If you educate people that'll lower administration costs by not needing as many people working to answer questions like these. Less people need to be trained on a LOT of information so it'll lower costs on printing and LARGE binders of information. trust me... I'm being trained to help answer questions like these :)
Having more people understand what these topics are will help those that also need more specialized help get that help, faster.
So with socialized medicine like, say, Canada. You get PPO selection without the upfront cost or the HMO restrictions. As a matter of fact, there is no co-pay with socialized medicine.
So, to sum up. Same service with no up-front fees.
Last time I checked the very purpose of the State is to protect its citizens from harm. The contract between individual and government cannot function without this principle.
Taxpayer money fixes roads, funds military and police forces, all in the name of protecting citizens. If another country invades, should each citizen be required to buy his own gun and defend himself to the best extent that his money can provide?
Gee I wonder what the jobless bums would be doing if they did not receive social security.
oh that's right, they would be using up our tax money in a jail cell!!!
Unless you are willing to execute them (which BTW still costs the taxpayers money for the guns, bullets and executioner salary), you will pay for it one way or the other.
eh, hey. Look at me. I am a snobby Canadian, We are too dumb to manage any health care so we tell the government to do it. Now when I have an emergency, it only takes 6 months to see a doctor.
-btw great video. It really explains the difference. Should go for POS and COBRA health care systems next.
Have you not figured out that you ARE paying for all your uninsured neighbors' health care (which they get at the nearest Emergency Room for free) with those ridiculously high health insurance premiums you pay?
This is great. Thanks, it's really helpful for someone who is just starting out in the healthcare industry. Rarely do these concepts get explained well.
hey the other day igot a broken nose i got x rated and that is im going home witoht wortt ing o of this sht. screw to be you american cunt of a cuntry LOL. DOWn with wutg the usa down with the usa suck it amnerica you no longer the superwower that you al in not so long from now.
I'm Alaska Native. Our Tribal Health Consortium built their own hospital. They provide the highest quality healthcare in the state and it's free for those of us who for whatever reason don't want to pay. Of course I never go there because I don't drink or smoke. I also eat real food 4 times a day so I'm healthy. Pills are not food.
I was vaguely familiar with PPOs and HMOs before this video. It does a god job simplifying the two and laying down the basics, but come on...a little more elaboration and nuances? we are capable of higher thinking
Funny how Humana is "educating" us by approaching with a hip youtube-style video. They're PR teams know what they're doing...screwing us???

Single payer = more options, lower cost and a day without the feeling of getting ripped off.
Let your doctor decide if you need surgery, not some guy working for the insurance company.

yea, and you pay for it through taxes anyway. Along with paying for all the jobless bums too. Smart thinking eh?

I rather pay a little more each month than Americans knowing that when I get sick or injured I can pay close to nothing.
