  • Not that it matters, but if you have a Nintendo 3DS nowadays, and, if you search around YouTube on how to transfer Miis from your Wii to 3DS, you might be able to try for DSiWare games next.

  • OMG i remember that Game! i used to watch them play! i always wanted to play that!

  • @AwsomeGamer99 Perhaps you could...spread the word about this?

  • mrbenio,if i were playin this game right now i'd pick the green monkey cuz' there my favorite team, but i like the loading screen cuz' of the sounds of the temple doors opening.but mostly i like to say what the screen says and a few times i have watched this video,i have never found the green star

  • @SuperJas2002 Uh, green star? From Super Mario Galaxy and/or its sequel?

  • Here's what I wanna know...

Where did the bamboo forest come from which episode?

  • @Dzibela5 The Bamboo Forest was part of Layout 6 of the first season only, which lasted from eps 22-26 (so 5 eps). Course, each version of the Swamp from s1 was pretty much the same in difficulty.

  • This makes an amazing video game, but I feel you weren't being all that descriptive (exemplification on the word descriptive) when you were talking about the elimination rounds and the Temple Run. (No offense!)

  • @KawKawKatara123 Well, it was made over a year ago...but I'm not willing to make a new one, especially with the next college semester coming up. I'm currently just started on the video hoping to be uploaded before then revealing all 240 artifacts I've chosen to use and where or what they're based on. That'll be plenty of copyright to point out, ya know.

  • Yeah, everyone's game would end due to power outages.

  • @xHEDGEHOGMAN1x 'Cuz I've been there-another reason why I hated doing MKWii online ghost races.

  • I wonder if you're accepting episode or room submissions from users that could be on the video game itself? Anyway, Legends would make a great video game for your whole family or your buddies!

  • @KawKawKatara123 No. I prefer to find the information for episodes myself. That way, I feel that their more my ideas. This is also why I haven't read anybody's fanfics so that way if I have episodes that concern the same legend as some other's fic, no copyright issues! As for the rooms, I have 71 and have made them visible in my vids. I have thought of more, but 71 with countless layout combinations seem to be enough for me.

  • I wonder if you're accepting submissions from users that could be on the video game itself? Anyway, Legends would make a great video game for your whole family or your buddies!

  • @KawKawKatara123 No, I can only concentrate on one. Besides, I've thought up so many already games already that just didn't leave a permanent mark on my thoughts (most I didn't even bother to work on, just think about them). Also, I got them from other games that have been made already, so none are 100% my own. Unlike this one though, I've worked over a year and half (two counting my episode outlines), so this might be my best bet right here.

  • The only thing I don't like is that you have to play online against other people, and that you cant only play up to 3 times a week. Why not a "Play Episode" to play offline, and a "Competition" to play online against others. When you play by yourself, you get a few points (depending of difficulty), but online play gives you 2X or 3X the points, and after Temple Runs, you get the remaining Pendants as bonus points, and you can buy extra episodes and materals to make your own rooms and episodes

  • Actually, I came up with a special "Tournament Mode" for single play. It works as a basic tournament where you're up against the Wii Sports Miis (you don't get % from these, but completing all 36 unlocks your own "Custom Temple" to use in your very own tournament. Also there's the Training Grounds where you play the Moat Crossings and Temple Games. You'll play against the Tutes here on up to four unlockable missions (each on harder than the last. You WILL get % for completing these).

  • As for "Play Episode", there's "Episode History", where you can watch three to four versions of an episode: the #1 best ending in the world, the #1 worst ending in the world, the #1 "artifact acquired" (that means they didn't get out of the Temple in time) ending in the world, and the final draft of your participated version (if you did one, that is). It would be just like watching the good ol' show again, but with the ending of your choice!

  • You know something else? you could be right about my limit on how many times on playing a weekly episode. I made that because doing a certain episode multiple times equals a stronger memory and experience; you'll know what to expect. It was just my sympathy for the players who only did an episode once. But then there's Mario Kart Wii Tournaments and Check Mii Out contests that give you endless tries until the final due date. Some might only have time to play once a week so maybe it should change

  • When you said that first you have to choose a male then a female mii i believe there always had to be one boy and one girl in each team on the TV show.

  • @NessLover94 Actually, "Legends" seems to be the only one I know that always had a boy and girl on each team...and maybe "I'm Telling", but I haven't looked any episodes of that up in the longest time, if at all.

  • I'm not american but via youtube i have seen some old episodes and all teams had one child of each gender.

  • This needs to happen!

  • @crockris Then please help me out! Send this video to everyone you know, and a lot of others you don't! Like you, someone's bound to look at this and agree completely.

  • Whoa! This is really cool!

  • @Sageoftechnology777 Then would you please help me out? Send this video to everyone you know, and a lot of others you don't! Like you, someone's bound to look at this and agree completely.

  • i stumbled on to this and i dont have the words for how gay it truly is

  • @mlopes87 Huh? Is that a good thing?

  • Great Idea. Get permission from Nick bcuz this is their property and then send it to nintendo

  • @FGK1990 Yes, I...know that.

  • I pray you get this done.

  • @MadManMaloney Me too.

  • As I am watching this, I see my brother and sister playing with the Xbox Kinect. What if it became a game for that as well with the likes of the others you mentioned?

  • @MadManMaloney Well, I've had VAGUE thoughts of that, but I'm more loyal to Nintendo...despite one or two of my my "Legends" episodes depict from games unrelated to that company (Sly 2, Grabbed the the Goulies...)

  • This is very interesting. This could be a fun game. I like the job you did with video. How many "legends" or different episodes would there be in the game?

  • @TheOtherShmaltz I thought up over 200 (including my extras in case the ones on the lineup are no longer interesting to me). I want it to be like as if it was still like an actual game show, so if we "aired" an episode for the 200 artifacts in the lineup once per week, it could last 3 years, 10 months, and 2 days. So far, I've finished 101 episode outlines (since in-game dialogue is random in most, I decided to leave all that off the script) and 24 more with just the legend segment and questions

  • Now this, I like!

  • @Cloud198422 @Xboxer1080 Then please help me out! Send this video to everyone you know, and a lot of others you don't! Like you, someone's bound to look at this and agree completely. I myself have also been working on episode outlines (I came up with around 200 artifacts, and completed 70 so far). Make sure to see my other videos on how the Wii Remote and Nunchuck work for every Moat crossing, Temple Game, and Temple Room (I drew them all myself, and made some of my own!!)

  • PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN, FOR GODS SAKE!

I WOULD BE FOREVER IN YOUR DEBT!

  • @Xboxer1080 Then please help me out! Send this video to everyone you know, and a lot of others you don't! Like you, someone's bound to look at this and agree completely. • @mrbenio

You got it! I'll spread this video and make this game real, whatever the cost!

  • @Xboxer1080 Thanks! (and it's 71 episode outlines now)

  • It would be so cool to see this on the wii.

  • @MDWimb Then please help me out! Send this video to everyone you know, and a lot of others you don't! Like you, someone's bound to look at this and agree completely. I myself have also been working on episode outlines (I came up with around 200 artifacts, and completed 45 so far). Make sure to see my other videos on how the Wii Remote and Nunchuck work for every Moat crossing, Temple Game, and Temple Room (I drew them all myself, and made some of my own!!)

  • Make it happen!

  • @blueyoshi44 Then help me out! Send this video to everyone you know, and a lot of others you don't! Like you, someone's bound to look at this and agree completely. • THEY NEED TO MAKE THIS!!!

  • Then help me out! Send this video to everyone you know, and a lot of others you don't! Like you, someone's bound to look at this and agree completely. • Respond to this video... they cannceled it i loved it as a kid

  • like i said great work!!! : )

  • this is pretty nice. with a bit of work, it could become an actual WiiWare game. ^_^

  • very cool!!

  • This is actualy really good.

  • Yes! And I want it to be made real someday. I have plenty of episode outlines made out already, and over 200 artifacts (some in the "extras" pile : ] )!

  • Ahh good ol days of it being on Nickelodeon, reminds me of Wii Party.

  • cool.

  • this real or fake

  • This is not real. I've been making and showing these ideas off to everyone in hopes that will be real (I've come up with many episodes that I've been working on, too). I don't want this to be fanfiction-that's just a waste of my time.

  • Have you seen the video on the Temple Rooms? I drew them out on paper, then colored them on my laptop. You can find the annotation link near the end of the vid, and might help you picture (that part of) the game further!

  • I don't even know what "Legends of the Hidden Temple" is, but I Think that it's a great idea, and Nintendo should really look at your ideas, they're awesome.

  • If your Idea is really going to be on a wiiware, I am so Getting it!

  • i remember this show, it was cool

  • Yes, it was.

  • Not bad but it would be too hard for me to have one mii of every gender in a team. It would be easier with 2 of the same. That doesn't matter cause i don't have wiiware.

  • that is SWEET!

    that would be cool!

  • P.P.S.: How's Supermarket Sweep, Shop 'til You Drop, and Finders Keepers Wii sound?

  • Sadly, I don't know those. I also can only focus on one show now, the one I now believe will be the one I can send out to the world (and obviously the one I've been working on most of the year).

  • @mrbenio I didn't imply that they be worked on right away. Whenever it's convenient 4 u

There are several episodes of those shows on youtube. I'd check them out to see the potential.

BTW, Dee Baker from STYD voiced Olmec, but focused on cosplay. Finders Keepers was Double Dare's sister show.

  • Well, I know a bit about Dee Baker. I even know what he looks like.

  • This is GENIUS!!!

This is how you bring a vintage game show into today's society, not the disaster that was PYL 2010.

I'm loving all the ideas brought up here.

P.S.: I honestly hope they remake the Press Your Luck video game just for the sake of working out all the bugs that FremantleMedia were too lazy to proofread.

  • Heyyyy I remember this show! I agree, it should be on WiiWare!

  • Darn right! I have other videos about how the Wii Remote and Nunchuck work for moat, Temple Games, AND Temple Rooms follow the annotations (or just look for them on the sidebar). You'll see, IT WORKS!

  • I still think so too. Unfortunately, I don't have the time for these other three. "Legends" seems to be my top choice now.

  • I'm not sure!

  • Me neither. I'm wanting to get hundreds of users to see this idea, but I've been too busy with making more vids associated with this (as you've hopefully seen. I've been currently drawing Temple Rooms and their accessories). Besides, what are the chances of someone who works for Nintendo seeing this before I (try to) present it to them myself? Would you mind helping me out on this? Just send this video to everyone you know, and a lot of others you don't. That is, if you have the time...

  • @mrbenio I've actually sent an e-mail to Nintendo and got one back

  • Really?! What did it say?! I hope somebody liked it up there. I would've wasted over two months of work if they didn't... 8 (

  • Send this to Nintendo dude!

  • Do you know how? I doubt sending this in an e-mail will get anyone's attention there.

  • I hope Nintendo makes it, good job man!

  • How did you do make that stuff

  • Copying them from multiple web pages/videos with the "prt sc" keyboard button, and using Microsoft Powerpoint and Paint programs.

  • How awesome! I happen to think that, if these were to get onto WiiWare, they would probably be the top downloaded WiiWare games ever.

And I like the online feature, but would there be an offline mode to play against some CPU players of varying difficulties so you could practice?

Can't wait to see what you do with regard to Nick Arcade, that sounds like so much fun!

    BJ

  • An offline mode? Yes! It's in the "Training Grounds" section, where you can practice on Moat crossings and Temple Games, with challenges pitting you against the Tutes and the clock (but there's no practicing on Temple Rooms-it uses a point-and-click system, and I think it would be cheating if I let people practice on those). However, it may be another year or two before I get started on another game (the other three I have in mind have too much trivia for me to try and find all over the web).

  • I still think it should have prizes. What do you users think?

How did you record those images and words MOVING?!

I tried to watch this yesterday, but it was loading too long a few times. So I didn't finish.

Those are the prizes?! You call those prizes?! I would've expected something better, like free Wii points for the Shopping Channel! Or a WiiWare game! Or some Action Replay! Or maybe a blank disc!

  • Have you seen any "prizes" playing online video game contests on the "Check Mii Out" channel or Mario Kart Wii? NO. Could someone knock some (more) sense in this guy?!

  • I knew I shouldn't have added on to that last one. }:(

  • Awsome Idea!

  • You did a great job with this! But I feel kinda awkward because I don´t know how to support it! THIS SHOULD BE MADE!

  • How else? Send it to other users! ...Although I think YouTube must've ditched the feature for sharing the video to other users while watching it. Maybe paste the link on a message.

  • incredibly well done

  • Well, I did what I could use at my disposal!

  • Looks awesome. I would definately play it. I loved the show when I was young.

And also what program or device did you use to make this video?

  • Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Paint, and Windows Movie Maker.

  • You've done a great job at recreating the show and have really planned this out well. I'm gonna subscribe to see any new videos from you in future, because I'm sure I'll enjoy them. :)

  • This game would be awesome

On another note, the teams who lost at the moat and step of knowledge should be temple guards in the temple to hold off the challengers, activating traps and stuff :D

    But thats my opinion :P

  • Actually, the original three Temple Guards from the show will come back as well (I think they'll be in Mii form too). I'm even giving them names, and throwing in a fourth, female guard.

  • Very good! I wish I could get this game if there ever IS a plan.

  • This looks cool.

  • Oh that would be awesome! If there was a game like that. I would definately play it!!!!!

  • I have more annotations up!
