no patrioti, you and your byzantine fans "know" or more accurately "believe" the interpretations your own fans influenced, during the albanian "blackout" period during most of the 20th century... but everything has changed now.
and all of these subjects have entered a period of unprecedented re-examination.
you and i have spoken before, so i know you are a good guy, but not terribly imaginative since you can only operate within a context established by others.
there was a time when many of these foreign writers relied upon "greek" "intellectuals" to help with sourcing and understanding history. they were not aware of the influence of politics and nationalism and the conspiracy to destroy or bury the Illyrian identity, and thereby finish off the Albanians.
people are more skeptical now, understandably so. and new more advanced methodologies for understanding language and culture are replacing your fascist malaka points of view with science.
chicagoGjergj, i give you credit for one thing: the ability to change your position, give new information.
whereas in the past you were excreting a view of Epirus as exclusively greek in origin, you now admit there were other components, of which Illyrian "probably" plays a role.
my hats off to you patrioti! you are still a self-righteous copy/paste nationalist with a singular agenda, but at least you have proven that even the balkans, people can change.
If you believe that the Albanian language is an ancestor of Illyrian, then you must contact Cambridge tell them re-evaluate the well established theory that Albanian being an Satem tongue and what we know of Illyrian being a Centum tongue, and thus the two cannot be interlinked.
Either way, we KNOW that Illyrians did not arrive in the north Epirus region until 1100b.c, and we know that the Greeks were there before 2200 b.c. The first mention of Albanians in Epirus come around 1360 AD...
btw, no, I am not an Arvanite.. to my knowledge.... but since you like to call me copy paste read this:
and
"Albanians living within Greece identify themselves with the Greeks. The Greek-Albanian hears with DISPLEASURE when he is called by his natural name, for he looks on it as synonymous with barbarian; he calls himself a Hellene, and prides himself on the appellation."

Some sources call the Souliotes Albanians others Greeks. What is for sure is that the Souliotes fought for a Greek independence. NOT an Albanian one.
Second, you are the only one with dillusions. I suggest you refill your prescription soon....
