  • Thank you very much, Judy.

I took the liberty to translate the instructions to Estonian (we are rather crazy about making Christmas balls, all with the national patterns and such) and share them in my blog. I hope you don't mind. I've also got both of your videos linked there, with fond regards.

  • @Mithgariel

thanks for the comment. great to hear from someone so far away. have fun making those balls.

  • A life saver! I am knitting a hat, and I want to hang an eyeball off the end... (The hat looks almost like a brain)... this is most helpful! :)

  • @GothicRavenGoddess

I would love to see a picture of the eyeball and brain hat. Can you send it to me ?

  • I'll have to send it to ya in a message since it won't let me post the links. (I'd have responded sooner but I never got the message until yesterday!) :)

  • @knittingtipsbyjudy better yet, I'll even do a video response :)

  • @GothicRavenGoddess ugh. nevermind. my camera isn't coperating and its pissing me off beyond words. I'll have to do it later. I posted links to some pictures, on your main page. Hope you can see them.

  • Is there any way to knit this ball on circular needles?

  • @RandomnessISJoy

you've probably figured this out already, but, yes, with magic loop method.

  • I down loaded a pattern on how to make a childs ball. But couldn't undetand the directions. I've been knitting for only a month and figured I was many months away from learning this. I do have one question, If I do want to make I toddler ball how many stitches do I need to cast on? Thanks. I look forward to making more decorations to my tree.

  • @queenme02

sorry, I thought I had gotten back to you. You always start the way my pattern does and just keep increasing till you think it's the right size, then start decreasing.

  • AAhhh..... You got me here Judy ! !... i'm soooo lost. , but thats what i said when i first started doing the bobble, and i managed. Again Thanks for these great videos.....

  • Not only do I love your information, I love watching your hands! They are lovely - compliments to whoever does your nails. I am excited about knitting a ball! It will make a lovely gift for my kitty, and one for my grandbaby! What is so nice is that I know what is inside it - that it's all clean and safe for loved ones who may put it in their mouth.

  • @bellylaughing

Well, thank you for your nice comments. I hope you enjoyed making the balls for your kitty and grandbaby. Someone else wrote to me to tell me that they filled the ball with catnip for their kitty.
