@Tmii15 if you catch all of the bird fiends u get Pteryrx, when u unlock him the guy gives u 99x megaphoenix for gathering the birds ( you need 4x condor 4x simurgh and 4x alcyone )
@supersillett . Well it's been a month since you've posted, so I'm not sure if you're further than you are now or what. But all you need to have are Auto-Phoenix, Auto-Haste on three characters, the comrade overdrive mode set for the three characters you want to train and the Overdrive to AP, Triple or Double Ap abilities, 99 phoenix downs, and just keep attacking Tonberry, and if you can't beat him, run away from him then keep repeating.
@Flipazn777 like stanleefanatic said, you cant, but would you really want to if you could? triple ap + double ap = 6 times the normal ap gain... triple overdrive + triple ap = 9 times the normal ap (if you include od -> ap offcourse ^^)

@bizkit047 my dear friend if you have rikku's ultimate weapon it also will have gillionare :P the only hart part is to get rikku's sigel to give the weapon it's full strengh't because you have to do the cactuar side quest (if done right it wil give you a friend sphere aswel ;)
You should add Auto-Phoenix. You can get these by bribing wraiths in the Sunken Cave (or you can simply bribe the ones you fight in the monster arena). 20 of these gives you Auto-Phoenix, which makes this trick a lot easier and better, and gives you much more experience since turns are used to get killed (thus more overdirve -> AP).
And, to make life a lot easier, just get Godhand and max Rikku first. She's fast, and can kill a group of 4 enemies before anyone ever attacks. Easy to get too.

I was able to have nearly all my characters sphere grids maxed out by the time i finished the story mode,all side quests, and collected 10 of every single fiend in the game to battle nemesis.
By this time every single one of my characters sphere grids were already maxed.
Matter of fact I actually had levels to spare. 99 levels for most characters just sitting there and 3 characters with between 30-50 spare levels by the time i obtained nemesis in arena.

oh and mimic + gillionaire is a vastly inferior method of gaining lots of cash!!!
the malboro menace trick is much better as instead of gaining a potential 100k with mimics (of which ur not garunteed to get into a battle with), you DEFINATELY gain millions in like 20 - 30 minutes. heres the vid (not mine) -

i know another trick which NOONE seems to have bothered posting...
return sphere trick, u can bang up these tough enemies for return spheres...and they are pretty much as good as sphere levels...simply move to the sphere u want...use whatever (power,mana,speed..etc) to fil in the next sphere..then use the return sphere to warp u forward one...simple as...and fast as fuck..it also means u dont get lost..cos u can warp wherever the fuck u want
@RobinH00Dz return sphere is alright... but its better to cover the entire grid (the process of moving the character around) as if you want to re-design the entire grid (erase and replace nodes) for maximum stats, its far easier to do so if the charatcer has already been everywhere on the grid (as opposed to having to re-return shere move - which would take much much longer than simply moving a character to nodes he/she has already covered)
i just did this, with a 3-slot weapon with the abilities "triple AP", "Overdrive->AP", and "Triple Overdrive". i killed a lot of fiends, but i got over 23 million AP and gained 99 levels in one go! thanks for the video! now im rich and high on AP!!! XD
you can get 99 underdogs secrets if you master al bhed by finding all 26 primers, and theres gotta be guides online. as for triple OD not totally sure....

@WWEfan779 ^_^ Not a prob. I wish I could tell you the exact species/area you have to dominate for the x99 winning formula... but, all I know is I was just getting Auron's Mars Sigil, and... when I got back, I got the crapton of items, and the Winning Formulas were one of them.

It's how many kills throughtout the gameplay that character has gotten. ^_^ For all tonberries other than Don, the equation is (# of kills)x10. For Don, it's (# of kills)x100 lol. ^_^ (Yeah, I know, a month late, but... this was just for people who come back and see this. ^_^
there are many people all over the web, who are absolutely convinced that the green area in the sunken cave does not improve your chances of encountering a tonberry.
I don't know how these people can say such things despite the numerous confirmations from the people that say they have a much easier time finding tonberry's there.
So for anyone who has been looking for tonberrys for hours, go to the green room where I found mine within the first minute after searching for an hour. Good Luck

Avenger = A weapon for Tidus containing Evade&Counter or just Counterattack.
You cannot compare a weapon to an overdrive mode. Just read the guide, an understand it. You can use any weapon you want, since all you're gonna do is kill that character and then Flee at the end.
@ZehNAcc you need to put your chars in stoic mode for there over drive and then get overdrive -> AP (goes on weapon) then for a huge boost in received AP get double AP(goes on weapon) or triple AP(goes on weapon) above basically you can't use any weapon you want as in you statement you said --------------------------------->

hmm does it matter how much dmg he does to you because i have it with Rikku Wakka n Tidus and when he kills tidus it does 30k ( it does more in the video) i also have triple overdrive thingy but i only got 7-12 points
If you overkill the one eyed monster (lol) he'll almost always drop two magic defense spheres. He'll also drop either triple ap weapons or magic armor, which you can sell for a high prize (since he'll probably drop repeats)
lol iv tried to catch every monster in the cavner of the stolem fayth for the don tonberry and for some reason i cannot get a tonberry to spawn and iv farmed that cave for 2 hours

I think it is once you defeat Seymour Omnis inside sin, you can freely leave via the airship at a save point, but you may be able to leave as soon as you get in sin. Not sure 0.0

u can just get spheres from really weak monsters with extract *your wanted sphere*. anyway i did this and instead of the yay 1 slvl from the omega dungeons i got 43 slvl for wakka!!!!! ownage! btw when ur character has 101 total slvl overall it stops increasing and is always 22 000 ap to next slvl
Kool guide. but in my opinion gil guide is worthless! jk :P.... I would just go 2 kilka port then buy lots of tetra shields.. then go to the arena, kill kotos and he will drop 40 healing springs(if overkill) then go customixe yr tetra shield put auto-regen and sell it 4 a whopping 37k :D and repeat this over and over ^^
One-Eye sometimes drop triple-slotted Triple Ap ability, which sell 67k if your character already has it, which is useful (Profit of 59k since you have to pay 8k to fight) AND One-Eye drops magic defense spheres too.
Takes too much timeee. Just get Rikku's Godhand, (with crest+sigil) go to Omega Ruins, switch around your team for the strongest 2 (excluding Rikku) characters, (for me, Auron and Yuna), and fight Mimics. 100,000 gil with Rikku's Godhand, 50,000 gil without it. Mimics aren't rare, either - so it's extra easy. =]
my tactic with auto phonixs and turbo x button stops you from dieing so you cant die anyway you need auto-phonix on 2 charcters and and a turbo controller is optional but it makes it faster but this way its safer
Hey um, for some reason I can't customize my weapon with triple ap, I checked i have enough items for it, it just won't show up on the customization menu does anyone know what i'm missing?
well becuase when i did this trick i had thought i had put the other 2 on comrade but they were still on stoic cuz i was doing the Cactaur king trick before i started to do the Don tonberry one and Tidus was only one that leveled from it and also reason i had only 254 strength instead of 255 is because i ran out of power spheres to activate the last strenght node >.>
My game time is misleading, because I leave it on 24/7, and I just got back from Michigan after being there for 3 weeks, which is like 400 something hours...But I have like 690 hours on FFX, and have Auron, Yuna, Wakka, and Tidus maxed out on at least 4 skills. Auron is completely maxed out, except for his luck, which is like 40 or something, Tidus is maxed out with everything but luck,magic defense, and evasion. Yuna is maxed on strength, magic, magic defense, and LUCK! =DD
Don't search for it in the snow covered areas of Gagazet. It appears in the cave that's after the place you fight Seymour for the third time. Also, Google "ap trick ffx" for further help.
Ahriman is not just at gagazet it is actually inside sin Gagazet Zanarkand Ruins and in the cave at Gagazet it spawns more commonly Inisde Sin though usually around either 2 or 3 spawn at a time
You use the move "bribe" which you get on the sphere grip, then, during an encounter you go to special ->bribe...then you choose the amount of money you want to bribe the other...
A fast way of getting gils is by selling weapons with triple ap that you get from one eye...
So if you killed 2000 enemies, will you get 200000 AP (99999 Damage) for each Karma, or is the maximum for each hit still 99999 AP, regardless of how much more enemies you kill?

Well, once with NO triple overdrive weapons, Yuna in stoic OD mode and Tidus & Auron in Comrade, I made 76+ levels for Yuna and 45+ Levels for Tidus & Auron

i tried this for auron, kimahri and yuna but kimahri only gets about 2000 damage, yuna gets 700 damage, and auron gets 14000 damage (he's the only one who dies) why is this? i thought maybe it has to do with their high magic defense
your characters wont take alot of dammage from him because they havent killed that many monsters, and if u think im mistaken , look at how much damage he does to a person , go kill any fiend with that person and fight him again and he will do a little more damage, i recomend u stick to cactars.
ya, it's all about the kills. the more kills the character has made, the more damage it will do. (you want one character, the sacrificial character, to have a high amount of kills and a low hp)
btw i find killing one eye easier if your trying to make easy gil, because one eye drops equips that are like worth 15k-75k worth of gil and you dont have to look for random encounters for 100k gil and it takes 2 hits of 99999 just to get it
on a final note do not try the gil trick unless u r a reasonabley high level, [with aeons use the magus sisters hitting at least 9Ok with sandy on normal attacks and all 3 of them being 1OkHP+ including mindy] if not ur probably doomed as he counters every single attack u make and if ur magus sisters arent even strong enuf to all b 1Ok+hp hes gonna b hitting 9999 with EVERYTHING meaning ur not gonna last long. i wish u luck :D
the costs to do this are 6kgil each fight against kottos, and 2kgil per shield thats approx 12kgil cost per 3 shields 3 shields sells for 11Okgil netting u a healthy profit of at least 98kgil per fight. if you need to know how to unlock kottos check the arena monster guide on gamefaqs
id also like to add there is a much easier way to earn gil, buy tetra shields from the armour merchant in kilika about 2kgil each, next kill kottos at monster arena preferable overkill him then use ur items from the fight to customise SOS regen onto the tetra shields, if u overkill him u can get 4O of the item only 12 are required for each SOS regen and that means at least 3 shields per kill, the shields sell for a tidy sum of 37kgil

It's how many kills throughtout the gameplay that character has gotten. ^_^ For all tonberries other than Don, the equation is (# of kills)x10. For Don, it's (# of kills)x100 lol. ^_^ (Yeah, I know, a month late, but... this was just for people who come back and see this. ^_^

there are many people all over the web, who are absolutely convinced that the green area in the sunken cave does not improve your chances of encountering a tonberry.
I don't know how these people can say such things despite the numerous confirmations from the people that say they have a much easier time finding tonberry's there.
So for anyone who has been looking for tonberrys for hours, go to the green room where I found mine within the first minute after searching for an hour. Good Luck

Comrade = Overdrive mode
Avenger = A weapon for Tidus containing Evade&Counter or just Counterattack.
You cannot compare a weapon to an overdrive mode. Just read the guide, an understand it. You can use any weapon you want, since all you're gonna do is kill that character and then Flee at the end.

@ZehNAcc you need to put your chars in stoic mode for there over drive and then get overdrive -> AP (goes on weapon) then for a huge boost in received AP get double AP(goes on weapon) or triple AP(goes on weapon) above basically you can't use any weapon you want as in you statement you said --------------------------------->

If you overkill the one eyed monster (lol) he'll almost always drop two magic defense spheres. He'll also drop either triple ap weapons or magic armor, which you can sell for a high prize (since he'll probably drop repeats)

I think it is once you defeat Seymour Omnis inside sin, you can freely leave via the airship at a save point, but you may be able to leave as soon as you get in sin. Not sure 0.0

hey if you guys don't have that much money for the sand worm then:
1: go to kilika and buy as many tetra shields as you can
2: go to the arena and fight kottos and obtain 40(or 20) healing springs
3: custimize the tetra shield to have SOS regen and then sell them you get sheds loads of cash

u can just get spheres from really weak monsters with extract *your wanted sphere*. anyway i did this and instead of the yay 1 slvl from the omega dungeons i got 43 slvl for wakka!!!!! ownage! btw when ur character has 101 total slvl overall it stops increasing and is always 22 000 ap to next slvl

Kool guide. but in my opinion gil guide is worthless! jk :P.... I would just go 2 kilka port then buy lots of tetra shields.. then go to the arena, kill kotos and he will drop 40 healing springs(if overkill) then go customixe yr tetra shield put auto-regen and sell it 4 a whopping 37k :D and repeat this over and over ^^

One-Eye sometimes drop triple-slotted Triple Ap ability, which sell 67k if your character already has it, which is useful (Profit of 59k since you have to pay 8k to fight) AND One-Eye drops magic defense spheres too.

Takes too much timeee. Just get Rikku's Godhand, (with crest+sigil) go to Omega Ruins, switch around your team for the strongest 2 (excluding Rikku) characters, (for me, Auron and Yuna), and fight Mimics. 100,000 gil with Rikku's Godhand, 50,000 gil without it. Mimics aren't rare, either - so it's extra easy. =]

my tactic with auto phonixs and turbo x button stops you from dieing so you cant die anyway you need auto-phonix on 2 charcters and and a turbo controller is optional but it makes it faster but this way its safer

well becuase when i did this trick i had thought i had put the other 2 on comrade but they were still on stoic cuz i was doing the Cactaur king trick before i started to do the Don tonberry one and Tidus was only one that leveled from it and also reason i had only 254 strength instead of 255 is because i ran out of power spheres to activate the last strenght node >.>

My game time is misleading, because I leave it on 24/7, and I just got back from Michigan after being there for 3 weeks, which is like 400 something hours...But I have like 690 hours on FFX, and have Auron, Yuna, Wakka, and Tidus maxed out on at least 4 skills. Auron is completely maxed out, except for his luck, which is like 40 or something, Tidus is maxed out with everything but luck,magic defense, and evasion. Yuna is maxed on strength, magic, magic defense, and LUCK! =DD

Don't search for it in the snow covered areas of Gagazet. It appears in the cave that's after the place you fight Seymour for the third time. Also, Google "ap trick ffx" for further help.

Ahriman is not just at gagazet it is actually inside sin Gagazet Zanarkand Ruins and in the cave at Gagazet it spawns more commonly Inisde Sin though usually around either 2 or 3 spawn at a time

You use the move "bribe" which you get on the sphere grip, then, during an encounter you go to special ->bribe...then you choose the amount of money you want to bribe the other...
A fast way of getting gils is by selling weapons with triple ap that you get from one eye...

So if you killed 2000 enemies, will you get 200000 AP (99999 Damage) for each Karma, or is the maximum for each hit still 99999 AP, regardless of how much more enemies you kill?

I have Tidus / Auron the people attacking without Triple AP or w.e and Kimahri has Comrade and Triple AP / Overdrive - AP, So ye, you can use on 1 guy or 2 guy or 3 guy, doesnt matter, i got 500k xp from using 1 guy though.

hmm...without triple overdrive you got around 14-26 levels right?
Well, once with NO triple overdrive weapons, Yuna in stoic OD mode and Tidus & Auron in Comrade, I made 76+ levels for Yuna and 45+ Levels for Tidus & Auron
This was using King Cactuar....So is this method Really better?

i tried this for auron, kimahri and yuna but kimahri only gets about 2000 damage, yuna gets 700 damage, and auron gets 14000 damage (he's the only one who dies) why is this? i thought maybe it has to do with their high magic defense

your characters wont take alot of dammage from him because they havent killed that many monsters, and if u think im mistaken , look at how much damage he does to a person , go kill any fiend with that person and fight him again and he will do a little more damage, i recomend u stick to cactars.

ya, it's all about the kills. the more kills the character has made, the more damage it will do. (you want one character, the sacrificial character, to have a high amount of kills and a low hp)

btw i find killing one eye easier if your trying to make easy gil, because one eye drops equips that are like worth 15k-75k worth of gil and you dont have to look for random encounters for 100k gil and it takes 2 hits of 99999 just to get it

on a final note do not try the gil trick unless u r a reasonabley high level, [with aeons use the magus sisters hitting at least 9Ok with sandy on normal attacks and all 3 of them being 1OkHP+ including mindy] if not ur probably doomed as he counters every single attack u make and if ur magus sisters arent even strong enuf to all b 1Ok+hp hes gonna b hitting 9999 with EVERYTHING meaning ur not gonna last long. i wish u luck :D

the costs to do this are 6kgil each fight against kottos, and 2kgil per shield thats approx 12kgil cost per 3 shields 3 shields sells for 11Okgil netting u a healthy profit of at least 98kgil per fight. if you need to know how to unlock kottos check the arena monster guide on gamefaqs

id also like to add there is a much easier way to earn gil, buy tetra shields from the armour merchant in kilika about 2kgil each, next kill kottos at monster arena preferable overkill him then use ur items from the fight to customise SOS regen onto the tetra shields, if u overkill him u can get 4O of the item only 12 are required for each SOS regen and that means at least 3 shields per kill, the shields sell for a tidy sum of 37kgil
