  • One of the great rock albums of the 80's....John Sykes is definitely one of the under-rated guitarists.....check out some of his live performances, unbelievable.

  • @ultraroadmap plus Sykes is a better singer than coverdale

  • lmao get real.....

  • Sykes is a better singer than Coverdale? Man, you definitely need a doctor.

  • @t4sos1234 ive seen both live, imo i think sykes is better

  • Belgrade actually...

  • I remember this very well, I had just turned 11 when this record was released. My uncle, who always showed me the best rock, told me this album was truly special. He was right, I loved the hell out of "Whitesnake", and still do to this day.

This imo is one of the best rock albums of the 80's easily, and Crying in the Rain starts it off perfectly!

  • заради Тома??

  • this song is magic ... Daivid is god .. this solo is end of life, this solo is scream, this solo is madness ... this song is worth 100 000 000 000 views !!!

Full Respect from Bulgaria! FULL RESPECT !!!

  • Black cats.

    Stray dogs.

    Women scorned.

Men, sick and tired of life.

OMG, it's the Druids!!! Run for your lives!!!

  • Favorite Whitesnake song! What a way to start an album!

  • Fuckin Eh!!! When you crying in the rain!!

  • E to je ljubav. WHITEEEESNAKEEEE

  • i agree this solo was john sykes at his best

  • Fucking Awesome solo in this song, one of the best I have heard !

  • it's raining

but the sun is shining in my heart

'cuz i was on whitesnake concert on wednesday

  • Whitesnake choked on the spandex after Coverdale fired Sykes and Dunbar. DC canned so many members of WS, must've accidentally fired himself at least once. Coverdale must've had standby musicians off stage in case he fired somebody halfway through a set. "In the still of the night I feel my heart beating ...Carmassi you're fired!...[instant drummer change]...heavy!.."

  • @RenoDoctor That is like a synopsis of their wikipedia page. It's just a list of awesome musicians who were in Whitesnake at some point and left (and sometimes came back). But it seems clear the real magic left with Dunny/ Sykes because the post 1987 stuff with Vandenberg/Campbell/Vai, etc etc was super cheesy plastic and I can't even remember the names of the songs they wrote :P

  • This is John Sykes version.

    From the album "Whitesnake" 1987

  • awsomw fucking song

  • this song rocks but everyone only hears the guitar in the solo...listen to the drums

  • @NeptuneSkies some kind of triplets on bass drums what i can hear. :-) and at the start sound like a fill with toms and bass drums. :-) or i could be wrong.

  • John Sykes is a fucking legend..

  • David Coverdale surely is a singer with a lo of ability

  • Aynsley Dunbar made it awesome.........

  • I love this this! The synths make it sound SYMPHONIC!

  • ye bg is the last castel of the real rock. love you dave

  • This song makes my nuts drain.

  • John Sykes - a true guitar hero

  • One of TEN best hard rock songs EVER

  • WHEN YOU'RE CRYING IN THE RAIN ...

  • Caraaaaaaaaaaalhooooo!

  • This is a good tune but John Sykes made it awesome.

  • JOHN SYKES!

  • Anyone else there wonder if Cov "borrowed" some of the melodic and rhythmic ideas from "This Time Around" from Come Taste the Band? Not saying it's anything close to a ripoff, but everytime I listen to "This Time Around", my mind goes to this tune...anyone else out there see it?

  • right off the start sykes starts with some fast pull offs, his playing on this album is the so great,

  • holy shit sykes is really going for it all on this one, just a guitar players dream song, what killer playing dunbar does during the solo to build it up, i remember seeing a version with powell on it, and his playing was not as good as dunbar did on here, he really gets it going with sykes,

  • God I love that pinch harmonics.. Tan ta ratata squeeeeeeeeall ratata squeeeeeeal :D

  • epic solo!

  • for years when my english wasn't too good, I thought that when Coverdale sings "thoughts", he sang "farts" ... I'm glad that I learned english pretty well later on.

  • WHat a song

  • The main thing I miss about the 80's is my long curly bushy rock god hair.

Head banging with short hair just doesn't feel right. :O(

Oh to be back at the Glasgow Apollo (circa 1983).

  • yeah!! 80ts rulles!!

  • Totally.

  • This song gives me power :)

  • @Killer34454 Agreed!! I got such a rush from Syke's guitar solo run, used to race my car all around town during my High School years to get a bald day out of head... =)

  • First time I heard this, and I enjoyed it very much! I like David Coverdales deep blues-based voice!

  • just wanna invent the damn time machine...

  • chimba de cancion

  • The 3rd song i played on guitar

  • Coverdale is one of a handful of metal singers, who still mix blues/r&b with hard rock. Last of a dying breed.

  • I feel rebirth :P (rock)

  • You say Bruno Mars, I say Guns'n Roses

You say Hannah Montana, I say Aerosmith

You say Owl City, I say Bon Jovi

You say Jonas Brothers, I say Queen

You say Taylor Swift, I say AC/DC

You say Justin Bieber, I say Fuck You

95% of teens these days listen to the same formulaic, crappy pop over and over again. If you're one of the 5% who still listens to real music, thumb this up, then copy and paste it to at least five videos. Don't let the spirit of rock and roll die!

  • @7savetheplanet Dude... what are you talking about? Pop has been around since the days of recorded music began! For every Pop star, there was always a counter, whether it was the early blues artists or during the 50s when it was Ricky Nelson and Chuck Berry. It's not "teens these days", it's been the same since AT LEAST the 50s. It's rather silly to try to compare a teen idol product with a real rock band. Furthermore, I notice there's NOTHING in your post about Whitesnake! Stop spamming!

  • T'was the soundtrack of my first love :)

  • Respect and deep bow !!!!

  • What a voice from the beginings :O (inlove)

  • Aynsley Dunbar really "brings it" in this song. Compliments Sykes' playing nicely.

  • full respect from BG !

  • @daniznai Тотален респект,братче!!!

  • @daniznai from BaGhdad??

  • @shabanshau BG-Bulgaria!!!

  • i whant this on guitar hero!

    thumbs up

  • Έπος.

  • That's what i call a song !

  • The sun is shining

But it's raining in my heart

  • best song~

  • Those were the days ... to bad i was born in the wrong era !

  • @TrebleKiller thats how i feal too dude.. i hate this day and age :P

  • @TrebleKiller i could not said it better my self. this is the kind of music videos that we used to see on mtv & vh1 now theses so called music channals are nothing but about slutty girls and stupid dum reality shows. put mtv & vh1 back to the way it was ment to be about good music videos like this. todays music sucks we can"t get that feel from the music from todays that we could from 80s music. it was about the sex, drugs, & rock "n" roll i will take the sex & rock "n" roll keep the drugs.

  • Damn I miss the 80's

  • @Drsnafubar I wish I lived these times

  • @dory96 Yeah they were prosperous times, unemployment was low, people were freer, govt wasn't in your business 24 / 7, Reagan was in office fixing all Smilin' Jimmy's fuck ups, the beer was flowing, the bongs were smokin' and the bands were kickin some serious ass. The 70's were great too but it wasn't 'til the latter part of that decade that things got better for me

  • @Drsnafubar 70s:-?black sabbath,acdc, led zeppelin:)

  • @Drsnafubar you are lucky that you ever life those times!

  • @Drsnafubar me too >< I wish if I could be born in the 60' so that I could have lived in a better time <3

  • @LeroOo21 as a child of the 70s I got to hear so much great music from the late 70s through the early 90s. In some ways I agree with it being a better time, of course I'm bias. Now ain't so bad, but things then were indeed much simpler.

  • fuck todays shit, this is the best ever!!!!!!!!

  • (rock) only queen and white snake forever

  • coverdale, man!

  • Superb glad I got to see them a few time's

  • Comment removed

  • John Sykes owned this shit!.

Its a shame Coverdale kicked him out of the band before he got the oportunity to perform it live back in the 87-88 tour.

  • Nobody can sing this Song only 1 % like Coverdale

  • @Savlo1 i know a guy who sing 10 times better than him...

  • @Nikomegadeth

Hahaha good Joke. No one can sing so powerfull high and low tones like coverdale.

The Power of this Voice is amazing.

I have all CD's of David Coverdale and i have heard so diffrent Music Styles of him...

  • @Savlo1 there are 6 billons of peoples around the world, there's thousands of singers with better voice than him... Don't be a closed mind person

  • @Nikomegadeth - there's no proof in the pudding...

  • @Nikomegadeth yea man, Im sure there are thousands of people who can sing better than him but nobody can sing his stuff better. his voice is very unique and gruff that just lends a sense of downness to the music. i mean hell look at dave mustaine. great gruff voice, and NOBODY could ever replace him in megadeth, but at the same time he probably wouldnt be singing opera, right? so i agree with you, but i also agree coverdale is right for this stuff

  • @Jacksonkellyfreak

well if somone went to replace Mustaine, Megadeth would most likely be over since Dave started the band.

  • @Nikomegadeth hahahaha what a joke! coverdale is at the top 5 singers of all time. go learn some music

  • @skliris80 of all time??? HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH he's good, but top 5 of all time is just a joke...

  • I smoked my first joint at this concert on my 13'th birthday, 25 yrs later still get goosebumps when i hear this

  • What is this ??

Can someone direct me to the real "Crying in the Rain "

Yeah it was done by a band called Whitesnake ....released somewhere around 1982 ....The album of it's origin was called "Saints and Sinners" ....

Is this Poison doing a cover of that great song ??

  • @mlmr11 Dude, This IS Whitesnake.

  • @7H3541N7 sarcasm

  • @mlmr11

no, its Whitesnake. You can easily tell the difference between Coverdale and Michaels.

  • amazing song, wish there were still artists like this around

  • hell of a song

  • I know people like to compare music genres and all that stuff,

    put one down or whatever.

But this song (and album) is a group of musicians at the top of their game.

It's simply a GREAT fuckin' song!

  • FUCKING JUSTINE BEIBER.

  • Kakva pesma.....

  • If a girl ever broke up with me, i know what to listen to

  • I want this song to be played on my fucking FUNERAL !!! O_O

  • God, this takes me back to high school. Not knowing shit was great. I want to go back and stay there. (Best times of my life)

  • That solo was so epic.

  • does anyone think whitesnake is heavy metal?

  • @Rorschachxx1985,eh not really

  • @Rorschachxx1985 they are one of the classics of heavy metal.

  • @HasaniSabbo

Whitesnake is a typical representative of Hard Rock! 4/4 time signature, then verse - interlude - chorus, sometimes repeated, and guitar solo. That is not Heavy Metal.

  • @ProudofJoergandMaik Thanks, I sometimes use these terms interchangably. Back in the day when Whitesnake came around late 70s early 80s - it was popular to name the genre in which they perform - hard rock/heavy metal all in one word. What I want to say is back in the day the line was blurry.

  • i LOVE CoverDale

  • Epic.

  • nice try

  • i fucking love this song (rock)

  • @ViktorMarlowe So do I. I play this song to all the guys that ever broke my heart.

  • @pyromaniac502 OMG i agree i would too

  • John Sykes is one bad mother.

  • '82 version is much much better

  • how could you say that ; I' ve heard the Saints and sinners version first . But Sykes is far better than Moody/Galley both .and the final Solo ......

But Saints and Sinners is a very good album ( better than "Slide it in" for me

    This version isn't the album version of ' 87 , sure .

  • @demonsgate66 I agree with holydiver73.. more bluesy.. and btw.. galley didn't play on saints and sinners.. he did some backing vocals though..

and for me "slide it in" is my favorite whitensnakealbum :D

  • simply great
