Hey buddy, is there a chance I can request a song medley or two? I would like to hear Piobareachd of Donald Dhu and "Theres a Long, Long Trail Awinding". Is there a chance you could do that?
I wish I could tell you the name of the tune. I got it off the Bobbity Shooty albumn but since it is vynal and I don't have a turn table at present it is packed away and I can't get to it. Sorry.

Thank you, Larry for the kind words. I have thoroughly enjoyed my fireside pipes. My set is pitched in B flat. My drones are blackwood with imitation ivory rings. My chanter is plastic. I have recently purchased a chanter in A (also in plastic). I kind of wish I had spent the extra $50 and gotten the blackwood chanter, though. Happy piping.
David, thanks for the reply. And especially, thanks for your patience in helping people. I think you have good piping kharma. :o)
Is the fingering different for, say a B-flat chanter versus an A chanter? That is, are the holes spaced differently because of the keys? I like both the Firesides and the Ceilidhs, and I'm wondering about having to get used to different hole-spacing on the chanter.
David; great stuff...clean and strong! And sweet pipes...
Is this a stock set? And is your chanter blackwood or plastic? I'm gonna get a set of Firesides, and while I understand that each piper has his or her own "tone", that's the sound I'd like in a set of pipes. Thanks, Larry Dunnagan, Myrtle Beach, S.C.
I had an opportunity to play a set of these about a week ago and I can attest that they are just as sweet sounding in person. If I'd had another 100 bucks with me, they would have SO been mine...
Clever playing sir, I'm searching out some more of your vids straight away!
Awesome Sound! I use to play the Highland Pipes years ago and very impressed over the Scottish Small Pipes. You play wonderfully! The tone is pleasing to the ear and was told you can play them in small places. I have pipe music but no chanter or pipes now do to life circumstances, but if I ever had the opportunity and finances I would love to play these pipes.
Those pipes have a beautiful sound. I assume they are much quieter than the highland pipes, correct? I was just wondering, I was thinking of purchasing a set in the future.
Yes, they come in a bellows form. My pipes are in Bflat but they also come in A, and D. I was fortunate enough to find mine in a pawn shop for $300.00. I would recomend checking Gibsons website for the latest price.
Just got a new Gibson price list. $625 for plain mouthblown coca-bola Firesides, and I think the bellows are a good bit more. I believe the price jumps several hundred for bellows. Don't quote me, since the price for bellows Firesides wasn't given, but the Ceilidhs go from about $675 for plain mouthblown, to more than a thousand, for bellows-blown. If you'll email Gibson and ask, they'll send you the complete price list.
Thank you, so much. You do me a great honor. I could not be more pleased with my Fireside pipes. Easy to play, nicely balanced and a lovely tone. My set has blackwood drones. I really like the drone shut-off mechanism you've devised (very clever). God bless, best wishes and much success in the coming year.

I truly enjoyed the performance. I've been thinking of a set of Gibson smallpipes for some time now. What is this tune called?

Hi David,
The sound is enchanting! I could listen to you play all day.
The Gibson pipes along with your skill are worthy to be in a movie sound track.
BTW- Are you in the Christian Pipers and Drummers Association?
