Thank you. Finally I have found the song I learned when i was only 8 years old.

At school, we learned many folk songs and I learned the English version and sang it along with many other folk songs we learned. I never heard of the history of the song until just now..... thank you. Now I will sing it knowing the full history.

@MrVivahorn well I have double checked and it appears to be a dispute. the version of Polish "Czumbalalajka" appears to be a later version while the Yiddish Lyrics is original. BTW there are few versions of Yiddish Lyrics and few more parts that are omitted today's day

I only wanted to say, since I had to learn the German language in school, I understand a lot more of the songs my mother used to sing for me in Yiddish. However the difference between Yiddish and German is obvious in a lot of words.

Btw, since you commented, there is no such thing as a Jewish language, it is the Yiddish language that binds most Jewish ppl.
