make a number of non-trivial points.

Definetly makes enough incisive points for me to be very interested in his work. Just ordered the book (cradel to cradel).

  • As Albert Einstein said, "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."

  • get a life tmassey

  • As a student of design (but more engineering in general) I can almost see what he means. If only him & the rest of this odd community could climb down off their moral high-horse and speak in real english.

And if only americans would stop whooping at idiotic barely relevant statements...

  • Wow, what a religion. Lots of high minded meaningless. I eat other species - I don't love them. Just like all other animals.

  • Design, intention,

life, liberty and the pursute of happiness, freedom from remote repression

loving all the children of all speices for all time
