It was the year 1987. I was eight years old. My aunt and uncle invited me over for my birthday to watch WrestleMania 2. I watched as legend fought legend (who's vitamins I ate every night before bedtime). I wanted Hogan to win, which he did; however, I did actually cry for Andre. Hated the guy, but cried for him. At the time, I had no idea why; but looking back, it all makes so much sense. I want to be a kid again.

Here's my take.

There are two Eras of Wrestlemania to me.

Pre Wrestlemania 20 and post Wrestlemania 20

Every Wrestlemania in the 20's has been awful (especially 23...my god)

With the Wrestlemania's in the 20's you were lucky to get 2 good matches involving someone not named Shawn Michaels.

Well I never saw WrestleMania 19 but it was in my hometown of Seattle, Washington. I wish I was there because I've heard a lot of people say it was a great WrestleMania over and over again.

What you said about WM 7 was true. But the REAL reason WM 7 moved from the LA Coliseum to the LA Sports Arena was because they wanted 100,000+ fans, & only sold 16,000 tickets. It didn't help they didn't pull the trigger on Hogan/Warrior II(the original main event plan), or else they would have sold 100,000+ tickets.

@WeAreProWrestling The World Wrestling Federation’s stated reason for the venue change was that a threat had been issued towards the company in the wake of Sgt. Slaughter’s portrayal of an Iraqi sympathizer. But I have heard that they changed the venue because of slow ticket sales.

@okk120 Shit! Looks like I forgot it. It was supposed to be after WrestleMania 27 and before WrestleMania 2000. The explanation for that spot: It was an average show except the main event(Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker). Not the worst WrestleMania but not the best either.
