I building a Vulcan right now.. :) :) A beauty of a plane, I hope to see 558 flying before they run out of funds.. or hours.. :)

What is the Vulcan used for? Bombing? Attacking? Surveillance?

Display. It's the only one remaining and is only restored for display flights. They went out of service decades ago. But they were originally bombers

dam good take off fitting finale for 558 this year glad to see she is bedded down at lyneham for winter lets hope we can keep her as i live not far away in chippenham you must have been stood right next to me when you filmed this blizzard as i was in the park in bradenstoke when you was cheers for a good video mate

AAHHH,,,a fitting way to end the season. What a brill year she has had. Heres to XH558 for the 2010 season and for the future :D Looking forward to seeing you next year already :)

I absolutely love the Vulcan, I have seen it about three times this year, but it is fantastic and awe inspiring, considering the level of work (and money), involved to bring her back.

I saw her at Fairford, Brize (while on base), and Kemble.

I just wish I was at Lyneham yesterday, I don't live too far from there either. Thanks for the video, wrapped off a very exciting year.

Looked like XH558 took off from the opposite end of the runway, from your last Lyneham video, were you filming from the same spot ?
