  • @AsSeenOnTV0893 these lyrics are from "streetfight" by david essex ;70's album "rock on" i think?

  • ERaver...couldn't agree more! you're spot on....where the hell and what the hell is the 00's music!!!

  • @tallulahbaddulah Corporate control has flattened the creativity we need. You have to look for private artists on the web to find anything these days, with some exceptions.

  • Album versions better, still a beautiful track though

  • dali rade na openerze !! :)

  • this sounds different to the album version. have i missed out on this single recording for all of these years?

  • yh the 1 on the album is beta this 1 is not so gud is it

  • @sexpotleanne agreed. this one feels abit more pop orientated. blue lines album is great but not as good as mezzanine ;)

  • ...WHY DIDNT SHE JUST TAKE THE STEPS?? O.O

  • @jbomber6054 totally agree with you. I prefer this to Unfinished Sympathy.

  • thanks guys snap6919 was right it was splitting the atom fuck its a cool song swear to hell its tom waits.

  • Bunjino, you're probably looking for this song by Massive Attack - Live With Me.

I hope I helped you somehow, because this is the first song that came in my mind when I read your comment. I think that Massive Attack don't have many songs with male vocals.

  • incorrect, they have several

  • I need some help from a Massive attack fan.. i few weeks ago i heard a song on the radio that sounded like Leonard Cohen singing.. when it finished they only said it was massive attack and not the name of the song.. if any one knows the song im talking about plz tell me.. it was a really slow song with a deeps bassy line.

  • it may be splitting the atom... check it out !

  • @bunjino Maybe Massive Attack - Butterfly Caught?

  • splitting the atom, from the new ep

  • Wait a second.. Didn't Jeff Beck have this bassline in Stratus say.. a decade earlier than this song did?

  • having recently heard Salt Peanuts (a jazz classic), I was pleasantly amused to hear the synth repeat that upbeat six-note motif. I believe it only makes this song more badass.

  • oh we've ad it lads,oh we,ve ad it..

    the end is neigh etc..

    helonataflump!

  • this song contains sample from billy cobham song called stratus (cd spectrum).

  • the best... voice, image, concept...

  • Shara nothing but Love ! All long with all the Attack changed my thinking x .

  • The 80s and 90s were cool, but this decade sucks cock...in 20 years will people pine for the lost decade 2000-2009? I'm glad it will be over soon.

  • they were cool enough... would've been even cooler if you died back then

  • 80-90s are what pioneered alot of the music of 00's. Im not sure what kind of music you listened to in the 90s but most of the 90s music totally blows away this era's music. Music of today for the most part is brain dead sound alike dribble.

  • @ERaver2020

With a few exceptions, most of the music so far this decade has been really dull and uninspired. Very disappointing.

  • @ERaver2020

Not really. There's still some good music being produced these days. You just have to keep your mind open and branch out from the music you already like. (Pandora and Winamp Radio are good ways to do that.) Give new stuff a chance once in a while.

I actually found out about Bassnectar (a dubstep artist) when I was listening to some stuff by Massive Attack, because he did a mix of some of their stuff. Then I listened to the rest of Bassnectar's stuff and fell in love all over again.

  • @ERaver2020 Brain dead? lol... that is mainstream music bud and it has almost always been pretty much brain dead.. No need to be "brain dead" and say that about music nowadays there a plenty of smart artists in all genres it is the few that are fucking stupid that somehow brainwash people into staying away from a genre or an era of music :)

  • @ERaver2020 couldnt of put it better!!!! well said!! 2days music is manufactued crap the same as anything in 2 days world ....i dont want to venture away from the music but i fear for the future of our children!!! slaves 2 the machine!!! manufactured music, manufactured tv,manufactured food, n unfortunatley manufactured lives!!!!.............BUT not my child!! cos i will do everything in my power 2 make sure she never ends up this way!!!!!

  • IT WILL ALL BE OVER SOON, ALL,,,,,

  • Ah, the age of Freedom Fries. Good times.

  • midnight rockers, city slikers, gunman and maniacs...

all that feauturs on my freak show and i can't do nothing about that...nooou oohh

  • yea boy .. billy cobham.. the god father of trip hop.. silly aint it that this track was actually made by a jazz band in the 70's then sampled and looped continually for this track.. which is an excellent track in its own right but some what pale compaired to the original

  • billy cobham - stratus !

  • OMFG! da beat is sick tho! LOVE dis shit so much!

  • Det er jo fantastisk musik at slappe af til!!

Og så taber Sverige i København på lørdag...and thats a fact!!!

  • What a classic!!!! RESPECT

  • I can dance, from inside

  • 'If you hurt whats mine, I will SURE as hell retaliate"

  • INCREDIBLE

    SUPERB

  • Über-Super !

  • I've seen this video 50x's, then I see this...3:45, this is D's tribute to Ray Davies of the Kinks...SOOOO funny!!!!!

  • Adoro essa música!

  • this is an awesome mix - I love the addition of the keyboards to the original

  • This is my favorite song.

  • this is probably their 2nd best song. number one is angel of course. but this is such a great song.

  • The American hip hop music nowadays is just embarrassing when you listen to the deep vibes of this track.

  • At some point during the day, every day, I think to myself why is Hip Hop nowadays such shit?

  • lol you said it, nas said hip hop is dead, i think that music(ART) is dead!! i was born in 1984 and i listen to music(ART) as long as it's from the 80's , 90's or early 2000's!! peace!!!!!

  • i fully agree with you , you have taste!! peac!!!

  • @Cypherus21 Indeed...probablt why I hate hip hop so much, which is probably a shame in a way, as I feel that I should check out some more thoughtful, meaningful and influential hip hop, like public enemy, maybe...I think I'll always prefer trip hop, though...it's just generally better, and more musical

  • @Cypherus21 tbh 90s hiphop is quite good and some of 00s too. what is not is bill gatherer "artists" such as justin bieber etc

  • love it !

  • i love this song and the massive attack sound!!!

  • bellissimo

  • This is hard, but I prefer the album version.

  • I prefer this version -- hook is just so... clean. I can't describe it, really. But the album version is dope, too.

  • Now you see, that's what happens when too many people get thrown down the elevator shaft; people begin to notice, then it gets closed and ruined for everyone :(.

  • i was looking back to see if you were looking back at me to see me looking back at you

  • isn't it the greatest. They are touring again, hope they play this one

  • Narcotic Thrust featuring Yvonne John Lewis - Safe From Harm (Behrouz and Andy Remix)

  • This could be recorded today and sound modenr.

  • r u serious? that's one of the best things about massive attack; they were WAY AHEAD of their time. they are beyond modern; they are STILL ahead of their time; if you don't believe me, listen to Mezzanine beg to end.

  • gotta visit a live concert of MA if u like the music u will love it althought it was a great show in slovenia i gess in other bigger countrys it will even be more spectacular.Lp

  • I just found out about this song (it was used for a fashion show soundtrack - Valentino S09). I had no idea it was so old! No wonder it seems so comforting (I would have been 4 in '91). I guess good music can transcend time.

  • from blue lines the best with unfinished sympathy

  • woah, love the music bit from 3:16 onwards !!

  • Most of the samples including the piece you love is sampled from "Stratus" by Billy Cobham Jr. Probably the best drummer ever. Check him out

  • 'wot happened to the niceties of my childhood days, well i cant do nuthing bout that, nooo ooo, but if u hurt wots mine'

  • for me as an american, this is one of the main reasons why i want to move out my country. There are so much out their in the world i want to feel, hear, and see!
