  • RIP Morrie... your mates in 161Bty and 6RAR will never forget.

  • Ted, I just found out via your posting that Morrie Stanley had gone to Fiddler's Green.

I read the story of Long Tan and saw the amazing docu about it too. To borrow an old line, probably from a movie..."Where do we find such men?"

Godspeed Morrie, NZ has lost another hero.

  • RIP Morrie. A quiet legend amongst the 161 Bty RNZA fraternity. A legend within the wiser NZ Army community as well. A friend of mine had to do a presentation on the battle to a Military Schools cse back in the 1980's. Morrie Stanley was a guest. The PA system shit itself, and my mate had to yell to make himself heard in the back row.

Afterwards, he asked Morrie how he enjoyed it. he replied "Travis, you were so loud it was almost worse than being back there!"

    ANZAC Forever.

  • RIP Morrie, Ubique.

  • Farewell Morrie, you can stand down now after a job well done, all of Australia owes you for what you did in Long Tan.

    My condolences to your family

    We thankyou.
