  • if we dont take risks, we will never know how far the limit is. the rider wouldent have tried the jump if he thought his horse couldn't do it.its not like the horse is too out of shape for this, and the jump knocked down very easily, so the risk wasn't as high as it could have been. that take some insane courage from the rider. Cmon guys stop being haters .

  • You need to calm down guys, this horse is trained for this! It wouldn't have attempted that jump if it didn't trust its rider.

  • He should have stopped when he won.... no horse should have to jump that high after a serious comp like that.

  • ...why, oh why, is the crowd so noisy? And being encouraged?

  • How stupid of them. Horses can jump fences of this height, but it takes exceptional courage on the part of both the rider and the horse, and it is not fair on the horse to have to end it on a bad note, or to try to do this after the horse had already performed to an exceptional standard. But all you saying 'good for you, horse, for getting the rider off' are wrong - the horse would have trusted the rider implicitly to jump that height, and would not have deliberately got him off.

  • too bad... they should've ended on the good note of winning the class...

  • After he falls off and tries to rab the horse the horse was like "Um...no, I'm not letting you catch me! Are you crazy?!?!" Haha xD that horse was extremely honest.. I don't think any horse should be allowed to jump that height :(

  • that jump was WAY to high for a horse that size.... it culd've broken something if it landed wrong! luckily it looked fine and it looked like no dammage was done

  • good horse for getting the rider off!!! anyway i would leave the horse to rest in his/her stable, not jump again!! >:(

  • that's why you quit while you're ahead...

  • how stupid. be proud for the win and give your horse a damn rest

  • the horse was tired and needed a break already. He couldn't handle that wall after rounds of jumping courses.

  • i agree. i think just jumping ur horse for hight is wrong.they agree to jump. they trust u thats u wont ask them to jump any thing dangerous or harming. and that was not it. the horse tryed thinking he was being guided to a safe jump witch he was not. i beileve the idea was childish and not thought out.

  • you may aswell give it a go when you have the chance, however if the horse was hurt in anyway i would be saying differently.....x

  • amazing!!! it just wasnt his day thats all :)

  • Instead he walks off calmly and doesn't gallop away scared, and by the noises of the audience, he's gotta be boomproof!

  • @ElAkhira

Ok, first off, your an idiot. This isn't just americans, so you cannot say that we always have to go one bigger. Bristish riders and all sorts of riders do exactly this, always pushing it to the limits with regards to their horse. Horses can physically jump this high, but of course like this one, it doesn't play out like that. Go and use your crudy american jokes somewhere else please.

  • @ElAkhira - thanks, way to stereotype, jackass

  • agreed didnty help that he was too slow, and his horse was on the wrong leade

  • What an honest horse...

  • Very

  • Seriously ppl stop bashing on showjumping if you don't know a thing about it. These horses are treated like KINGS! My horse gets a CHIROPRACTOR I DON'T. He gets scheduled massages, he has an equine dentist. And for the last time THEY WILL NOT jump if they don't want to. These are some of the most willing, boldest horses you will find. I have a 4yr old 14.2 filly she's done growing and she freejumps 4' for FUN. She's jumped 3'9 without question she does it bc she loves it, because she's a natural

  • irresponsible riding ... very skilled rider no doubt, but lack of respect for the horse and its comfort zone just to get a crowd reaction.

  • aww good try

  • i am french xd tou le monde parle anglais pk !??

dommage ke le cheval nest pa reussi a sauter !! =(

  • I agree. I saw this live, and that was very stupid. The horse had already jumped his rounds and WON. He should have been primped and kissed and hugged in the back RESTING. Try it again when he's had proper rest and such! Not right after a strenous competition

  • whooo.. scary!

  • Aww they were both going for it properr :P

Bless them they put there everything too it...

The horse was fine but looked as if 'I should of cleared it'

    Bravoo!!

    xo

  • the horse was walking fine at the end, not lame

  • He was walking yes, but I'd certainly disagree with you on that "not lame" part... look at him, those aren't 'regular' steps he's taking in the front.

  • Idiot.

  • Who, you... for that post that's as moronic as it is pointless?

  • Who, you? For that post that's as moronic as it is pointless?

  • Hahaaa, very orginal comeback. Ok I will expand on it. He should have stopped, he had already won and didn't think about the horse. I am moronic?

  • umm he's no idiot. He helps get my horse ready fro me at shows. He knew his horses limits. He knew he could do it. It's called a bad distance. Ever heard of one? so yah that was very "moronic" of you to say.

  • BRAVO indeed!!xD xD xD

  • poor guy, he tried his heart out!

  • poor horse, obviously limping afterwards.

    Hopefully it was ok though.

idk why some riders feel the need to push things to the limit until someone [or their horse] is injured.

  • haaha it's not riders, it's all of the human race - e.g. speeding cars, climbing mount everest, deep sea diving.. we're all the same

  • the horse was fine, did u see it walk away. not limping at all, it looked ok to me =]

  • But thats not the whole point, alot of riders do need to learn to stop. And to MavJem, yes all the things you mentioned were not pushing animals. People know their own limits but they do not know animals limits, sometimes riders just need to learn when to stop.

  • well honestly if people didnt push the limits there would be no riding as it is today.. when you train a horse you are constantly pushing them to their limits. that horse wanted to jump that jump or it wouldnt have. you cant force horses to jump jumps that big if they dont want to no matter how hard you try.

  • i was there on sunday i was watching for 12 hours i saw bruce burnsten's daughter and the governer of new yorks daughter herd she was a jerk

  • okay first off its bruce springstein, and second Georgina Bloomberg is no jerk! She is a very nice person, and she is a fantastic rider. PLs don't post rude things about ppl. u dont know. thnx

  • i was there that day

  • that was stupid

why go bigger when you have all ready won

  • he probably thought his horse felt good that day so he was trying to break the record. that means fame and..yeah idk. that's why

  • These are sooo kewl

  • Haha I was there too...you got me on tape when Morrissey was cantering away from the first jump.

  • Too bad he tripped over it...

I called the rider daddy because his last name was kinda like mine... lol.

  • I was there!

    It was AWESOME!
