This was the best song of the concert. As much as I love Blind Faith, the concert as a whole was weak. It was so bad in EC's mind, that I think he made up his mind then that it wouldn't last.
@sugapablo Obviously I wasn't there :) but Clapton has said that they were pushed to major tour before they were properly gelled. Stevie Winwood felt that Ginger Baker wanted to pull the band into direction where Cream left off while Winwood and Clapton intended the band to be a vehicle for new ideas and different style.
@datarecoil Yeah this was hardly Blind Faith at there best. It almost sounds like they where tired or something. Personally I think Sea of joy and was the best thing they did at this concert. Under my thumb was kind of cool too.
@000clint yeah, lol, he was also filmed at a few other major concerts, I think: Isle of Wight, Monterey Pop, and I think even Woodstock... check into it!
yeah... the singer was the most important person of a band then, all the others did not get that much attention. Nobody knew how famous Clapton would get later!
@RedKhandro are you kidding me? clapton was already a super star when Blind Faith was around because they formed right after Cream split. everyone was quite aware of who he was and how talented he is. get your facts straight.
They all knew - they were writing Clapton is God on the walls during the Bluesbreaker era, even before Cream. Clapton was the biggest star in London other than the 4 from Liverpool
@shuddupeyaface I really doubt it- sadly, it's all too corporate now...

Telecaster 'woman tone.' sexy.

I like this version much better than the "poundy" version that reached the album, or maybe it's just more likeable in retrospect.
