Reading a russian novel inspired by X-com, which inspired me to play through X-com once again!!! I'm really happy i got to play this game back when i did, and i still enjoy playing it years later!!!
Don't you love killing as many aliens as possible, as fast as possible ^^? That's what I had in mind haha (I usually had 8 people and a tank of some sort too most of the time, just when attacking bases and very large ships I used an avenger)
I still remember, some casual interception, soldiers killing aliens and then, OMFG, Chrysalid, panic of being overrun by zombies, focused fire, everything else was so unimportant at the moment but killing that freaking alien :)
nothing was more terrifying than playing in the dark with headphones on. then starting out with total newbie soldiers, one of them getting freaked, and blasting everyone point blank in the skyranger with a missile launcher. good times. =D
doing a ricochet launcher bomb on the last stage was always instant win. except that time i forgot to move the shot up a level, over the group of guys..
This game and UFO - Terror from the deep are classics, best game in the genre, that was never duplicated by others,I wish Microprose would do another game or just a remake of the originals with new graphic engines, this game in DX10 would be awesome. (BTW I rebought those games from steam) and I dont regret it at all
X-Com: Extraterrestrials? If that's the one you've heard about, then it's true ^^ Although the game is much different than this, and I personally don't like it. It's worth giving a try tho :)
Watching this in high quality and (but not necessarily) in full screen mode, the whole movie should look much better ;) High quality will make the music sound better too!

Hah, so many soldiers? That is too much, i always preferred teams of 6, max 8 soldiers... Cant imagine playing with strike teams like this :-D
