  • The other thing too is that when dunking in a half court setting you wanna keep the ball low to minimize chances of getting blocked. That's why especially centers like Shaq in his prime were always told keep it low when dunking so someone don't come outta nowhere and block you. Luke Longley, too is another good example - watch his dunks. Today guys like Wade are a good example and I think even Dwight Howard nowadays keeps it low too.

  • Most of his dunks were not even trying to jump high. I am sure he could jump higher than that when he at the age of 35. MJ is smart, he didn't want to get injury, so he didn't jump high for his dunk. I can say, he is the greatest basketball player and he is the smartest basketball player with talents.

There are some active NBA players have the same talent as MJ, but they are not as smart as MJ.

  • Great upload!!!

  • Epic!!!

  • MJ wasnt giving 110% on most dunks, thus means MJ is too raw!

  • MICHAEL 'JACKSON' JORDAN is herr

  • the greatest

  • This is awesome! I love seeing rare Jordan highlights and almost all of these dunks never show up in any of the usual highlight packages. Jordan at age 35 still getting up for some massive dunks!

  • When so called experts commented on ESPN and NBA TV comparing MJ and Kobe, they seemed to forget that MJ is the only scoring champion to win championships, 6 of them. He was the oldest scoring champ at age 35 while shooting the same % as Kobe's CAREER shooting %. Shooting 46% that year was low for his standard but it's good for Kobe's standard. These so called experts also forgot that MJ retired the 1st time because the game wasn't challenging anymore. When he returned, he just won 3 more rings!

  • his layups r lethal

  • nice dunks but you could see his athleticism had gone by them

  • @denshaotoko89 Well said. His game in 98 was all finess and skill. He was still quick, but far frome the MJ of 84-93. You can see the loss in vertical, but the dunks are still so graceful. It was the perfect year to retire and leave on top.

  • ugly invert effect :p

  • all that at 35, when Pip missed half the season

  • TNX Arkade2345 for making this vid man........I lost some interest in the NBA ever since MJ stop playing but I'm glad guys like you can come up with this kind of great rare vids .....keep it up Peace !

  • I hope Hoopsencylopedia gets to watch this......this is an awesome mix and MJ just makes everything look so easy.....how old was he in that year ? 35 ? well his ability to drive to the basket quickly is something to behold and theres nothing that can stop him at any direction and thats whats amazing about MJ he has no weakness when it comes to approaching an attack towards the basket.......they didn't called him AIR JORDAN for nuthin...........MJ = G.O.A.T. 4ever!!!

  • Wow, crazy mix. So many rare plays/shots on here. The sequence of shots from 2:30-2:53 is crazy. I also like that you included some long 3's towards the end -- people say Jordan couldn't shoot 3's, but anyone who's watched his career knows that he hit literally DOZENS of deep 3's to tie/win games, or to bring his team back late, or in late shot/game clock situations. His concentration to hit those sorts of shots in those situations was unmatched even though he wasn't 3 great 3-point shooter.

  • Thanks a ton for this.

  • 2:46 and 2:50 that's crazy shit right there..... you're not supposed to be able to do a moves like those at 35 lmao. Jordan at 35 was more athletic than half the league is playing today's bullshit brand of basketball

  • Shit, guys hit their early 30's and struggle to dunk at all. MJ was a beast man. I was truly lucky to be a Chicagoan and watch all of his games when he was here. Sorry guys, you really missed out, these Youtube videos are nice, but really you don't have any idea.

  • @mustseebbtv whenever jordan played his games were aired nationally lol.

  • nobody at the age of 35 can play like this

  • @brian05fubu Well said. As good a leaper as Vince is, he didn't dunk as much lastseason compared to MJ at age 35. MJ was just nasty. Even now at 47, he probably would dunk on some young dudes just to be nasty.

  • @bballmemories Yes, but Vince was(and still is) 33 years old last season, and his dunks are only shadow, compared to MJ's in season 95-96(also at age 33).
