when you join the chaos cov, theres a passage leading to a stone door and for the life of me i can't get it to open? ive tried being infected while wearing the witches ring and all whilst being level 3 chaos rank, but still the fucker will not budge. i did eventually find a new dead body there at the door. can't remember what loot i got from it, but as far as opening the door i'm screwed for ideas. anyone opened it?

I believe the Shortcut is under the bell in the area before you see the Albino Spider. The wall is where the Thorn Armor appears after you defeat the Kirk Invasion 3 times.

You can't open it. It only spawns Thorns armor after defeating the darkwraith 3 times. The shortcut from Demon Ruins to lost izalith is right before you fight the demon firesage.

@m4sterch13f222 cool bro thanks - i got the armor and i accidently opened the shortcut last ng, but that door really had me thinking it could be opened. my mind is free from the burden of finding a way to open that door, it's a shame it's not free from me cos i'll only find something else to puzzle over for a couple of ng's lol.

that's bullshit, you do not need to get infected. You can equip the Old Witch's Ring and talk to the Quelaag's sister, once you do that, he will trade with you

(area near first blacksmith)

@Crazycakebaker somebody probably already told you, but twinkling titanite is dropped by the clam-things in front of seath the scaleless (second fight) and demon titanite is dropped by titanite demons. there's one titanite demon somewhere directly in front of the fog-door to the bed of chaos, nothing special, but it RESPAWNS. also, it drops 2 demon titanites at a time.
