Always loved Nancy McKeon! On the set, they called her Faucet Face because of her ability to cry on demand. She was great in the movies Strange Voices and This Child Is Mine. Boy... nostalgia!

Nancy McKeon rocks! Clearly, she is the best actress out of the girls. All of the girls bring something special to the table. Nancy's scene here was amazing---tough and vulnerable. I was a ten year old boy when this aired. I had a crush on Tootie who is a year older than me. Jo is very pretty and still is today. That bitch Margo had it coming. Blair should have thrown water in her face instead so she could melt! Check out Molly Ringwald who was on season 1.
I'll bet that Margo girl was being so nasty to Jo because of some stupid, dumb guy, right?! It's always over some stupid, worthless male, isn't it?! Men are a waste of flesh, and yet we females always fight each other over them!
Actually, nah. She's just being hateful for the following reasons:
1. She's a stuck-up snob who comes from one of those rich prestigious type families. (In other words, she's a silver spoon in her mouth, type of snob)
2. Jo's the new kid on the block so Margo hazes her because of her poor family upbringing.
Blair and Jo have a 'Riggs-Murtaugh' style friendship...well, more like 'Tango and Cash' really. They can't stand each other, yet they must learn to tolerate one another in order to step up in the world. I liked how Blair smacked that snob in the face with that pie...she deserved it!
Nancy is one amazing actress. She pulls off the tomboy, street tough, thick skinned dyke; and with incredible ability...artfully and skillfully - slowly her rock hard veneer slowly chips away, her voice starts to crack and her eyes start to water...
I totally agree. It always strikes a nerve in me when the tough girls sort of slip up a bit... it's much deeper than when the sensitive ones do. It's probably because I identify with them more and I can kind of understand what characters like Jo go through when they tear up. And people should stop rating down bruceld's comment because he called Jo a dyke. I'm a dyke and I'm pretty sure Jo was one too. Lol. It's not a bad thing.

I hate to break up your fantasy but Blair and Jo are no more gay than Cptn Kirk and Spock. Your looking at this show through you fantasy glasses. Nothing is wrong with homosexuality, but i think it's wrong to make inferences were there are none. That being said, I will be jacking off to all 4 girls on this show, tonite. LOL!!
