I bought a 135i and I love it. It is really portly (heavy) and the grip out of the box is nothing compared to what the subie can get, but what a great every day driver. It's comfortable and I can get a MTB in the trunk.
I'm a $2k ECU flash and $2k suspension (Dinan) from getting the car I really want. It really is amazing how much just a tad more money will get. Other than that I couldn't be happier as is. I love the WRX though and wish I had one to toy around with.

I have a 135i and a MY07 WRX in my driveway.
A flashed, intake, exhaust wrx has the edge 0 to just over 100 or 60mph for you americans.
Anything midrange to top end the 135i eats it. The factory turbo of the wrx dies off.
