If I ever go to France, Ima climb the Eiffel Tower to. 1) Because that elevator doesn't souond trustworthy, and 2)You lost the experience if you ride it the whole way up.

I so wanted to go to the top when we went to Europe!

But some of the family were really scared of heights, so we ended up not going to the top.

I'm with you Stevie. Sure taking the elevator seems like the logical thing to do (if you don't mind plummeting to your death.) BUT "trekking" up the Eiffel Tower appears to be a much more memorable -n- gratifying eperience. I can almost feel the cool breeze from the sounds around you and your expressions. Love it!

Especially with your lovely sidekick (your cam) for all of us, not there, to see. Thank you this is a wonderful video.

I love this video!!! I went up the eiffel tower 30 times in 2007!! (but only 3 times without the elevators :p ) But it's always so amazing!!!!!!!! The view is incredible isn't it???

lol this makes me laugh, when I went up the Eiffel Tower, with my Boyfriend , he said, "well we are on the highest point of Paris (not sure :p) we should be able to see everything...but where is the Eiffel Tower??" Yah I know he's crazy :p... For the Record; A few months ago from the Eiffel Tower, we could have seen a heart drawn on the lawn of the Champs de Mars" it was so beautiful... but they fix the lawn :(

it is very cool that you documented your triumphant experience of climbing to the top of the eiffel tower. I went to france once but never got the chance to climb it. however, i was able to see the miniature version of the statue of liberty. that was cool too. hehe. :)

Ohh, so one time I climbed it and ate at the restaurant with my family, and then we learned that there was a 'crazy person' on the tower, and they made us run, yes run, not walk, but run all the way back down the stairs. I think they managed to get the 'crazy' before he jumped or blew anything up.
