you're right Bill. drugs are nearly always just temporary contentment. i don't recommend lsd, mushrooms etc. but when i was younger and experimenting, it became apparent how crazy my everyday existence was while under the influence as an outside witness, similar to my natural "awakenings" later on in life. it can be a way to face misery whether u like it or not, and it can be really really miserable.

Got to agree with you about the psychedelics thing. you're right Bill. drugs are nearly always just temporary contentment. i don't recommend lsd, mushrooms etc. but when i was younger and experimenting, it became apparent how crazy my everyday existence was while under the influence as an outside witness, similar to my natural "awakenings" later on in life. it can be a way to face misery whether u like it or not, and it can be really really miserable.

Got to agree with you about the psychedelics thing. I wouldn't say mushrooms and DMT couldn't be helpful, but I would certainly agree that drugs and substances are not the best way towards enlightening experiences. All the positive stuff Joe and others talk about while going through a DMT trip other much more intelligent and much more comprehensively aware individuals have done through patience and self awareness.
