MW2 looks like shit. It's cropped and stretched. This is like cropping a wide screen movie into a full screen but the other way around. Instead of the sides you lose the top/bottom perspective. In MW2 the gun took up 90% of the right screen when it was reloading 5:34 . You could hide an army behind that gun. Is that because MW2 does not fully support eyefinity?
I play the racing game dirt 3. I have a racing simulator next to my computer. The racing rig has a 32" lcd in front and a small 7" lcd that sits off to the side of the steering wheel. I was all three monitors connected to my graphics card which supports eyefinity. I was hoping to have the 7" monitor be a permanent view of the "rear-view" (what's behind me in the racing game) I have seen this done before but I don't know how I might possibly set this up. Any ideas? Thanks!

Any idea why I can't get an extended desktop with 3 displays? I have the 6950 FLEX edition. For some reason It only allows me to have 2 displays running at the same time.
Monitor 1 - VGA-DVI adapter
Monitor 2 - HDMI
Monitor 3 - DVI
The 6950 flex card is supposed to allow 3 displays out of the box without the need for any adapters. This is the reason I purchased it.
@persianbraveheart Your configuration should work with no problems. Please can you make sure that you are using the SAPPHIRE VGA-DVI adapter that came with the card, plugged in to the white DVI-I port on the card and ensure that you are using the latest drivers from the AMD website (Currently 11.12). All screens need to be capable of displaying at the same resolution.
@SapphireUKPR thanks for your reply. I've figured out the problem. My card is NOT a flex card. It's a regular sapphire 6950 2GB. I have 4 outputs and no white DVI slot, only 2 black ones. The retailer where I bought it must have put it into the flex edition box. They messed up big time and will be hearing it from me tomorrow first thing :)

So I got 3 24" monitors and 2 HD6970 running in crossfire. And it sees the 3 monitors in Catalyst Control Center. Now I try to duplicate the screens but when I try to duplicate to the third screen I get that 2 processors are not supported for duplicating to a third monitor. Now I also tried to extend it, but it doesn't work either. Ive used 2 DVI ports and 1 Mini DP to DP converter (came with HD6970) and a DP to DVI cable. I don't know what to do, help me please!
Hi, I have a single hd 6970 and i am triying to use my 3 monitors. i connected it to 2 dvi's and 1 mini display port to dvi, but its still asking me to disable the other monitor if i duplicate or extend the other monitor.

I have a SAPPHIRE 100293DP Radeon HD 5570 w/ Eyefinity and the SAPPHIRE Active DisplayPort Adapter 100924 DisplayPort to DVI Interface. I have 1 monitor plugged in VGA, another monitor thru DVI and the third one thru the DP to DVI adapter. Using CCC 11.8, I cannot Right-click to enable the 3rd monitor. I need some advice, I am trying to set up the 3 monitor setup in Eyefinity with a 5870 card. i have 2 monitors on dvi and the 3rd using an active adapter. when i go to catalyst control, which I updated to the current version. it shows that 3 monitors are displayed but the screen looks different than the one on the video and the monitors do not have a black triangle on them to create or expand, how do I fix this? I will restore my computer to where I first installed the 3 monitors to start
ive got a 6850(2x dvis 1 hdmi and 1 display port) and have 2 monitors in mind but they have dvis and hdmis do i still need to use the crappy display port thing? or could i connect two of them to the dvis and the final one to the hdmi
@Niqbal87 You will still need to use an active adapter in order to use eyefinity. The only cards where this is not the case is our FleX series, where the adapter is already built on to the PCB.
on my system im running two radeon hd 6870, when i use eyefinity i need to have all my monitors pluged into the same vid card. also i need a dp to dvi (ACTIVE) adapter for it to work, the adapter has usb for extra power, and there not cheep, $130special order. if you found this helpfull thumbs it up
I own a Sapphire ATI 5870 Eyefinity 6 Edition graphics card (the one with 6 mini-display ports on the back) and I cannot setup multiple monitors... I just got my 3rd monitor today and tried following the steps in the video but each time i try to duplicate the 3rd monitor it asks me to disable one of my current ones. Hi Sapphire My only question is while watching Blu Ray or DVD over even HD movie files the scaling isnt the same of having the resolution of 5760 x 1080 ,therefor any movies played on Eyefinity will only be watchable on 1 monitor !! Does the Eyfinity only work with ATI radeon cards or can it work with Nvidia. I own a high end Nvidia GTX 560 Ti and I really don't want to have to buy a radeon to use triple screens.

@sayfoo22 A 560 is hardly "high end", but to answer your question, Nvidia has NV Surround (which your card should support, but you'll need to buy another 560 to SLI with it in order to get it to work.
That's the main advantage of Eyefinity over NV Surround, AMD allows you to run 3 or more displays off one card, whereas NV Surround requires you to run in SLI mode.

I can get the one big desktop across the three monitors, but my resolution is not correct. The biggest I can set it to is 4800x900, even though each monitor individually is capable of 1920x1080. You need to do a new how to on this. As the CCC software has totally changed since your tutorial. I have a 5570. Two monitors via DVI. One monitor via Display port with active adapter. And no way can I figure out how to make all three work!!!!! This is really frustrating. Can you link to a new tutorial with the NEW CCC software. It is a two hi by three wide setup but with an extra touch screen monitor acting as the keyboard and a tablet, laying down on my desk underneath the bottom middle monitor. IS THIS POSSIBLE? i went to buy 3 LED's, and they told me Eyefinity wont work with 3 LED's connected by DVI, must 1 of the LED got display port and connected using display port cable, and the other 2 LED's connected by DVI, and using the display port converter to DVI wont work as Eyefinity, will just show 3 different screens (not one screen resolution) is that right o.O?? pls help
@Sniper1Hunter Standard cards can display to 3 as long as one of them is DP. If you try to use 3x DVI on a card like this then you will only get 2 displays working. If however you use one of our FleX editions of cards, you can indeed connect 3x DVI and it will work in Eyefinity. Please take a look at our FleX video
@SapphireUKPR you forgot to mention the third monitor that connects to DP - the DVI to DP adapter has to be ACTIVE. otherwise despite connecting to the DP, you will still get 2 monitors at a time only. please be more specific in your guides. i got screwed when i went to get a DP adapter and it didnt work. i nearly tore my whole computer apart until i finally figured out the DVI to DP adapter has to be an ACTIVE one. ordering one today and hopefully when it gets here tomorrow it finally works.

Firstly the bottom DVI port wont accept my DVI to vga adapter because it doesnt have the right pins on the left had side where the + thing is, it physically wont fit a DVI to vga adapter. I think you can use two but if you do then you will have a big black line down the middle of your screen so it will look messy, so it would be terribly difficult to play FPS's and other games.

I have a Sapphire 5970 but can't get Eyefinity to work. I have 3 LG 24 inch screens with DVI ports that run when I connect them to the graphics card with a DVI cable or a passive mini DP to DVI adapter cable. However I can only get CCC to run two of them at once. I did some research and bought an active mini DP to single link DVI adapter officially supported by AMD (Wieson G9858C219-006-H), but when I try to plug in all 3 monitors now with the adapter it still does not work. @Tsunami338 Eyefinity is a technology developed by ATI now owned by AMD and will not run on an nVidia graphics card. The current generation of Radeon cards wil allow up to 6 monitors to be connected to a sigle card which is not supported by nVidia in their consumer cards.
Also, nowhere does it say that the 3 monitors all have to be the same kind for the Eyefinity to work. The box only states under specifications that "monitors of any other type of VGA monitor"...NOT all have to be the same for it to work.
Once the Eyefinity is setup, you can not change the resolution on any indivigual monitor or profile without changing all three.
Your product is no where near ready to be sold to the public.
@thadeus62 I'm afraiid you are incorrect. Eyefinity doesn't require the same kind of monitors to work. It can use any brands of monitors of any size getting any input except with 3+ screens where a DP monitor or Active DP adapter is required for the 3rd screen (unless you have a FleX edition card). Due to the WDDM (Windows Display Driver Model) You can't enable Eyefinity across different resolutions so all of the monitors attached will need to be run the same resolution, which is the only limit
After talking to the folks on AMD tech support staff, they also agree there is no "extra" veiwable info..only more resolution over 3 screens. Whatever GRID, HAWX and WOW are won't work either. Call of Duty Black Ops.no. Left 4 Dead..no. Others are the same...no.
Spreading the news to all those thinking they are going to get what AMD advertises.
@thadeus62 If you have a look at 5:19 you will see GRID running what would be the normal screen in the middle, and the left and right screens show the larger FOV which is not seen when using a single monitor. This is because GRID can correctly recognise a multi display system and use the extra screens for more immersive gameplay by diplaying more viewable information. A good example in GRID is that you can see opponents overtaking you far before you would be able to on a single screen.

Hello, i recently purchased everything i figured i would need for eyefinity, i have all three monitors working as if they are running in eyefinity however, one of these screens (Displayport monitor) is flickering on and off rather frequently, please help me.
$500 later I have a working system that puts all of my multi-tasking capabilities to front and center. This is an excellent solution and the configuration video was completely informative. Those Active Adapters (absolutely necessary) run a little less than $100 each and Amazon has them in stock.
It once worked for me, but now after duplicating my 3 monitors, when I create a group I end up have 2 black screen on each side and when it ask me to select corresponding monitors with the blue screen... well it show only the third of my center screen with blue parts and right after that I end up with 3 black screens.

when i try to clone all 3 monitors on the CCC, it always lets me clone 2 monitors and asks me to disable one monitor to clone the third monitor... and then im left again with only 2 monitors.
i have a passive displayport - dvi adaptor. can this be the cause? and the monitor connected through displayport appears as dvi on the CCC.
@GogiRB With the HD 4650 you can do 2 screen multiple monitor but Eyefinity with 3 or more screens is only supported on the 5xxx and 6xxx series cards.
@SapphireUKPR hey nvm, With XP i could play games with 2 monitors like Dirt 2 with Horizontal Span, but now W7 doenstb have Horizontal Span, now I can't play games with both screens. :(

So I got 3 24" monitors and 2 HD6970 running in crossfire. And it sees the 3 monitors in Catalyst Control Center. Now I try to duplicate the screens but when I try to duplicate to the third screen I get that 2 processors are not supported for duplicating to a third monitor. Now I also tried to extend it, but it doesn't work either. Ive used 2 DVI ports and 1 Mini DP to DP converter (came with HD6970) and a DP to DVI cable. I don't know what to do, help me please!

I have a SAPPHIRE 100293DP Radeon HD 5570 w/ Eyefinity and the SAPPHIRE Active DisplayPort Adapter 100924 DisplayPort to DVI Interface. I have 1 monitor plugged in VGA, another monitor thru DVI and the third one thru the DP to DVI adapter. Using CCC 11.8, I cannot Right-click to enable the 3rd monitor. It detects that 3 monitors are conencted, but I can only enabled 2 at a time. Right-clicking on the 3rd monitor does not work. Am i missing something? Help!!!!

I need some advice, I am trying to set up the 3 monitor setup in Eyefinity with a 5870 card. i have 2 monitors on dvi and the 3rd using an active adapter. when i go to catalyst control, which I updated to the current version. it shows that 3 monitors are displayed but the screen looks different than the one on the video and the monitors do not have a black triangle on them to create or expand, how do I fix this? I will restore my computer to where I first installed the 3 monitors to start

@Niqbal87 You will still need to use an active adapter in order to use eyefinity. The only cards where this is not the case is our FleX series, where the adapter is already built on to the PCB.

I own a Sapphire ATI 5870 Eyefinity 6 Edition graphics card (the one with 6 mini-display ports on the back) and I cannot setup multiple monitors... I just got my 3rd monitor today and tried following the steps in the video but each time i try to duplicate the 3rd monitor it asks me to disable one of my current ones. If it makes any difference I am using 2 24" monitors and I just bought a 27.5" one.

Hi Sapphire My only question is while watching Blu Ray or DVD over even HD movie files the scaling isnt the same of having the resolution of 5760 x 1080 ,therefor any movies played on Eyefinity will only be watchable on 1 monitor !! Having Eyefinity myself ,any kind of movies i play on Eyefinity and they end up in the centre monitor and not across the 3 of my monitors due to there resolution of 1920 x 1080 .Please Help.

I have setup my Sapphire ATI HD5830 with Eyefinity ,this looks great on desktop however when i play games like Crysis or Dead Space 2 i have a small problem .
In there game settings I can not play at fullscreen and my monitors go blank !!
But if i set the games to under full screen ,i have a task bar for the game at the top of my 3 monitors any ideas how to correct this ??

@sayfoo22 A 560 is hardly "high end", but to answer your question, Nvidia has NV Surround (which your card should support, but you'll need to buy another 560 to SLI with it in order to get it to work.
That's the main advantage of Eyefinity over NV Surround, AMD allows you to run 3 or more displays off one card, whereas NV Surround requires you to run in SLI mode.

I can get the one big desktop across the three monitors, but my resolution is not correct. The biggest I can set it to is 4800x900, even though each monitor individually is capable of 1920x1080. I have two monitors going into my 5870 via VGA-DVI adapters, and a third going in via VGA-DP (yes, it's active). Any ideas?

You need to do a new how to on this. As the CCC software has totally changed since your tutorial. I have a 5570. Two monitors via DVI. One monitor via Display port with active adapter. And no way can I figure out how to make all three work!!!!! This is really frustrating. Can you link to a new tutorial with the NEW CCC software. Cause it looks nothing like the software you show in this tutorial.

Hi, i'm getting the 6990 (Saphire 6 edition) for my "Mission control" monitor system. It is a two hi by three wide setup but with an extra touch screen monitor acting as the keyboard and a tablet, laying down on my desk underneath the bottom middle monitor. IS THIS POSSIBLE? I would have 6 monitors in eyefinity and the touch screen one using windows' dual screen technology, (Implying 6 monitors grouped as one?)

Connecting 2 of the monitors to the “DVI”
Connecting 1 to “Mini Display Port” using an adapter (HDMI > Mini Display Port)
I detecting all monitors and can use them but only 2 at the time. When I’m trying to “duplicate” the 3 one it’s tells me to “please select a display to disable”. Any idea what the problem?

i went to buy 3 LED's, and they told me Eyefinity wont work with 3 LED's connected by DVI, must 1 of the LED got display port and connected using display port cable, and the other 2 LED's connected by DVI, and using the display port converter to DVI wont work as Eyefinity, will just show 3 different screens (not one screen resolution) is that right o.O?? pls help

@Sniper1Hunter Standard cards can display to 3 as long as one of them is DP. If you try to use 3x DVI on a card like this then you will only get 2 displays working. If however you use one of our FleX editions of cards, you can indeed connect 3x DVI and it will work in Eyefinity. Please take a look at our FleX video

@SapphireUKPR you forgot to mention the third monitor that connects to DP - the DVI to DP adapter has to be ACTIVE. otherwise despite connecting to the DP, you will still get 2 monitors at a time only. please be more specific in your guides. i got screwed when i went to get a DP adapter and it didnt work. i nearly tore my whole computer apart until i finally figured out the DVI to DP adapter has to be an ACTIVE one. ordering one today and hopefully when it gets here tomorrow it finally works.

Firstly the bottom DVI port wont accept my DVI to vga adapter because it doesnt have the right pins on the left had side where the + thing is, it physically wont fit a DVI to vga adapter. Secondly the HDMI to DVI adapter doesnt display anything in vga mode or detect any monitors when I plug a dvi-vga adapter in. Please help!

I have a sapphire radeon hd6870 card, and it has 2 dvi, one hdmi, and 2 mini display ports. I have 2 monitors hooked up to both dvi ports, and the 3rd monitor(my samsung lcd tv) to one of the mini display ports using a mini display port to display port adapter, and another adapter from display port to hdmi going to the tv. But In CCC it will not let me duplicate the 3rd monitor, it makes me disable one of the 2 i have hooked up, please help!

I think you can use two but if you do then you will have a big black line down the middle of your screen so it will look messy, so it would be terribly difficult to play FPS's and other games.

I have a Sapphire 5970 but can't get Eyefinity to work. I have 3 LG 24 inch screens with DVI ports that run when I connect them to the graphics card with a DVI cable or a passive mini DP to DVI adapter cable. However I can only get CCC to run two of them at once. I did some research and bought an active mini DP to single link DVI adapter officially supported by AMD (Wieson G9858C219-006-H), but when I try to plug in all 3 monitors now with the adapter it still does not work. Any tipps?

@Tsunami338 Eyefinity is a technology developed by ATI now owned by AMD and will not run on an nVidia graphics card. The current generation of Radeon cards wil allow up to 6 monitors to be connected to a sigle card which is not supported by nVidia in their consumer cards.

Also, nowhere does it say that the 3 monitors all have to be the same kind for the Eyefinity to work. The box only states under specifications that "monitors of any other type of VGA monitor"...NOT all have to be the same for it to work.
Once the Eyefinity is setup, you can not change the resolution on any indivigual monitor or profile without changing all three.
Your product is no where near ready to be sold to the public.

@thadeus62 I'm afraiid you are incorrect. Eyefinity doesn't require the same kind of monitors to work. It can use any brands of monitors of any size getting any input except with 3+ screens where a DP monitor or Active DP adapter is required for the 3rd screen (unless you have a FleX edition card). Due to the WDDM (Windows Display Driver Model) You can't enable Eyefinity across different resolutions so all of the monitors attached will need to be run the same resolution, which is the only limit

After talking to the folks on AMD tech support staff, they also agree there is no "extra" veiwable info..only more resolution over 3 screens. Whatever GRID, HAWX and WOW are won't work either. Call of Duty Black Ops.no. Left 4 Dead..no. Others are the same...no.
Spreading the news to all those thinking they are going to get what AMD advertises.

@thadeus62 If you have a look at 5:19 you will see GRID running what would be the normal screen in the middle, and the left and right screens show the larger FOV which is not seen when using a single monitor. This is because GRID can correctly recognise a multi display system and use the extra screens for more immersive gameplay by diplaying more viewable information. A good example in GRID is that you can see opponents overtaking you far before you would be able to on a single screen.

I have 6870 and I use 1 dvi port - 1 hdmi port - 1 disply port converted in active to hdmi. 3 same monitors and modell and company. WHY I CAN'T duplicate in 3 monitor? When I choose option DUPLICATE, nothing happen... no error, no 3th monitor, nothing at all :( pls help me

I forgot to say I have 3 monitor Samsung FULL HD 24" HDMI ao I'm using only HDMI connector, but I tried also 2 mini and 1 DVI, I tried 2 DVI and 1 Mini, I tried all as possible in ur imagination :( When I try to activate the 3th monitor the system ask to me to disconnect 1 monitor (windows 7 ultimate). The computer is TOTALLY NEW, ram, mainboard, hd all is new.. I really don't know what can I do more then this :'(

Once you get eyefinity set up, do you choose hdtv settings or 1680x1080? I'm trying to get World of Warcraft to span 3 screens. I'm not having any problems using the 3 screens in windows vista...

Hello, i recently purchased everything i figured i would need for eyefinity, i have all three monitors working as if they are running in eyefinity however, one of these screens (Displayport monitor) is flickering on and off rather frequently, please help me.

$500 later I have a working system that puts all of my multi-tasking capabilities to front and center. This is an excellent solution and the configuration video was completely informative. Those Active Adapters (absolutely necessary) run a little less than $100 each and Amazon has them in stock.

It once worked for me, but now after duplicating my 3 monitors, when I create a group I end up have 2 black screen on each side and when it ask me to select corresponding monitors with the blue screen... well it show only the third of my center screen with blue parts and right after that I end up with 3 black screens.
What is going wrong ? I do exactly as the video say.

I have a simple question anyone can answer for me. im currently doployed and i will finally be going eyefinity (3 screens) when i come home and i was just wondering with the three screens when you open a browser and maximize it does it only maximize on one screen or all three?

I now got eyefinity online and active -> proud :)
But i got this little problem i cant seem to salve. The monitor connected (acitv DP adapter) to the adapter always starts shutting down and switching back on ... guess its got something to do with the MHz, cause it always glitches while playing or exiting a game.
Anybody got tips?

after setting up the 3 in 1 , you cannot change the res. ... i tried changing it to 5xxx but it resets back to 6xxx.
any other ideas?

Hi bill,
when i try to clone all 3 monitors on the CCC, it always lets me clone 2 monitors and asks me to disable one monitor to clone the third monitor... and then im left again with only 2 monitors.
i have a passive displayport - dvi adaptor. can this be the cause? and the monitor connected through displayport appears as dvi on the CCC.

@GogiRB With the HD 4650 you can do 2 screen multiple monitor but Eyefinity with 3 or more screens is only supported on the 5xxx and 6xxx series cards.

@SapphireUKPR hey nvm, With XP i could play games with 2 monitors like Dirt 2 with Horizontal Span, but now W7 doenstb have Horizontal Span, now I can't play games with both screens. :(
