I have Vista and bought Halo 2 but can't play it on my laptop. Everything is good except for my video card (its 64mb, not the required 128mb). I had similiar problems when I got Escape from Butcher Bay but I managed to get it to work (after lots of messing around with settings). But Halo ain't having any of it! Is there any way to work around this, force it to run? I just want to play it to get achievements points for my xbox live account.

ok he told me about adding the serial key inside the document dwmapi that comes inside the Halo 2 XP crack folder (thats the name of the crack he download it) and then replace it for the original dwmapi after u guys have installed halo 2 because the original dwmapi document ask u to add the serial key before u got to play on live servers to verify that ur serial its legit like the old halo combat evolved and halo ce ,but the one u guys

Two things. 1. It was very typical, a good marketing scheme and actually quite smart for Microsoft to make Halo 2 for Vista. This means that people have to buy Vista if they want to play Halo 2 on PC. It was the same with Halo 3 and the Xbox 360. 2. When you get the answer out of your friend, let me know. :D
