Hey, interesting commentary, i'm in California, about to take a flight to Boston, and drive to Wrentham to visit a good friend. Thanks for the view haha
It is a nice monument, the common also has a Helen Keller memorial, a Memorial to Wrenthams first town hall, a WWI memorial flagpole, WWII Memorial and a Vietnam memorial, plus there is still plenty of open space for memorials to future wars.
Did G G G-Father keep any memoirs/letters etc? Make it out alive?
He lived, but I don't have any letters or anything. I do have a book of some of his writings, but the earliest is from 1883. He was the superintendent of schools in Fergus Falls, MN, and wrote columns in the local paper.
yes i rang the bell..i think i got the honors because we were the only international family of refugees in town...eh..chosen by default. town looks the damn same..dry...quiet...dead as a doornail...wow...makes me appreciate leaving it so much more. it's a good place for making kids i suppose. although you know what they say about quiet little towns! hehehe!!!!!!!!!!
I know, it's driving me nuts, It's so quiet! Im even missing the crackheads and bums. Smelly Haight St. kids with their nasty dogs and ratty sleeping bags are more appealing than ever before! hahaha

I like the civil war monument. My great great grandfather Thomas C. Hodgson fought in the civil war, in the 8th Minnesota Regiment.
